“Visited The Railway Inn yesterday as a halfway point to meet a friend. Had an excellent experience. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was fresh, tasty & homemade. The chef came to ask if everything had been OK. Will definitely be back!”

“We had booked for a table on our walk, and we got there a bit early before opening, but tables outside to sit on. It started to fill pretty quickly, all the food we ordered was delicious and cooked perfectly no complaints from any of us and we were a group of 5. Even some drinks came quirky. Would definitely go again.”

“Came lastnight for a meal, it's the first time I've ever been and not had a carvery and the food was lovely. My partner and mother in-law said the burgers were lovely. My nachos were delicious, the waiting on staff was brilliant aswell, if I had cash I would have tipped her as she did her best on her own. Thanks for feeding my family with some lovely food :D”

“Great pub with great staff and the locals are extremely friendly karaoke on a Sunday with Ben is a great afternoon/night. Quiz night on Wednesday night is a great midweek break. Jo Baker the landlady is doing a great job and now they have had a refurbishment the drink deals and cocktails make it a very reasonably priced night out”

“This grotty local boozer has had a spectacularly marvellous refurbishment and is now fabulous. New landlord & staff makes this most definitely a 'good to' pub complete with cask Ales and a decent spread of lagers. Pub's a good 'un!”

“Had a lovely visit here recently. Drinks were great and the prices were good. They also have a new manager Leah, she is an absolute star. Nothing was too much trouble and her attitude was great. Definitely passionate about her pub. All of the staff that we met were so friendly too. They also have lots of events planned for Easter so would definitely recommend a visit!”

“7th March 2025. We ended up here. The bar man was very friendly and extremely helpful, as we were looking for a place to eat. He recommended several places. Atmosphere was lively, busy pub, drinks reasonable price. We had a few in here, whilst we waited for the restaurant to open across the way. Would visit again.”

“Really unique concept of dining, menu is street food style that leaves you spoilt for choice. Fresh made burgers that to say the least are filling and absolutely delicious, there's also burritos and noodles and a huge choice of other bites for every taste and appetite. Everything on the menu is freshly prepared with great attention to detail of the ingredients. Good choice of cocktails served in a variety of quirky ways but only one draft lager but it was quite refreshing. Great repurposed furniture and decor with an outdoor seating area to the rear. Great place for groups great food, great atmosphere and really nice staff.”

“Tge pub doesnt do food, so coulent put any review for that! I have to say I've had a few great times in this pub. The new land lady has really created a great atmosphere here! Welcoming to all crowds! A decent, well kept beer and newly refurbished. It has great little beer garden out the back thats lovely in the summer.”

“The carvery had a great selection, was cooked very well and not dry and a decent amount of meat all for a cheap price. Jodie was our server, and was extremely helpful even though we had a table of 9 and the place was already pretty busy. They also have 0° beer on draft which I haven’t had before which was great - would 100% recommend.”

“Always a decent place to visit. Whether you’re eating, drinking l, catching up or just want to explore the old building. Cheap drinks and there is a big selection, hot and cold. Food served here too, good enough for the price. Busier at weekends. Always a good place to start a night out. Surprisingly the toilets are on ground level and not half a mile away.”

“I recently attended an event at The White Eagle Club and it's truly a fantastic place to connect with the Polish community. The community function hall was excellent for celebrating a birthday party, equipped with good facilities like ample parking, a well-equipped kitchen, and a bar. It's an ideal venue for an average-sized function, complete with a staffed bar, a stage, and all necessary amenities. The availability of kitchens and free parking adds to the convenience, making it a standout choice for gatherings.”

“We popped in for Thursday curry night and it didn't disappoint. The lady who served me who i think may have been a manager was brilliant, she was on the ball with serving me and putting my order through, and i could tell she was working hard because didn't stop rushing around. The food came out in super quick time. Toilets were clean. I would definitely return to this whetherspoons.”

“Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect, but this Mongolian BBQ blew me away. The selection of meats and veggies was super fresh, and I loved being able to create my own custom sauce blend – experimenting is half the fun! Watching the chefs work their magic on the giant grill was mesmerizing, and the food came out perfectly cooked every time. Plus, the all-you-can-eat aspect meant I could really try a bit of everything without feeling guilty. Definitely going back soon!”

“We went to The Loopy Shrew for Christmas meal. It was extremely busy and there wasn't much space to move in the bar area. The food however arrived quickly and was very tasty. It was a good meal and the drinks were nice, but a little expensive.”

“We had a fabulous trip to Hollywood bowling. It was well priced compared to its comparable competitors and offered additional discount for those bowling prior to 11am which suited us with 3 young children. The staff were attentive and welcoming and helped when the system broke twice (simple fixes and didn't impair the game so we simply carried on). The toilets were clean and adequate. The access was great for a pushchair and therefore good for a wheelchair plus accessible toilet with baby change facilities. There is also a well thought out arcade with lots of variety of games/ experiences. They also offer food and drink which seems nice and well priced (for this kind of place). If we lived locally we'd certainly visit regularly. The vip section looks good We'd definitely consider this for a special occasion.”

“We arrived just after lunchtime not knowing the Indian menu didn’t commence until 4pm (our fault for not checking). We came back just before 4pm and were seated immediately. The service from the knowledgeable waiters and staff was fantastic and the food was outstanding. Portion size was massive.”
