“Stopped for a meal and a quick pint when passing through. Was extremely busy there were enough staff to ensure nobody is left waiting. Staff were all extremely pleasant and welcoming. I really enjoyed the food. A deveng variety. J went with my partner and kids - all are fussy eaters but there was something for everyone. Prices of meals varied between around 15 and 18 quid, steak a bit more. Really good value for money with the quality and size of the meals provided”
“Food is amazing, atmosphere is awesome, amazing customer service and excellent value. I'd highly recommend”
“Beautiful country pub! We had a family dinner here, 15 of us across 4 generations, and it was excellent for all of us! The staff were attentive, despite it being a busy Sunday afternoon, with lots of other groups in too. What a beautiful, atmospheric place! Welcoming, clean, accessible, and busy - we'll definitely be back again soon.”
“We had not been here for 15 years and still the best Chinese we have ever been too. The menu has changed slightly. They seem to have reduced what's on there and no more prawns available on the start out of any form which is disappointing but the quality of all the food was fantastic and what they have got on there they have really nailed. What was really nice is there was no arguing about wanting more. I think some of us ate four cheesecakes each which sounds excessive, but it was the best cheesecake I've ever had and I'm not even that big a fan of cheesecake. They were really good with the kids, especially the two that wouldn't have anything off the menu. Jane was very friendly, although all the waiters and waitresses were fantastic. Only negative is we did end up having to be asked to leave so they could get the next table in which when it's £30 ahead each can feel rushed although he had been there for at least 2 hours so I do understand from their perspective. Either way I would highly recommend!”
“Lovely place, really cosy and great set up, tiered menu with a 3 dish set price based on what tier the dishes were in. This meant you could have a smaller amount of 3 things to rather than choosing 1 dish - great for the indecisive like me!! All 3 dishes were delicious, and I even took some home so small doesn't mean that small. Will absolutely be back, there's another 30 dishes I need to try!!”
“Tom was really lovely, friendly and attentive - always kept checking on us to make sure we didn’t need anything else. Food was pretty good, not much cheese on the garlic bread but not fuming about it or anything & pasta was lovely.”
“I had a great experience at Pepe’s in Crewe. The restaurant was clean, well-organized, and the food was fresh and served hot. Abdul provided excellent service — he was polite, attentive, and went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. His friendly attitude and genuine care made my visit even better.”
“Perfect service, nice menu, good price, friendly, dogs friendly... Parking”
“This restaurant is an excellent choice for a formal dinner with family or friends. The customer service was outstanding, and the food was absolutely delicious. A special mention goes to Krishna, whose exceptional service truly elevated our experience. I highly recommend visiting this place if you’re in the area even if it’s your first time, it’s well worth a try.”
“Loved this place. Reasonably priced buffet Indian food. Soft drinks included. No alcohol licence but you can bring your own booze. Friendly staff. Will definitely visit again.”
“Friendliest staff ever! So many laughs with Pauline! What a legend! Such good food! Clean and fresh rooms! What a great place to drop in to for a night and be treated so well!”
“Good town centre pub with local atmosphere, good beer although selection can be a bit narrow. Very good place to stop for a pint when the Mrs is shopping”
“The outside area is a good place on a sunny day.”
“We had a lovely evening celebrating an anniversary. We were served by T who was engaging and attentive! Couldn’t have asked for a better meal out for a special occasion! Food was brilliant, drinks lovely and the extra touches don’t go unnoticed!”
“One of my absolute most favourite restaurants, come here everytime I'm in Buxton. The food is always amazing and the staff are wonderful and attentive. Would strongly recommend.”
“I highly recommend this Restaurant! We tried Pizza, Buger and a Dessert. Everything was very delicious. The Pizza dough was a Highlight. The staff ist very nice and courteous.”
“Visited for a family birthday. Food was lovely, couldn't fault it. Staff were friendly and we had no issues with the service. We look forward to either returning to eat in or to take away.”
