“Very nice pub with loads of ales all brewed on site, pub has events on every couple weeks, staff friendly and Ste the gaffa is nice bloke always ready for a chat. They do sausage rolls and cobs and cakes and hot drinks would highly recommend. would highly recommend.”
“The most perfect wedding venue. From the outset of booking this venue Jose was there guiding us through everything we needed to know - not just about the venue, but advice on photographers and the actual ceremony expectations. The venue and grounds are simply stunning, you’d have never known we were so close to Stone centre! We were very lucky to get married outside and it was breathtaking, our wedding breakfast took place upstairs and it had its rustic charm with the beams and wheel, again, with lots of our guest commenting how lovely it was to see the character of the building. The food was unreal, one of the biggest compliments post wedding we got was about how amazing the food was especially the paella! Jose, his sister and all his family & workers that help run The Mill truly make it the wonderful, stress free and magical place to get married. I cannot recommend this place enough!”
“Visiting from out of town. Friendly staff and a great Guinness pour!”
“Great night Oasis tribute band , always a good night when they have entertainment”
“My favourite local pub, always a great atmosphere that you just can’t beat. Staff are lovely and go above and beyond for you on every visit. The food is much better than stereotypical ‘pub’ food, we often come for celebrations and birthday meals! Great job guys well done :)”
“Great pub fantastic conservatory and pub garden prices are low to medium nice local larger and cider. Service great and friendly nibbles offered sometimes and may be possible to eat outside food on premises.”
“Great pub , nice atmosphere Charlene is a lovely host and professional land lady”
“Excellent lady behind the counter and an absolutely beautiful smooth latte. Not too strong in taste and not served so hot it burns the tongue out of your mouth. Excellent.”
“Run by local residents, which is always a bonus, not sure but I think they are actually volunteers. The breakfast was lovely and your drink comes with it. Excellent value for money and lovely friendly people who work there. We'll worth a visit.”
“A great little bar with some good beers on tap..”
“Fantastic experience. Well laid out and maintained. Good value too. Would recommend a guided tour if you can. A real piece of English history.”
“We took the children to Alton Towers this half term and we wanted to stay in a nice place for the night. I am telling you it doesn’t disappoint ! The rooms, the food the staff is 5 stars! A gem of the area! Love love love”

“Boothroyd agrees that this a good place for an old King to drink. Surprisingly large pub with a rear patio. Boothroyd decided on a pint of draught Bass. Very good traditional ale. Sat in the strand twixt bar and garden, close to the Throne Room. Enjoyed the music.”
“Best Sunday dinner we have had in a long time! Me and my partner go to lots of places for Sunday dinner and The Queen’s Head tops the lot! Large sizes and the cheesy leeks/ cauliflower cheese was incredible. Staff were really attentive and looked after us throughout our stay. We shall be back and will recommend to friends and family.”
“Had a party for a retirement celebration. There were 14 of us and we complicated things with last minute changes to numbers due to sickness. Staff couldn’t do enough and everything went very well and smoothly. They re-set the table and made space for 2 prams for our newborn babies. Nathan was our allocated waiter and took the time to go over the changes to the pre orders, last minute changes and allergies to ensure they were all correct. Great food and service. Lovely atmosphere too. A wonderful afternoon.”
“This was my second time here. I really enjoyed it. The decor is industrial with a red brick vaulted ceiling. It looked lovely with the Christmas decorations up. The food is really good. I had a goat's cheese, walnut and pear sandwich on seeded brown bread with coleslaw and fries as extras (shared). Excellent sized portions - and the fries were exceptional!! Very crispy outside, soft inside and very hot. The only negatives are inadequate parking at busy times and the noise level in the restaurant. There are no soft furnishings which makes for a very loud atmosphere. Screeching Christmas partygoers didn't help. I will go back, but not in the weeks leading up to Christmas.”
“Great boozer. Excellent friendly staff. Warm and Cozy. A good selection of Titanic Beers and more ... Singers on from time to time too. What more can you want. Highly recommended.”
“Purchased a vehicle from these guys in the last couple of days I dealt directly with Lewis He was a delight from start to finish Nothing was to much for him Also pulled of a mega deal for us! We had been in a few other cupra garages closer to home before driving an hour and half up-to barlow motors cupra and this is where Lewis’s magic came in The manager at Barlow motors is also a total delight and even took time out to follow up with a phone call to see how we are getting on Would highly recommend using these guys they will not disappoint”
“Fabulous country pub! We just spent a night here in our motorhome and would highly recommend the place. Food was excellent, atmosphere was vibrant, and the staff were polite and helpful. There's something for everyone here, family and dog friendly. Large car park, outside toilets for motorhome stopovers, and lots of space for vans, motorhomes, campers etc. Thank you for a great evening.”
“No longer sells food. Staff told us next closest decent food place, but they don't have access to update the website. Looked like a great pub regardless.”
“Great bar with a great selection of drinks served in a Trendy Market food hall in crewe town, it's a friendly, clean and comfortable environment and all the staff are welcoming. Plenty of large table, great for group nights out or a quick bite to eat and a few drinks before visiting the lyceum theatre next door”
“A great pub, Mandy & Mark do a great job. My first choice for a night with family or friends.”
“Nice quiet.train station pub with a grest selection of Titanic beer. Try a Grand Reserve Plumb Porter, one of the best drinks frim Titanic. It closes early at 7pm but a great place to wait while the rush hour traffic dies down.”
“Lovely chap behind the bar Solid pint Fantastic”
“Lovely biker cafe. Had the full English for £11. Not greasy at all and food was delicious. Definitely be adding to my ride out locations”
“Been I the peel for the first time since the new owners have taken over and they have done a amazing job of the pub. The new owners have given the pub a much needed paint and a good clean and they have put a lovely patio in the beer garden. The toilet seemed new and very clean. They really seem to be trying really hard with the place. They had a BBQ on today which I found to be a great idea and really do hope that the pub goes from strength to strength”
“We drove past this place million times and never noticed it untill today. We were really surprised how lovely the place look (despite rundown neighbourhood). The building looks lovely both inside and outside. Jacket potato and the sandwich was really tasty”
“Nipped in on my way home for a quick pint after work. Fantastic atmosphere everyone was friendly, tried the Cracked black pepper pork pie, OMG it was so tasty I had to take some home for the family.”
