“Thank you for stepping in at the last minute to provide food at our 1st Christmas fair yesterday at Meersbrook. I could not have wished for anything better, with only 24 hours notice, they provided us with such amazing food, And this is a first they actually communicated with me, arrived on time, and basically just got on with what they do. I will be definitely using them again and if you have an outside event and like Greek food , book them, you won’t be disappointed. Thanks guys you were ace.”

“As a group of 5 we booked ahead of our stay at Centre Parcs and upon arrival was greeted and severed for the night by Erica who I must say was a great laugh and hospitable. Service it self was quick and efficient, the food was good quality and tasted great. As a group we opted for a couple of the poppadum sharers between us which was more than adequate. The sides it came with were rich and packed full of flavour too. For mains we all got curries with a garlic naan and rice. I also opted for the chilli fries which were fantastic! Portion sizes were perhaps even on the large side but that’s no complaint by any stretch of the imagination. Finishing up with the bill we were given an “after eight” style chocolate with the Indian branding on, a nice touch. Would definitely recommend. By the sounds of things it may be closing down soon so if you are at Centre Parcs get yourself down!”

“Amazing food one of the best Chinese I have had. Order straight from restaurant as apps charge £2.50 before you start. Just a small downside their egg fried rice isn't very eggy. But sweet and sour dishes are amazing and plenty of the pork balls etc. I have never been disappointed with any dish. Except the fried rice. But its OK. You must try this Chinese I don't go anywhere else now.”

“Had a takeaway last night. Food arrived piping hot and was delicious. All 5 of us were happy with our choices of dishes. The Chicken tikka pieces on a naan bread is excellent value and packed with chicken. Will definitely order again.”

“The most underrated takeaway in Retford. Looks a bit ghetto some people might say but food tastes delicious. Food was fresh and nicely cooked. The last chinese takeaway we had a few months ago from a different place in Retford(F) left us very disappointed since it was our favourite place to order from, so we decided to try this one instead for a full meal. So glad we did. We've had the salt&pepper prawns a few times from here before and they're delicious. Will come back again for sure.”

“This is my first time ordering here and noticed it had some very polarised reviews, so I thought I'd chime in. Some of these bad reviews are nonsensical and borderline abusive. Do they have a personal grudge? Anyway, thankfully my experience was all good, and a pleasant surprise in some ways. I used their own online ordering site and found it easy and reassuring to get a text and email straight away confirming the order. No extra fees like with JustEat or Uber Eats. I wish more Chinese takeaways would use this method. The prices were good too, they haven't hiked them up as much as most other Chinese takeaways around here, which have almost priced me out. I ordered beef chow mein (dry), salt & pepper shredded chicken, sweet & sour pork balls, and their 'normal' spring rolls. All the food was perfectly cooked, hot, big portions, and nicely flavoured. I particularly liked the light-handed seasoning as I find other Chinese takeaways put too much salt in, which just makes you feel ill after eating. This place got it just right. There was lots of tender beef in the chow mein. My only problem was the spring rolls were actually just one huge spring roll which had not been drained off for long enough before packing, so it was sitting in a pool of grease (the rest was still crispy). A shame as 20 seconds more would have made all the difference. Half a point off for that but I'll give them 5 anyway as the delivery came in 30 mins rather than the predicted 45, and the delivery driver was friendly and polite. Will order again!”

“If you come here for luxury you’re coming to the wrong place. BUT: It’s a budget hotel with a bar attached next to a bus and train station. The rooms do what they say on the tin and most staff are excellent. The rooms are clean; the bar is good, the TVs work (mostly), the WiFi isn’t the best but name a hotel that has excellent WiFi. There’s good connections to travel and it’s next to the bustling town of Mansfield (you know that excellent town) It is worth noting that some of the clientele aren’t great and if you’re there for 37 days (like I was) it’s a challenge. But the staff made the stay, and the hotel is not at all that bad. In fact for the price and if your expectations are right it will exceed them all. Thank you for a good stay.”
