“We come here regularly for an evening walk and to get my little lad out the house. It's got two lovely lakes to walk around and a great park. Multiple climbing frames, slides and it even has an accessible see-saw for wheelchair users. Parking is cheap.”

Parveen is such a amazing lady this is the only place me and my husband have curry even if we don't come to Thornbury Hall to eat in we will pick up and this is also a good place to buy Christmas or birthday vouchers from for people who love a special curry or just food in general wouldn't go any we're else I would definitely recommend Thornbury Hall good choice of food something for everyone”

“Needed hotel as visiting family near by, this was in an excellent location. Alsager is a lovely town, we visited a lovely bakers and had a lovely lunch. Also pubs and couple of restaurants nearby for evening meals. If you like national trust, there's a quaint place called Little Morton Hall worth a visit. The hotel was run by lovely people, and the breakfast can't be faulted. We will definitely stay there again”

“ABSOLUTELY loved my time here. I came on the hottest day of the year, and thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was hot,the birds were hot, Laura (my guide) was hot - but it was one of the best experiences I've yet to partake in. So much so that I would like to continue in Falconry Training. Laura was so knowledgeable and took the time to answer my questions. She was so informative, and just wanted me to have the best time. I was allowed to feed the birds, go into their enclosures, hold a few, fly Bella (the picture shows Bella and I after a flying session)! Laura was a great guide - couldn't recommend her enough. Gareth was also about and got involved and shared his immense knowledge and expertise. Both are so down-to-earth, love the birds dearly, and want you as a client to get stuck in!! I went for the half day experience, and my god, Laura crammed so much in and I am so grateful. I am so thankful for this INCREDIBLE experience. Highly recommend, without a doubt. Mel was fantastic at booking me in, and so quick and prompt at replying to my emails. It was a breeze to sort everything out. Thank you all!!”

Deb took her time in making sure I was warm enough and comfortable before she began. I never once felt uncomfortable or awkward, just relaxed. “The accomodation was excellent. We had a converted outbuilding to ourselves with a choice of bedrooms, a small kitchen, lounge and conservatory. A friendly welcome from Eileen together with a couple of generous slices of cake was a perfect start to the stay at the farm. There was plenty of toiletries, tea, coffee, milk etc and the kitchen was well appointed with immaculate and modern appliances. The owners have got a Labrador puppy named Harper who was absolutely adorable. We would have loved to stay longer and will definitely return to this idyllic and peaceful location with stunning views of the countryside. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in the area. We ended up having a curry in a restaurant called "New royal balti" in Audley which was superb. Being non licensed we took a bottle of wine there from the Tesco store a few doors away.”

“Great place to stop with the caravan just round the corner from the theme park shower and toilet block was clean washing up facilities great, we parked on the grass and tou need plenty level blocks etc to get set up but we had a lovely spot , staff very friendly and easy to deal with, kids loved the park !lovely field up the top for dog walking”

“Lovely hidden gem of woodland which is much larger than it appears! Popular with dog walkers and runners, there's plenty of space for everyone. Lots of space to explore with the kids.”

“Fantastic powered rollercoaster! The runaway mine train is easily my second favourite powered rollercoaster in the UK behind Buffalo Stampede at Twin lakes, this ride is dead fast, 3 helixes, airtime and you also go past the Congo river rapids, I went on this when I was nearly 10 years old, great childhood rollercoaster”

“I come here everyday to walk my girls. Besides it being muddy (what do you expect) it's a fantastic place to go.”

“A wonderful mixed woodland near to Oakamoor and between Cgeadke and Alton Towers. The site us owned and managed by the National Trust, access is free with plenty of parking at a layby, or in a small dedicated car park about further along the road from Cheadle. A variety of wildlife is on offer if you're lucky enough to see it and walking is medium difficulty with one or two trickier sections dotted about. Rarely more than a handful of people here.”

“Had a takeaway tonight 17.30 a young boy took my order so polite. Such a nice atmosphere staff friendly and the food was so tasty fresh chips. I ordered pudding chips peas gravy came just the way I liked it and there was plenty.”

“I really like this store as it has everything that you would ever need to use in a kitchen, they have some really different gadgets to buy. The knives they sell are really good, not cheap but well worth the money as you'll never have to buy any again. Their pans are also excellent & will last you a lifetime. It's just a great shop to mooch around in, one of my favourites.”

“I think since we moved here we are very impressed with the range and prices I have read a review that had me in stitches a lady saying staff were hitting her and told her to get out because she took a paper down I can not see any shop attacking a customer I'm sure if this did happen there would be police and witnesses... laughable...staff are lovely friendly and helpful not many places left where you find staff smiling and being helpful”

“I had expected much less considering it’s just a sea life within a theme park but it’s actually quite dense! Lots of fun, and a nice break from the rollercoasters.”

Despite my late arrival, I was made to feel welcomed and the attention and knowledge given by the staff to ensure that I could learn more about the steam machines and how they operated and still do was appreciated.”

“Some of the best food I have tried in a while - something about these cash only, lack of 'Instagrammable ' decor , olden school restaurants are amazing. The prices are really good especially platters in terms of portion size, the meat is all freshly cooked as is the rice and curries. I would definitely recommend.”

I had the most amazing sleep in my kids wake up in the morning. First thing they said it was this beds are amazing hah the service was 100%. Food was amazing The stuff was great. “Perfect little pub. Such a big range of gins and ales. And i have never seen people in a pub look so cosy while watching football. The lady behind the bar was so lovely and super helpful and made us feel right at home. Dogs are welcome and free pool! Can't wait to come back soon.”

“We shop quite often at ProCook (closer to home) yes it's expensive stuff but it lasts! Needed some bits today so we stopped in and picked them up, could have got it cheaper else where but I know this stuff will last me!”
