“Burns Night event with a Rod Stewart DJ and performer. The food and entertainment was fantastic. This place knows how to put on an event to create funds for the club. The rugby is also great and if you have little ones who want to play a sport, this a fabulous place where they grow as a team and make forever friends.”

As with many people suffering physical and mental health disabilities my application for PIP was turned down and the mandatory reconsideration agreed with the original decision maker. My friends, family and colleagues suggested taking my claim to tribunal and when I received the 'bundle' of over 200 pages and lots of legal jargon in an intimidating cover letter, I knew I needed help. This bundle arrived with just under a month until the tribunal hearing. I had been advised to contact Disability Solutions by a therapist I am working with. It was the best advice I received! David was quick in responding to my initial enquiry and all subsequent emails with additions to my 'bundle'. Alice was a fantastic specialist who examined the legal aspects of my appeal paperwork and wrote some notes on things I could raise or questions I might need to answer. Although Alice was unable to attend with me due to a prior booking, her words and a detailed discussion with her helped greatly. I succeeded thanks to their help to meet the criteria for PIP daily living. I am so grateful for their support and friendliness from my initial email enquiry and my visits to the office and wish they could all be recognised for their efforts. Thank you.”

“Wonderful, wonderful bar. The DJ is out of this world!! Me and a couple of pals had dinner and drinks here on a Saturday night. I didn’t realise the place turns into a full blown nighty C after dark. Food was amazing, service too. But, the DJ was something else! Got chatting with the DJ who names himself ‘Joey the Axe’ (I think). He was brilliant. Read the room with his music, and was very very friendly. Played all of our requests without issue and made the night very special. Even gave me a lift home and walked me to my door!! I’ll never forget you Joey the Axe.”

“Here for a course for 2 nights just 2 miles away from here, so for me the location was excellent and also quiet for me to relax and study. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food in the pub is excellent, dare I say some of the best pub food I have ever had. Rooms are very comfortable and relaxing with some lovely extra touches. Excellent beer garden and choice of beers. Really impressed and would love to come back.”

“Great place. Customer service is fantastic. The owner, Abbi, will give you great advice on what dish to choose and it's clear that the quality of the food is most important to him. He did not disappoint. We had 2 fabulous meals and all of it was mouth watering. Great chicken, great flavour, particularly liked the thickness of the sauce which made Naan dipping really tasty. Even the poppadoms were light and fresh - I do like a good poppadom!”

“Great food, buzzy atmosphere, very convenient as everyone in the group can easily choose what cuisine they fancy. The inside can get a little noisy especially at busy times like Friday evenings, but the outdoor yard is also lovely and they have heaters. Can definitely recommend sitting outside if you prefer it a little quieter.”

“What a gem of a local pub! Second time we have been here now and it has never failed to falter. The staff are amazing and so helpful and accommodating. Regulars in the the bar area are friendly and chatty. And the food is to die for. If its not on the menu, they will try to find it for you anyway. This is the only place we will eat now in Wem. “Can’t fault Accolade at all. The guy who came out to look at what we wanted doing was friendly and helpful. More than happy with the price quoted. Less than we expected to be fair given the work that we wanted doing. Very happy with the finished result and would not hesitate to use this company again. The fitting has been excellently done by two brothers who I also highly recommend.”
