“We came for the 12 wines of Christmas on Saturday and had a great time! Rachel who ran the event was knowledgeable and friendly plus the drinks were obviously great! If it hadn’t cost us as much as the event in taxi fees we would be there regularly! Can’t wait to visit the pub in Audlem next given it’s much closer!”
“We stayed at the Lamb Guest Inn as part of a wedding party. It was my husband, one year old daughter, and I. The hosts were more than genuine and accommodating. They went out of their way to make sure we not only had everything us adults needed, but our daughter as well. They provided a pack n’ play for her to sleep in, a high chair at breakfast, and even provided special lacto free milk for her. Everything was clean and immaculate. The breakfast was homemade to order. Some of the best food we had during our whole stay in London. The location is an easy, safe walk to all the downtown bars, restaurants, supermarket, etc. It honestly felt like we were at my grandparents house the way they took care of us. I would definitely highly recommend and look forward to hopefully staying here again.”
“Awesome local music venue. First time visit, definitely be back.”
“A fantastic, regularly updated menu of monster sandwiches and other good stuff, all served by friendly staff in a relaxed atmosphere. The Supergreek salad is top banana. Even the tea is a cut above the rest. My favourite spot for dinner in Stoke-on-Trent.”
“It was our first visit there ,was a lovely experience. When asked we were told the best drink to have ,will definitely go again”
“Food always freshly prepared and delicious. Visited today for my wife's birthday. Ordered 4 different mains for our party each of which were tasty, fresh and piping hot. Recommend booking as this place is (deservedly) always busy.”
“The Horseshoe in Astbury is an absolute gem! The food is nothing short of amazing – beautifully cooked, full of flavor, and presented with care. Whether you're enjoying a hearty meal or a lighter option, the quality truly stands out. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a charming rustic vibe that makes it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, always ensuring that you feel welcomed and well looked after. It's the ideal place for any occasion, whether you're dining with family, meeting friends, or just looking for a cozy escape with great food. Highly recommended!”
“What a splendid pub with delicious beer…who could ask for more ? Friendly, helpful staff, great atmosphere. Thoroughly recommended !!”
“Really enjoyed our meal at The Queens. There is a good selection of hearty food and deserts. Service was excellent. I loved the Beef and Merlot Pie and my wife really enjoyed the Chicken Leonardo Pasta. The portions are generous so bring an appetite. If we ever come back to the area this will be high on our list of places to revisit.”
“Popped in for a quick drink with a friend. Lovely place, very cozy! Sadly didn't eat there, but looking forward to returning when I'm next in the area.”
“Working in the area needed to use the facilities so I stopped by, staff were super friendly, didn’t expect it to be so warm of an environment and the food looked lovely as I walked through, will definitely be stopping off to eat here when I’m off the clock one weekend”
“We had a group meal here following a hike, very welcoming atmosphere. Roaring fire. Food was served on hot plates and was delicious. Staff were efficient and friendly.”
“As they say a sweet shop for grown ups. Excellent selection and choice of drinks, outstanding service. Ever changing line both behind the bar, on the shelves and in the chillers. Great place to hunt down some hard to find beers, particularly for Lambic and Sour connoisseurs.”
“Lovely lunch with very gentle, friendly and relaxed but efficient service. Full of flavour, fabulous quality ingredients, and extremely pretty presentation.”
“Start from the location just next to train station and in the heart of this beautiful town. The second thing which make this place highlighted is amazing selection of craft beers from IPA to stout & sour. Third is awesome atmosphere which I really like. Good vibes and friendly approachable people in the bar. Specially I like the wall full of colour beer pump clips. Service was good and the prices were very pocket friendly. Hope after all these points I recommend it. Worth to visit”
“Whenever we are visiting from Scotland, we make a beeline for this bar. It is very warm and welcoming, the beer is good and we just love it!”
“A real gem of a pub. Had the fortune to be in here when the landlord Steve was able to give the customers a quick history of the pub and his grandmother who ran it for 40 years until she was 80. His rejuvenation of the building is astounding. The attention to detail and historic sympathetic refurbishment is a real nod to the past.”
“Superb and imaginative food, the service was outstanding. Definitely worth a visit as the taste sensation excelled our expectations.”
“Lovely friendly local pub. Great prices and good range of well kept beers. Impressive gine selection too. Very good pork pies and rolls available at the bar.”
“A great pub. Great food and drink. Landlord is a gentleman and his wife a fantastic cook. I always have the gammon washed down with a few beers. Menu is varied, TVs not too intrusive and a good selection of drinks including the local gin. Take plenty of cash as they do not take cards. (they now take cards, still a fantastic pub:) I would travel to visit this pub but am lucky enough to live 2 mins away!”
“We found the Masons Arms whilst looking for a venue that catered for Gluten Free. All I can say is WOW…….. What attention to detail. Fabulous food, great service and attention to detail. Gave us confidence as a family that they know how to cater for specific dietary needs. We had a wonderful Sunday lunch. So much choice and will definitely be back.”
“The crisps were wonderful. But the service and atmosphere are infinitely better. There is something extra about 'The Union', or BENKS, as it was always known as to the discerning drinkers of Leek and beyond. Yes. I am old enough to remember those halcyon days! With the jukebox in the red room playing all things rock, from Alice Cooper to Zeppelin (of the Led variety) and on to Dean Martin singing 'Little Old Wine Drinking Me' - a classic singalong end to each and every glorious night in Benks! Join us now for a seriously well kept pint of ale, a game of darts, an 8 ball in the top pocket or just a friendly chat, whilst listening to live music.”

“Lovely little boozer. Absolutely what a pub should be. Decent price for a pint and busy due to that.”
“Well maintained tables, staff and patrons very welcoming, great value for money from bar to table tariffs. All the big sports events on big screens and excellent jukebox with downloadable content should you not find the music your looking for. The skill levels of the players is wide spread so I'm sure you will find a suitable challenger or tournament that will suit your skill level”
“My wife had a prawn cocktail starter, which was full of prawns. The sauce was very good, brown bread & butter. I had the Spanish meat platter, which was lovely. Mains were fish & chips, ham chips, fried eggs, old school. Service was 1st class.”
“Stopped in here after a trip to the local Blaze farm with our toddler. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the place was very modern and clean. The food menu was very good with lots of choice. I had a steak and red wine pie and it was delicious, my wife had a fish and chips without fault and our son had a burger and chips. They gave him the option for beans or peas and as he couldn’t decide gave him both at no extra charge which was a nice touch. Not expensive for the quality, service and setting. Highly recommend if you are in the area.”
“Family meal for my wife's Birthday and our 25 wedding anniversary. Excellent food and very friendly staff. Definitely be going again soon”
“Such a great spot! Right in the middle of wedgewood, and it has such a cool vibe. The drinks are awesome—so many good options, very affordable, especially their own branded drinks. The staff were super nice too, which just made the whole experience even better. Bar has also got a nice design around, with plenty of tables with comfortable chairs. Definitely worth a visit if you’re around!”
