“Been to see The Alarm & Big Country great venue..Plenty of parking space, relatively easy get a beer, and good toilets. All in all a cracking night”
“Warmly welcomed on entering, able to choose where we sat, which is always nice. Cosy country pub feel with a roaring fire. Food was of a good standard and well presented. The selection of bees and wines was very good, having Kopperburg crisp apple on draughty, was a first for me. The view from the garden is spectacular, and we will definitely make it one of our summer destinations.”

“The Crossways Pub in Newcastle-under-Lyme is a charming local establishment that captures the essence of a traditional British pub. With its warm, inviting atmosphere and friendly staff, it quickly makes visitors feel at home. The pub offers a good selection of ales, beers, and spirits, catering to a variety of tastes. The food menu, featuring classic pub fare, is well-prepared and satisfying, making it a great spot for both a casual drink and a hearty meal. The decor is cozy and nostalgic, adding to the overall appeal. Occasionally, live music and events add to the vibrant community feel. However, it can get quite busy during peak times, which may affect service speed. Overall, the Crossways Pub is a delightful spot for both locals and visitors looking to enjoy a traditional pub experience.”

“Nice place for a quiet drink and chat with an old friend I haven't seen for over a year. Footie was on the tv but still found a quiet corner. The beer was good and a friendly crowd in the bar.”
“Popped in here for a random pint of Guinness bit worried it might be cliquey but met with very friendly staff and people enjoying themselves and good banter the the pint of Guinness is top quality I don't know what the food is like but if it's like the Guinness it's going to be tasty and fresh .”
“Walking into Social Vaping is like entering a cloud—but a cool, citrus-scented one where everyone looks just a little too relaxed. It's not your average vape shop where the staff treat you like they're auditioning for a role as a background DJ. No, this place has an atmosphere that's more like, "Come in, have a laugh, and leave with a new flavor of 'tropical mystery' on your lips." Mike, the owner, is an absolute legend. He’s the kind of guy who can recommend the perfect vape juice based on your astrological sign, your favorite 90s sitcom, and how much existential dread you're carrying that day. He's got this magical way of making you feel like you’re his favorite customer, even though there are like 10 people in the shop and one guy's literally asking if they sell vape cartridges made out of gold. He’s also got this laid-back yet highly informed vibe—he’s like a Zen monk of vape knowledge. I once saw him talk someone out of buying a mango-flavored pod with the same conviction a doctor would use to talk you out of eating expired sushi. But hey, Mike’s not just about keeping your lungs safe from ill-advised fruit decisions—he’s got the best gear, a killer selection of liquids, and the patience of a saint when some newbie is like, “So, what’s this coil thing?” The shop itself? It's like a vape haven and a cozy lounge got married and had a neon-lit baby. It's not just a place to pick up supplies; it’s a social experience (I guess the name wasn’t just a clever pun). Whether you're there for a quick grab or you’re one of the regulars who treat the place like their second home, it’s impossible not to get sucked into the friendly banter between customers and staff. There's always a conversation happening—about life, the best flavor combos, or whether you can actually taste “cloud density” (spoiler: you can’t, but it’s fun to try). So, if you're tired of vape shops where the vibe is colder than the menthol pods, hit up Social Vaping. Mike will hook you up with exactly what you need—and maybe some life advice while you’re at it. Just don’t challenge him to a vape cloud competition… unless you’re cool with losing spectacularly.”
“The accomodation was excellent. We had a converted outbuilding to ourselves with a choice of bedrooms, a small kitchen, lounge and conservatory. A friendly welcome from Eileen together with a couple of generous slices of cake was a perfect start to the stay at the farm. There was plenty of toiletries, tea, coffee, milk etc and the kitchen was well appointed with immaculate and modern appliances. The owners have got a Labrador puppy named Harper who was absolutely adorable. We would have loved to stay longer and will definitely return to this idyllic and peaceful location with stunning views of the countryside. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in the area. We ended up having a curry in a restaurant called "New royal balti" in Audley which was superb. Being non licensed we took a bottle of wine there from the Tesco store a few doors away.”
“Good to see Wem Town Hall working well in these times. From here the meals on wheels service is being run in this crisis. Well organized use of volunteers. Flexible responsive and caring. Delivering quality food from local caterers including their own in house cafe team. I expect MBE's for these selfless people Mr Johnson, in due course. I am sure our "servant for the whole of her life" gracious Queen will be delighted to bestow such recognition.”
“Our friends held their Wedding here and it was lovely. The staff were excellent and the food was awesome. we were lucky to have one of the hottest days of the year, so spent most time in the Garden which was also beautiful. Great day and what a fantastic wedding cake!”
“Lovely place to eat and the food is fantastic and reasonably priced. I had fish and chips this time because it looked so good when a friend had it last time - I wasn't disappointed. Fish was fresh, batter was crisp and perfect and the portion was massive! Last time I had Scotch egg starter - the best I have ever tasted. Will keep this pub on my list for sure!”
“Very nice and friendly warm welcome. Fantastic food and service, excellent value for money. Definitely visit again.”
