“Friendly welcome, tasty food and helpful staff. The atmosphere was calm, with a little bit of music in the background adding to the festive cheer. We then found out there was a quiz going on, which we joined and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The quizmaster (I think his name was Paul), was helpful, friendly and made us feel welcome.”

“Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and warm pub. We would definitely return when next in the area as we were made very welcome. Shame we were late and the kitchen had just closed as the food that was being served looked and smelt lovely.”

“Always nice here. Pub grub at a good price in a lovely setting. Beautiful lake right next to it. Always a good pint and a cracking meal. Service is always great too. Been going to the Smithy on and off for years and really cant fault it. Hits the spot every time! If you download the greene king app too you get occasional offers like a free pint or desert etc”

“Yes it's a spoons but out of all the ones I've visited it was one on the nicest. Never have I ordered a Hendricks and it been served with cucumber (even though this it what it states on menu). Top marks Worksop. Didn't eat but plenty of people where and what I saw looked well cooked and nicely presented, definitely better than some other places which I won't name. Staff were extremely pleasant and cleared tables quickly despite how busy it was. Toilets were clean and well maintained.”

“Really cute place we visited while travelling. Ordered caramel vanilla frappes and they really lathered the caramel on there--down the sides on the top with whipped cream. Really happy!”

“This is our second visit from Doncaster and the staff are lovely and friendly and food is good too, nice and hot as some Wetherspoons we have to send back as chips are only warm. We were particularly impressed with Zak who was very helpful and polite.”

“Myself and my partner are in Nottinghamshire visiting family and are stay within walking distance of the pub. Nice quiet pub, with easy access. To the front is a small seating area, to enjoy a pint with friends. Inside has a eating area and a bar/games area. Very clean and friendly public house. We have 2 dogs and was welcomed by a friendly member of staff. The food was to a good standard. Prices of drinks where at a very good price. Well recommended a visit.Well done to all and thank you.”

“Stayed nearby in a Travelodge Sunday before travelling up to centre parcs Sherwood forest on the Monday. Thought we'd all pop in for a breakfast before leaving and glad we did. Food was excellent. Service was great and the atmosphere was one of the best I've experienced. Highly recommend”

“Love this place!! Just had takeaway from here- it was delicious. It’s spotless and clean inside and the meat is lovely and fresh. They gave us free pop and free 12” garlic bread too. Pictured is the mixed chicken and lamb kabab. Recommend getting extra yoghurt sauce too it’s so fresh and tasty.”

“The food from here is absolutely top draw, it’s cooked to perfection and tastes great. The staff are always chatty and polite, delivery is great to, the drivers are very polite to. I would highly recommend these guys, as never had a bad meal from there since they opened.”
