“I don't normally post reviews, but I think we should all be making an effort to let people know when we have had fantastic service (as let's be honest it's a rarity these days). I called into Deichmann in Barnsley after work today, purchased 2 pairs of boots and the staff member who helped me was great (I don't know his name but he was tall with dark hair). He was happy to get a shoe box down for me which I was struggling with and waterproofed my shoes for me at the till point. He was polite and chatty and explained things well and asked if I needed a bag. He also ran round the counter to hand the bag to me. I should say as well I felt very safe in store, room to social distance, hand sanitizer provided and it was explained that if you are wearing socks you are welcome to try shoes on. I left feeling very pleased with my experience and would definitely call in again. Well done Deichmann! 5 star service! :)”

The person before me was unjustifiably rude to him but he handled it with grace and diplomacy. “I was shocked to see today (Sat 11 Jan 2025) the signs up saying the store was closing down today. Staff despite losing their jobs were pleasant and helpful and I wish everyone well on their future endeavours. A splendid shop with brands like rieker, clarks etc -also my late mother loved this shop for her shoes and the great service as she was partially sighted and staff very attentive to sizes/ correct fit etc”
