“My friend and I recently stayed here foor 2 nights whilst we took part in the BMW off road experience nearby. Very pleasant place to stay. Rooms are quiet and comfortable. The hosts are very welcoming and eager to ake your stay as nice as possible. Cooked breakfast if required. Recommended to anyone wanting a peaceful night's sleep!”

“We didn’t stay here, we only came for a meal. It was winter, dark, and I forgot to take any photos (my bad). Anyway, it’s a lovely old building brought up to modern specs as far as I could see, the staff were all great, (we were served by a lovely Spanish guy who’s been there for a number of years I think), and the food was wonderful! We had the bread and cockles for nibbles, ravioli and wontons for starters then we both had a pie for main (I forget exactly what was in it but it was a rich gamey pie that went perfectly with the suggested bottle of red.) We wanted to try the deserts, cheese board, digestifs etc but were full to bursting so we’ll just have to go again and try harder. Thanks guys and gals. Xx”

“Lovely place to stay. Very friendly and great rooms. Thought of everything you might need for a great stay. Iron and ironing board outside rooms, water dispenser and extra tea,coffee etc outside the rooms. Even spare toilet roll outside the rooms. My room had a fridge and microwave and even a leather sofa to lounge on. Plenty of space to relax outside with a drink. Lovely breakfast in the dining room which is beautifully set out with tablecloths and all matching crockery. Have stayed her a few times. Can very highly recommend.”

“Came here to attend a friends wedding and wow what a stunning place for one. Overall the perfect wedding. The lake is serene and still, ideal for the ceremony. Plenty of grass area to host games, foodhall and live music. The accommodation was rustic and warm. Lots of animals on site who are very friendly (goats being the best) would highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a wedding venue with accommodation.”

“The site is wonderfully situated. Real down to earth setup. Plunge pool fed by rainwater sits next to an amazing waterfall, big overhead fan assistance in the communal area to keep the bugs away. Brilliant idea. Each site wonderfully surrounded by willows for a real sense of privacy The 2 saunas are spotless and superb! The facilities are just right, 3 w/c shower rooms, washing and recycling facilities all excellent. Oh! I almost forgot the bath tub! This is installed between the waterfall and the plunge pool and fed from the same stream. Brilliant.”
