“Great pub with delicious food. I was there for the second time and I was still nicely surprised with the taste of meals. Portions are big, the food is freshly made and is nicely decorated on the plates . The staff are friendly and the pub is clean and tidy. Summerhouse has plenty of car park spaces and also the garden with the tables and sits outside. Behind the garden area there are meadows with wild flowers and free roaming horses. I highly recommend this pub. It's a shame for me that this pub is not close to Coventry where I live.”

“Hosted my sons 18th birthday party here. Amazing venue with a beautiful interior, the dance floor and seating area was a great size enough for our guests! Food was exquisite, and catered for over 120 people. Owners and staff were very helpful and kind, and gave us a lot of support in setting the party up. Great Night and will definitely be booking a party here again!”

“Love this pub! A proper local, I call it the Winchester to my mates as it's a proper pub. They have a TV for the footy and a bandit, with a decent pool table. The smoking area is the best I've seen in the UK, tiled, covered and every time I've been out there I've had a good natter with the fellow smokers. Good people, good crowd!”

“5 piece breakfast was well cooked and tasted great. Two Aloo Parantha came with yoghurt and hot pickles, and was spiced just right. Only took 10 mins to be made from scratch with a coffee. Was cheap and will be using again.”

“We recently booked a room with Stephen at the Whimsey, for a family gathering after our mother's funeral service, with the buriel just around the corner at Willenhall Lawn Cemetery. Stephen was so understanding to our situation and spoke with us a few times prior to check exactly what we would like. The Whimsey supplied all the catering which consisted of soup & sandwiches, curry & rice, also tea & coffee, at a very reasonable price. We had the whole pub to ourselves from 1-3pm, until he opened, however we could stay as long as we liked. We would like to thank Stephen and all at the Whimsey for making this day so special. We totally recommend this venue for any family events”

“I've now been here on two occasions, for coffee with friends. Although we've not eaten here, the service was good ; the waitresses were both pleasant and efficient. Our coffees each time were made to our liking. The baked goods on offer looked very tempting. Our first visit was on Jamie's first day and I was pleased to hear next time that she was doing well.”

Josh (the chef) single handedly runs the shop perfectly and always has a smile on his face. the menu is great and has lots of options. the food was loooovely!!! the taste and flavours are amazing - I had the cajun chicken burger. “What a great Venue. I visited here as a direct recommendation someone who had posted on line called Karen Jones who shared details about the friendliness of the venue, and that alone was enough to draw me in, but then i tried the food and was blown away. Doing the basics, really well is what it’s all about for me, with the use of High Quality, delicious ingredients. Such a great Vibe, with people and pets, children and adults being welcome. It’s great to see a venue function so well, with a great inviting atmosphere, non pretentious. So many venues these days make too many adjustments for the random occasional immunocompromised that places lose what it is to be a venue of great food, great company and great memories. I’ve found my new favorite place”

“Had a lovely carvery for mom & dad's 76th wedding anniversary with the family Plenty of parking space. Eady access to the pub. Had an alcove of the pub to ourselves. Staff were very accommodating & service was with a smile. Meat was plentiful, mash, roastas & yorkies were delicious my only gripe would be that there was only a small selection of veg. Gravy was delicious plenty of condiments too. We will definately eat at the castle again so would definitely reccomend oh & the prices are also very reasonable. Dad loves Guinness & is really fussy the Castle is the only pub in Wolverhampton that he has enjoyed it, which is always a bonus.”
