It's been busy with no drama everytime I've been! Loads of offers on drinks that are reasonably priced. Overall, a very well ran pub!”

“All staff were friendly. They involved my daughter in the process so when she has her first eye test she’ll be less nervous. They helped me pick glasses when I was struggling to decide and I was even able to see the same girl when I came to collect my glasses and have them fitting. She was lovely.”

“We've just spent 5 nights in the Byley suite at this lovely hotel. I can't fault it in any way. It's very clean and comfortable. The staff are all friendly and attentive. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. The grounds and outside spaces are attractive and well maintained and there's plenty of parking available.”

“I have recently viewed a property with property manager Claire on 25.09.2025 and again on 29.05.2025. Interacting with her was very good as she was very polite and helpful. I viewed the same property twice and she was really helpful by arranging it without any hesitation. Actually, she offered me the second viewing without any hesitation. I dealt mostly with George who was very approachable, professional and helpful in steering me through the process of selling and completing on my late Mum's house. They dealt with all the viewings and kept me fully informed of any feedback and offers made. All other staff I spoke to were equally helpful. “I had a scan recently with Dr Kahkashan and Dr Kingsley, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Both doctors were incredibly professional, kind, and reassuring throughout the entire appointment. Dr Kahkashan made me feel completely at ease from the moment I walked in, her calm and friendly approach instantly settled my nerves. Dr Kingsley was equally wonderful, explaining everything clearly and making sure I understood what was happening at each stage. Their teamwork, patience, and compassion made a potentially stressful appointment feel safe and supportive. I’m truly grateful to have been under their care, they are a credit to their profession. “Fine dining is reflected with the chefs passion for ingredients and fresh produce. The two chefs are always competing to make each dish better every time. I recommend the scallops starter, as an example where each chef has tweaked the dish to get higher and higher praise each time it's served. Service is impeccable, which is what you would expect from a Maitre d'hotel from the armed forces, serving in the officer's mess. I can't recommend this restaurant enough, as today we live in a world of pub grub and a decline in fine dining experiences which should make you feel that you have had "a special meal"”

“This was my second visit to the cafe and I would still come back again. Staffs are polite , food were delicious and cafe is clean as I can see staffs have been cleaning tables after customers left the cafe.”

“Our first visit here a czhange of location to meet with family, i read some reviews and was happy to change locations. We ordered 6 different meals, we did wait about 40 mins for service to arrive, a bit longer than I would have expected however we weren't disappointed the food arrived hot and was delicious. " i would recomend the pie " but in fairness all my family did enjoyed their choices, the staff were attentive throughout which was pleasing . I asked my family of their thoughts and it was thumbs up to return on our next get together.”

“Ponda's is not local to us but we would not hesitate to use them again as all the staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable in fulfilling a prescription we were unsuccessful in obtaining in our immediate area despite contacting multiple chemist's and online pharmacy's. Ponda's delivered a 5 star experience from our initial phone call to collection of the medication the following morning. Our total gratitude.”

Bingo Sunday afternoon 8 games. £1 per ticket and a jackpot for members holding their membership cards with the correct coloured club sticker.”

The bar staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, engaging in delightful conversation that added a personal touch to our visit. The food was excellent – we tried the sharing platters and were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions and great value. The pub’s Christmas decorations were beautifully done, creating a warm and festive atmosphere that made our experience even more enjoyable. This is easily one of the best Greene King locations we’ve visited locally, and we’ll definitely be returning!”
