“Really peaceful place for a picnic or just to de-stress. Plenty of parking and reasonably priced. Check out my photos for prices as of June 2025. Picnic tables and benches dotted around great for dog walking, some dogs were off the leads. However the track we took was sandy so you'll get a buggy down there however you may struggle with a chair or scooter.”

“Tl;dr Great swimming pool. I've been to many pools in my life and I believe how great the staff are here. The friendly, warm and helpful welcome I've had the last few times I've been here is incredible. If I'm honest the venue doesn't look up to much from the outside but the facilities indoors are actually incredible. Clean tidy chaning area every time. This may sound odd but anyone that uses a pool often may understand, the pool, walls and floor around the pool are always clean too. It actually feels great to swim in. An added bonus for the facility is the smaller pool for young children meaning that the main pool isn't fully booked out all the time for various lessons and classes.”

“It's very relaxing to just swim nice and slowly up and down but getting good excersise too”

“This is a good pool for serious swimmers and those who just want some fun. There aren't any slides or anything too fancy usually but in the water kids can make their own entertainment. There are however, designated fun sessions, during which they will have a large inflatable island, excellent fun for slightly older kids. Additionally they offer a variety of lessons and classes, a small gym, a jacuzzi, nice clean changing rooms, and excellent facilities for the disabled. Staff here are helpful and dedicated. For a small community pool it is very decent.”

“Beautiful, peaceful nature reserve with extensive dunes and heathlands, wild flowers and butterflies, and then a stunning empty beach at the end of the walk. One of the hottest days of the year and we saw less than half a dozen people on the beach all day, and some of the time we were alone with miles of soft sand. Can’t wait to come back. And cheap parking a lovely bonus.”

“Lovely area to walk your dogs. Safe, clean. A couple of benches along the route if you need a sit down. Mostly flat and a concrete path so suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. I went on a rainy day but I bet it will be gorgeous on a sunny day.”

“Great safe cycle track, plenty of benches to sit on when you take a break from riding, it's a shared track for cyclists and pedestrians, if only people walking would be more aware of cyclists, instead of wearing radio ear pieces, the might hear the bell when it's rang and not panic when a bike comes along.”
