“Lamb Inn ,is typical old style pub.One room, you had Dart Board and it seems it small dance floor for Disco.However it was quite and Customer, were just laughing and talking.A Customer brought in his small dog . The other bar,had racing and football,customers were cheering their horse or football. Customer servicer, was excellent and larger,I drank was very good.”

“Good large-sized bar near to the cinema. On two levels with a special gin bar upstairs. It's roomy and you can generally find a table for you and your friends even at peak times on weekends. No great shakes in the beer selection but they have a huge selection of spirits and they make cocktails too. Food is also available.”

“This is my 4th visit to the Pepper Mill, well travelling from Scotland on Business. The place never disappoints, so taking a small detour on my journey down south is definitely worth it. You are greeted by friendly, polite, and attentive staff, they have a great selection of food, drink and delicious desert. Caitlyn and Gemma served me with a smile, I highly recommend the hunters chicken. Open and airy atmosphere. Would definitely recommend a visit. You will not be disappointed.”

“We visited to meet up with family for my daughter's birthday and we had such an enjoyable experience, the food was incredible and served lovely and hot even with it being fairly busy! the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the environment was warm and welcoming, the children’s section is a nice touch and kept our kids entertained whilst we decided on what to eat! Will definitely be returning more regularly in 2026, well done to a fab team!”

“Fantastic great value pub with a warm cosy atmosphere and friendly bar staff, especially Kelly who was busy sweeping up on the Saturday karaoke night when I visited. I must give a big mention to the landlord, a handsome chap who was non stop and nothing was too much trouble for him. The landlady with the green hair is one lucky woman! I’ve been in the Market Tavern every day since, I liked it that much! Bravo The Market Tavern!”

“Having had my bag stolen in Couture, we tracked it to The Grapes. Security staff were amazing. They helped me to track my phone, turning the music off to allow us to hear it. We found the stolen bag with people had sat next to us in Couture. Couldn't have asked for more from the staff at the Grapes. As it turns out, they were also playing some great music so we stayed for a dance or two!”

“Best breakfast and more so the Manager Cliff the big Irish guy made us feel welcome from the start. He was polite and made sure that we had everything from the start. He recommended the full for us and we took his recommendation and was not disappointed. Everything cooked fresh and plenty on the plate. Compliments to the young chef as we saw him when he came from the kitchen to speak with Cliff. Nothing was any problem for the staff. We decided to head out around Alsager and we decided to go back for Lunch. My wife had the New York chicken and I had the cottage pie due to the last review. I could not complain the food was piping hot and was delicious. I do agree with the last review we did have to wait about 30mins but was well worth it. The staff were really pleasant and it was a girl with glasses who was there when we returned and cliff had gone. Cant wait to go back xx”

“We celebrated our child's party in Superbowl Macclesfield. Children played 2 games of laser quest and had a blast. The laser quest room is very nice and big. Children (and adults) loved it. Shaun and Nathan were our hosts and they were both fantastic. The birthday table was in an enclosed area, which was very nice. They set up the table very nicely with little presents for the children (keyrings, pokemon cards, tickets, etc). The party food was nice: children liked the chicken nuggets and the pizza. I tried the chips and they were nice too! We had plenty of squash that Shaun kept refilling. This is the 3rd time we celebrate a birthday in Superbowl Macc and they have always been brilliant! - Thanks again; great team!”

“It's a cool, typical English pub. It's very common to see English older people drinking beer. Good staff, the only minus is that they close early. Large selection of alcoholic beverages, and the prices are the best”

“You know what this place has changed. It went really downhill and we stopped going for many years. The new management is top dollar and they have done a proper job. The place is nice and well cleaned and the food freshly cooked to order for breakfast. I'd go back there and eat again, its cost effective and a no nonsense simple menu. It isn't a top end restaurant and doesnt elude to being so. But the display of food and the taste... well it was dot on!”