“Absolutely delightful eatery, food was scrummy and staff couldn’t do enough for us. Made me have an epiphany on the drive back home so would definitely recommend”
“I recently just moved to Crewe and have been meaning to try different fish and chips and came across this shop as it was closer of a walk than the ones in town. I think I came around their busiest time because there was a queue and they ran out of haddock. I ended up getting the large cod and chips as well as the mushy peas. The large cod was definitely a large (I could’ve opted for the mini portion) and they a generous amount of chips on the side as well. I enjoyed the fish and chips. They were both tasty considering I still had to walk back to my place to eat them. The fish itself was seasoned well even with just salt and vinegar. I surprisingly enjoyed the mushy peas (I asked for coleslaw initially which they do not carry). I can see why there’s a queue at night as it was delicious. I hope I get to try their haddock next time!”
“Returned to CW2 after a while and ate with a friend. Boy, it was so good! I had the monthly special - Wal-Nut case, walnut, pear and rocqufort cheese - it worked so well! My friend had the Chicago smash (see pics) whilst we had parmesan truffle fries and onion rings. So fresh, so good. Will not be waiting so long again before returning.”
“What a brilliant hidden gem with a fantastic menu and lovely team. It was quiet when we went but booking is advised as it gets busy especially in the summer with the canal boats. Will be back again”
“From the warmest of Italian welcomes to the most amazing food. Wow simply wow and the service was outstanding We will be back for sure Thank you for a lovely evening with you”
“Casa Mia has become our go-to Italian, and for good reason. We’ve ended up here more than once after being unable to eat elsewhere, and Casa Mia always accommodates my partner’s gluten allergy properly. This is a genuine medical requirement, not a preference, and they take it seriously without fuss or attitude — exactly how it should be. The food is great, excellent value for money, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. They’re also very good with children, which makes a big difference for us. After trying other places and being let down, we now don’t bother — we just come straight to Casa Mia. Reliable, accommodating, and genuinely personable. Highly recommended.”
“Enjoyed a fabulously tasty The Original Gangster burger yesterday evening - the fries the burger is served with are so tasty too! Great cocktails, fab food and great service! What more could you want?”
“Nice quirky place to have a drink and something to eat. The place itself was clean and presented well. Staff were friendly and polite and made you feel welcome.”
“First time ordering here. Absolutely unreal. Huge portions of amazing tasting food. Won't be going anywhere else. Staff seemed friendly. Couldn't ask for more”
“Lovely cafe with great food and friendly people running it. Nice little area to sit outside and pretend you’re in Paris. Can take the dog which is great. Charcuterie board is so good and onion soup was amazing - better than I could have expected! There were gluten free options on the menu and in the fresh cakes too.”
“Been meaning to write a review for ages... this place is stunning and so are the owners, staff and food. Sophia and the team have an incredible job as custodians of such a beautiful and historic building and throughout lockdown they have shown strength and resilience beyond measure to keep it open and thriving. It was the only place we had takeaway from during lockdown, I think it was about 8 times in the end- amazing fish and chips. We were delighted to be able to eat in properly and each time the food and service has been perfect The menu is exquisite, wonderful fusions of flavours and presented like a piece of art! The 7 course tasting menu that should have been our NYE celebration, took place in May after lockdown and it was stunning and a much needed very special treat for my husband and I. I want to get there at lunchtime and enjoy the beautiful garden before the end of the summer!”
“The most perfect wedding venue. From the outset of booking this venue Jose was there guiding us through everything we needed to know - not just about the venue, but advice on photographers and the actual ceremony expectations. The venue and grounds are simply stunning, you’d have never known we were so close to Stone centre! We were very lucky to get married outside and it was breathtaking, our wedding breakfast took place upstairs and it had its rustic charm with the beams and wheel, again, with lots of our guest commenting how lovely it was to see the character of the building. The food was unreal, one of the biggest compliments post wedding we got was about how amazing the food was especially the paella! Jose, his sister and all his family & workers that help run The Mill truly make it the wonderful, stress free and magical place to get married. I cannot recommend this place enough!”
“We came for the Sunday lunch carvery, generous portions, home cooked and really good. The pub is a ‘proper’ pub , cosy and welcoming will come again .”
