“Fantastic team. We have a Romanian rescue and he wouldn’t be the dog he is today without the amazing staff at Rose Cottage. And when I thought they couldn’t get any better, I arrived one day with the dog having vomitted on the way to day care - they took his blanket, washed and dried it and returned it to me on collection. 5 stars is not enough. They just go above and beyond.”

“I have an apology to make, I left a negative review, which was left in haste and off the back of frustrations and information that I later discovered were not the fault of Reeds Rains. I must eat humble pie as since speaking with Chloe, on a daily basis has made me realise that I should have dealt with the situation differently. Chloe has been unbelievable, she is supportive, professional and quite frankly amazing! She has updated, chased, and reassured me at every step. Moving house is stressful but she has managed to help me support my elderly mother in getting things done! Please forgive me for my initial rant, lesson learnt for me and some faith in the process. “Just returned from a holiday to Torquay had a lovely 5 days at the Devonshire Hotel .The staff are really friendly with nothing too much trouble, the room was comfortable, clean and warm, and plenty of choice on the menu and the meals are all self service which I prefer. Although the hotel is on a hill the bus stops are right outside the hotel door and across the road .We had Barry excellent driver and a lovely man.”

“Stayed in suite 10 for one night, it was ready early and we were allowed late checkout too. Staff were lovely and really helpful, the rooms were really spacious and clean, lovely terrace too! Bed was really comfortable and massive. Fan provided in the room. Bar and restaurant were lovely and the breakfast was fantastic with a lovely selection. Close to the car boot as literally next door! Don't be put off by the motorway noise as there was none! Will definitely stay again”

“We have just returned from the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and cannot fault the trip, Rob kept us fully informed up to departure and was easy to contact during the trip. We had to change a pick up from the circuit, a quick e-mail to Rob and it was sorted. The transfers were all done by professional drivers in quality vehicles, we had new AUDI Q7's as a shuttle between our hotel and the track, and all the vehicles were driven by Dutch drivers, who were both professional & courteous. Rob also arranged a trip to the Hungarian Grand Prix for us earlier this year, great race and again a faultless trip. I have no problem with recommending Rob and Altitude if you are considering an organised F1 trip, he can tailor it to suit your requirements and budget.”

“We had a lovely stay, our heating wasn’t working but the night porter instantly fetched us a plug in heater. Our room was clean and spacious but the highlight for us was the delicious cooked breakfast which was served to us by Cristina she was absolutely delightful, so cheerful and helpful on both days, we actually looked forward to seeing her the next day. She is an asset to your hotel. She made my children feel so special and has the most infectious smile and demeanour.”

“We loved our stay here! The lady Laura was fantastic as we arrived slightly late as the walk we were on took longer than anticipated, when we rang she told us not to panic and she'd let us in still, and to travel safely which was lovely. The pod was very clean and tidy on arrival, mugs and hot drinks on a little table. The bed was very comfy and there was heating in the pod which made it warm and cosy. I just wished we could have stayed longer here! We will be back!!!”

“We have just returned home from a lovely 2 night stay at Slate House Farm. We loved it. It’s well situated with plenty of pubs and restaurants locally. The pods are clean and have everything you need. A nice touch was the addition of marshmallows so we could toast them in the fire pit. The views are amazing and the owners couldn’t do enough whilst still not being intrusive. We will definitely be coming back”

“We stayed for two nights mid April. The room (Chatsworth room) was lovely, a large room with everything you needed. Bed very comfortable , very clean. The bathroom was excellent, a large shower unit. With a continental breakfast available in the price, and tea ,coffee facilities available 2hrs a day. The hotel is ideally situated for a walk to the town centre, only 2 minutes away. On site parking is a bonus. The restaurant is lovely with fantastic food. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend a stay to anyone.”

“Went for friends 50th.. 23 girls it was FANTASTIC!! SO Many facilities.. pool and jacuzzis brilliant. Loved the building old and quirky.. the dining room was fabulous for big dinner party. Can't believe what you get for your money. We've booked to go again already!”

“Stayed last week for the second time. The first being 2 years ago. Really lovely, very clean and well kept. Nice touches like champagne and chocolates on arrival as well as tea coffee and a lot of kitchen condiments. The spa was an amazing addition too. The house is well away from the road and very quiet.”

“I came here for business reasons and the hotel staff are magnificent, especially the night team comprising of two wonderful gentleman who deserved every poppadom I brought them. The rooms were comfortable and the shower not too bad! The only reason for a subtraction of a star is the silly glass pane that is used to block water from exiting the shower. It’s ineffective and makes the floor slippery. Please install a permanent fixture that extends further along the bathtub side. I’m no expert on showering appliances, but that’s my personal take on it. I loved the free bottles of water with the room, I find that to be such a wonderful feature of any room I stay in! The spa facilities were alright, the woman was very kind on the front desk. The steam room was far too cold to be classed as one, and had a strange odor to it. I won’t subtract stars for this as it’s not technically part of the hotel’s management. The bar staff were kind to me, especially the long-haired young fellow who made sure I got a lovely chicken Cesar salad for lunch! I recommend staying at this hotel. Parking’s free too!”

“We had our wedding in The Sherwood Suite On Friday 28th November We had the most fantastic day. Our coordinator Charlotte made sure every detail was perfect. Before the wedding we sent several emails to Charlotte changing things asking questions and nothing was too much trouble for her. The day went so lovely and smooth from the ceremony to the final evening buffet. All the team was so friendly and professional. All of the food was delicious we had so many good comments from our guests. Also a special mention to the DJ the music was perfect Can definitely recommend Wildes it was certainly a day to remember always Thank you so much Mr & Mrs Elizabeth & John Gash”
