“The King's Head was a great find. The staff were amazing. They were extremely helpful in every aspect. The entertainment was great for New Year. The car park was large enough for people enjoying an evening drink/meal and people staying.”
“We visited The Bridge Inn today, for a celebratory 90th birthday lunch, with our Mum. The restaurant was busy when we arrived and there was a lovely atmosphere. Liv was our waitress and she looked after us really well. In fact, all the staff were friendly and welcoming. The service was excellent, attentive but not overly so. We ordered drinks while we looked at the menu, which was quite varied and well laid out. We chose our mains and we didn’t have to wait very long before the food was served, nice and hot. A couple of us had the steak and ale pie, which was delicious! Two others had chicken dishes, which were very tasty too, and one of us had the special venison burger, which was amazing! Deserts followed, including sticky toffee pudding, chocolate brownies, and apple tart, all of which were absolutely delicious. James was our chef today, and we got to chat with him, briefly, after our meals. The prices were very reasonable indeed, and the service charge wasn’t added automatically, like many restaurants, but we didn’t hesitate to add our own cash tip, as the whole experience was just perfect. Definitely a birthday lunch to remember, and I’d highly recommend a visit to The Bridge Inn, at Shawford.”
“We did not eat food here as we had already eaten lunch. We just stopped for a drink and to appreciate the atmosphere. The food looked really good and there were many appreciative customers”
“This is my 1st time visiting The White Horse. The food was absolutely beautiful and the cocktail I had was delicious. The staff were all very friendly, polite and very helpful. Megan our waitress was lovely, making sure we had everything we needed for our lunch. We sat and ate at the back of the bar, its was lovely sitting on the window seats. It was lovely and quiet, and peaceful. The best way to enjoy lunch.”
“Cracking find between an alleyway off the High Street or a road running beside the side of the Cathedral good range of drinks plenty of outdoor seating in the alley. Amazing prices.”
“A lovely little pub with a nice garden, friendly to dogs and children. Pick your visiting times carefully: Monday to Friday lunchtime food. Evenings: the pub stays open until they run out of customers - usually by 9 pm.”
“We were visit Winchester overnight and spotted the Anchor and Crown across the road. We popped on and had a delightful meal which was fully homecooked and delicious. Service was wonderful, the staff are so friendly and up for a chat. Throughly enjoyed our meal and time there.”
“First time here and I have to say, very impressed. Clean , well presented, plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Every member of staff appeared to actually want to be working on a Sunday. The service and food was fantastic and exceptionally well priced. Thank you all so much for a great experience. We will be back.”
“Took my elderly Uncle and friends to have lunch. The staff were ready with a ramp for his mobility scooter and were attentive throughout our visit. The roast beef was delicious and pudding to die for. Compared to London prices (where I live) this was a very reasonably priced visit. Go give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!”
“Had my daughter's wedding reception here yesterday Martin and the team did us proud had an amazing time thank you so much”

“Had a very enjoyable meal for Mothers Day. My Mum's seafood platter looked incredible. The waitress was very helpful and informative, especially in regard to my Mother-in-Law's gluten allergy. We had a very cozy table tucked away from the main restaurant. A very nice night all round.”
“Me and some mates went in after work and the Bar staff ( gin and Charlie ) where very friendly. The pub is very clean and overall great atmosphere. We Only came in for a glass of wine ended up having two bottles. Lol”

“We popped into this Costa this morning for coffee and some food, and found ourselves in the middle of a medical emergency with one of the other customers. The staff were extremely helpful and copied amazingly well in the situation. Well done to you all and thanks for our coffees. Best regards Nick.”

“Myself & my family visit this pub regularly and it doesn’t ever disappoint. We are a family of 4 and always feel warmly welcomed and enjoy spending time here. The staff are all very welcoming and attentive and always trying their best to please the customer. It’s a wonderful, family run pub and we will continue to support them for a long time yet. Thank you so much to everyone at The Fox & Hounds who always make our visits a real pleasure. Highly recommend.”
“I recently came in for a festive meal with my work colleagues. It was a perfect experience from start to finish. Greeted on our way with a huge smile from Erin was a great welcoming. The food was superb, the staff were superb and the whole thing was so welcoming and pleasant. Thank you to Erin and Anna for making us feel so welcome. Will definitely be back next year!”
“This is my favourite coffee shop. The staff are always super friendly, chatty, helpful and make your order just right, even with annoying adjustment requests (hot chocolate not too hot, boba bubble drink with no boba bubbles). It’s also easy to access with disabled or regular parking. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Karen and Lily are lovely people and are often the highlight of my day out doing errands and getting a drink or snack in between . Thank you!”
“Had a really good roast dinner at the Melvern, had the duo combo Roast, was spot on not over cooked with the meat, veg was not crunchy but cooked perfectly, Roast potato were spot on, really impressed with the Roast and service was good good, if you want too find a pub with good Sunday Roast Dinner highly recommended The Malvern Tavern.”
“We had a lovely stay at the hotel. Staff were very friendly, check in was quick and easy. Room was normal - we had 2 pop up beds for the kids. Only negative comment is the mattress was too firm for us. Breakfast was lovely in the morning. Location was 15minutes away from Paultons park.”
“Recommended by a friend to visit was totally surprised by the whole place good choice of food had the sausage panini thinking we were having a snack turned out to be a whole lunch treat exalant value for the price. Will be going again .”
“Food and breakfast are good and they have a lot of options for me. White and brown bread, jam croissants (not the best), scrambled eggs, eggs, all the other stuff of the traditional English breakfast. Shame that espresso it’s an extra but illy coffee so it’s very good”
“The Coffee Corner at Marwell Zoo is a cozy spot for a quick break during your visit. It offers a variety of hot drinks, including good quality coffee and tea, along with light snacks like pastries and sandwiches. The seating area is comfortable, and it's a nice place to relax while taking in views of the zoo. Service is friendly, though it can get a bit busy during peak times. Overall, it's a convenient and pleasant stop for a refreshment during your zoo trip.”
“A little small and no tables out front, but otherwise has everthing one wants from a Starb - nice service, free wifi and a toilet hah. Nuff said”
