“Very atmospheric place, very traditional old Shrewsbury, loved the gorgeous leaded windows, the old stone work etc. We were well looked after by Ash who went 'above and beyond', (thank you), lovely chap. He looked after 12 of us extremely well.... I was a bit surprised it was just Ash' on his own. Nothing was too much troubke. Management need to pay him more. I thought the background music was lovely, plus lovely NOT to get the cheesy Christmas music. PS Excellent liaison pre-event with Tamara by email. THANK YOU. (There were12 of us in the party).”

“Nice quiet.train station pub with a grest selection of Titanic beer. Try a Grand Reserve Plumb Porter, one of the best drinks frim Titanic. It closes early at 7pm but a great place to wait while the rush hour traffic dies down.”

“We stopped here for a few drinks on a Friday evening. The bar staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. There is a good variety of drinks to choose from. We went for a large sauvignon blanc which came out of a very large decanter, and was delicious. I had a double spiced rum and ginger beer, and it's worth noting the shots are 35ml so 70ml for a double, which I wasn't complaining about! Prices were very fair for the drinks, I think it was around £15 for the 2 drinks. The bar had a great atmosphere for a Friday evening, well worth coming here!”

“We had a wonderful visit to the Botanist and will definitely be returning. We were in Knutsford to take our Beagle, Copper, to Tatton Park and was looking for somewhere dog friendly to get some lunch after. We'd been to a different restaurant on the high street before but on Sundays they had very limited menus whereas The Botanist had a main menu running alongside their Sunday Lunch menu which gave a lot of choice and was a big plus for us. On arrival the staff were fabulous with our dog, giving him fusses and treats and we were really accommodating putting us out of the way. The drinks menu is really extensive, even the alcohol free selection which was a bonus. We had a Sunday roast and a hanging kebab and can recommend both, Copper also enjoyed the veggies! Highly recommended, for dog owners and non- dog owners alike”

“Went today 1/10/25 for carvery lunch. Not been the Plough for a couple of years. The bar staff friendly. The carvery selection was excellent and nice and hot. Also I noticed the server of carvery was checking the meats with a thermometer and writing it down. The waitress Emma was very friendly. We will recommend the Plough and most certainly be returning again.”

“Visited for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. The menu is diverse and the food is excellent. Service was mixed - one of the waitresses was good but the other wasn’t great (ignored us at the bar etc). But overall a good experience and we’d definitely return!”

“I organised a baby shower at Granville’s for my sister-in-law and it was perfect. The staff were so accommodating, allowing us to come early to set up the room, help tidy up and even cut/share the cake. The girl who served us was super friendly, helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. If you’re planning a special occasion or event, Granville’s is the place for it. I 100% recommend it to anyone. We all also had afternoon teas which were delicious and very well presented. Again, they were so accommodating, especially for those people in our group who were vegetarian and needed gluten free options. Thank you for making it a day my sister-in-law can remember forever!”
