“Only been here twice since the refurbish and new owners a few months ago but the pints were good and friendly people, has pool table and darts board can’t complain.”
“Great Experience - Great Staff - Great Facilities We celebrated our Staff Christmas Party and all 25 of us had a fantastic time. Bowling, drinks, arcades and Pizza - all enjoyable. The staff were brilliant - Thank you.”
“Been here twice same experience both times , I'm not a regular but my experience was as if I was a regular , no awkward silence as I was walking in felt I was welcome both times I visited good drinks and place .”
“Lovely little pub really enjoyed the bingo ,the staff were very understanding of the desires of drunk people. Dealt with our idiotic behaviour outstandingly and made us feel exceptionally welcomed. Many thanks for the hospitality. ,the odd couple the north West. X”
“Lovely staff, lovely rooms, not super modern, but have everything. Stairs are a bit dated, but it totally suits the building, superbly clean. We would definitely stay here again, especially for the price. Ample car free parking. If you're a train enthusiast, this is a must! It's opposite the train station. We visited Stoke on Trent and Nantwich, and both 20 minutes drive away. There were many more places about it, but we only stayed 2 days. Near Tesco express, macdonalds and loads of food delivery places.”
“Great staff, good selection of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails. Lively atmosphere and some great music, private booths available as well. Door staff are polite and courteous. Overall had a good night and experience”
“Beautiful Family restaurant. Fresh clean lovely staff, Great menue fantastic prices, fab cocktails. Special thanks to lovely Poppy and Thea fantastic customer service from start to finish. Well done girls.”
“Stayed in room 2 and cannot fault the accommodation. Great shower and double bed plus single. Downstairs is closed for renovation which may be a good thing as there was no noise. Great price and no complaints. Would book again. Can't comment on service as all self check in but drinks and kettle provided as well as a decent sized TV on the wall.”
“Great staff, good surroundings eclectic and charming locals. All round a very friendly pub in a town of many pubs. Thanks to the lady who told us everything we needed to know about burslum”
“Very reasonably priced for Alton Towers. Most for outlets there are a rip off, but Woodcutters was on part with most pub food prices and the food was good, not great, bit could have been worse. Not much atmosphere though.”
“We both ordered a smothered platter. The steak was exceptional! Generous portions of all 3 meat. The layout/design reminded me more of a home with sofas and large spaces. It was late on a Sunday evening, yet staff was still welcoming and friendly. Perfect start for our holiday en route to the airport.”
“This is a restaurant that is located inside the Alton towers theme park, it's set amongst some of the theme parks fastest and most exciting rollercoasters in the Forbidden valley section. It's one of the restaurants that takes reservations for hotel guests to dine at for the evening meal. Great for day visitors to access for a quick fast food meal and cold drinks. Plenty of seating available with some outdoor seats available”
“Had a half hour to spend between trains - Hero's bar was placed conveniently right next to our platform, so enjoyed a pint in this cosy wee pub whilst we waited.”
“I really loved it the owners are so nice and the portions are huge, im definitely coming back”
“Brilliant location. Right in the centre of Buxton which is a short walk to get too. The hotel is on a hill and may be too steep for those with mobility issues. There is plenty of parking which cost £5 for 24hr. The hotel is very large but very clean. We didn't see dust, marks ect. Check in was friendly and easy. The staff are so warm and welcoming. The lobby is very large and grand and plenty of seating. The building is very old, however the decor and furniture is not. The price of a night stay with half board was excellent. Couldn't fault the hotel. The location is excellent. Just note the hotel is on hill.”
“Had a great night here! Thank you to the security guard I think his name was Jordan he looked after my friend and made our night.”
“Matt at sin is the best. Very professional!”
“Staff were friendly as were the customers. Had a lovely filling breakfast. Really recommend it.”
