“Lovely walk along the river on tarmac paths so suitable for disabled or reduced mobility. Excellent for joggers and walkers alike. Lots of open green spaces for children and dogs. Usually an ice cream van or two around as well. Very popular so parking can be an issue at busy times.”

“The delivery driver Ben could not get to my house because of emergency gas works and road closures so I spoke to Adrian (both from Depot 5 at Chandlers Ford) and between them they managed to arrange for me to meet Ben on a different drop and get my parcel on the same day. This meant I didn’t have to drive miles to the depot the next day. Adrian was fantastic on the phone and kept me updated as well as being courteous, polite and extremely helpful. Ben was so apologetic for not being able to get to my house (which was completely beyond his control) and was also kind, courteous and extremely helpful. “Still my favourite restaurant around. Super service and scrummy food just how I remembered. Returned after 3.5 years away and was greeted as we walked in the door by staff. Lovely to see an open fire lit for lunch service. Cosy and welcoming. Food was just how I remembered, fresh and flavourful. Abbie and team were very attentive. Loved it and won’t leave it so long next time!”

“Went to the Bell Inn today for an afternoon tea. Arrived early but the staff were very obliging and seated us 30 mins before the afternoon tea started. I’d asked in advance whether my sister in law could have plain cheese and ham sandwiches as she doesn’t like any salads, pickles etc. Her sandwiches were perfect. Along with mine, the cakes were delicious as were the scones, lashings of clotted cream, yummy. Would definitely recommend the afternoon tea as The Bell Inn.”

“Just been here to kill some time whilst my car was been serviced, I’m not from the area so I wandered in with a gym bag. I was pleasantly surprised by the facilities for a modest sized gym. All new stuff and in a nice room. The reason for the review is the staff. I was clearly a guy wandering through, but I was helped with a padlock (I didn’t bring) and shown around. I use a lot of different gyms when I travel around, this is a nice little gem. Thank you to Brad, who help me get sorted. My car is ready earlier than I expected, so I’m just dropping a quick review. The meat on top of it is very tasty too. While the other dish (97) is ok, not the best not the worst, a very British style Chinese food.”

“Great food and service with a 2 for £30 deal. There was a good choice with steak, burgers and other options. We were told clearly what was in the deal and served quickly. The drinks came quickly and the food took around 20 minutes to arrive. We had starters and main courses and all was cooked perfectly. The portions were filling and I'd never tasted such tender rump steak. Not at all fatty. The surf and turf burger with the King Prawns and proper grilled beef burger was also full of flavour. I wish there was a Beefeater like this nearer to where we usually live.”
