“Went for Breakfast early this morning, really enjoyed sitting on a bus eating a breakfast with a brew. Prices are cheap and staff lovely.”

“Great location and situated close to a main road, so easy to get to - no matter your form of transport. Has a small and convenient car park which holds three cars, which is plenty - if you're popping by for breakfast/lunch to go. Food is delicious and very reasonably priced, especially considering the great portion sizes. I had a bacon, egg and sausage sandwich with two hash browns. Absolutely lovely, it was freshly cooked/made to order in no time at all! My only constructive criticism is that it's cash only, which is a shame in this day and age with card/phone/NFC payments. However, there is a cashpoint just over the road at Tesco - so paying cash is not inconvenient in the slightest. Staff are lovely, friendly and welcoming. Always make a bright start to the day. I go here once a week to support such a wonderful local business.”

“Within The Hare and Hounds you have a place called Bad Boy Wings, me and friends tried a combination of all their wings all very much had their own style of taste, and all very nice juicy and fresh but my personal favourite were the Korean BBQ wings star of the show for me, I also had a double smash cheeseburger with like a mustard dressing worked very well and the pint of Cruzcampo wasn’t half bad either, service was good and quick highly recommend.”

“Nice atmosphere and very good service. All the staff is very polite and friendly. Delicious braised fish in the Cameroon way and generous portion too that can feed 2 people. Nice beers available like imported Guinness and Leffe for a fair price.”

“One of the best Black Country pubs around. No fuss, no frills, good beer on tap(Bathams), good food, excellent beer garden, dogs restricted to some indoor space and welcomed, locals use this pub adding to a very pleasant atmosphere. Give it a try.”

“I was locked outside my house with my daughter so took refuge in this pub. Sarah was so lovely and welcoming and even told me to go back if I couldn't get in. Everytime I've been here she's been a delight. The pub has a nice atmosphere and is always clean”

“Just had a superb roast at the Loyal Lodge. The food was outdtanding and service was excellent, making you feel like nothing was too much trouble even when we asked to change tables. The mash, roast spuds and baby carrots were the highlights for me.....and obviously the meats. Sadly no room for pud. Lovely place, nice atmosphere with good beer.”

“Celebrated my son’s christening here a few weeks back. Had such a great day. The staff were all soooo friendly and couldn’t do enough for me. The buffet was amazing and they decorated the pub perfectly. They made our day extra special and could not be more grateful. Highly recommend”

“Well, what can I say? From the second we entered we were made to feel like regulars and friends by a fantastic young man. He recommended the seating to be comfortable because i am disabled and a real ale which was delicious. The food was amazing. Piping hot and great quality. I had the sea bass which was beautiful and came with 2 generous fillets and a king prawn sauce with loads of whole prawns in it! My brother in law and my sister had pork belly and 10oz rib eye. He said his was best pork he had ever had and my sis was over the moon with her steak although it was very slighty over medium, which she ordered but it wasnt an issue. All the veg was to die for, fresh and al dente with good bite. We chose the Swallows from a quick google dive for Pauls birthday and were so glad we did. Yes, it is a little more on the pricey side for us but in my book worth every penny especially for a treat. So a big thank you to the amazing staff and we will return.”

“Good place to socialise, bar staff are very friendly, polite, good customer service. Sunday afternoon's have entertainment, with very good singers, where everyone joins in, and has a dance, followed by karaoke. Well worth a visit.”

“A real proper local what more can you ask for. Had a pint of real ale and it was spot on, well kept and bang on temp. Good selection of other drinks. Staff were lovely and warm, smiling and the building has a real old school look and feel, we need more of these pubs and save those that are left. A true gem and a pillar of its community.”

“The SEN sessions here are great for my children. I've got to be honest though I love the latte and food options at the cafe. It's safe enough for the kids to play whilst I indulge in something yummy. The kids love the milkshake. The play area itself is safe and accommodates all their needs”

“We visited the Blackhorse on several occasions over that last three weeks because our local pub was closed for refurbishment. We were very pleased with the food and service that we received. On each visit one particular member of staff, Rhonda was there to welcome and serve us. She was excellent. Even though the pub was busy she dealt with everyone in a kind and efficient way. Thanks.”

“Got thrown off the train last night at Rowley Regis station (not my fault). Didn't have a clue where I was. Got google maps out on my phone and started walking towards BlackHeath. Walking? Thirsty work! Came across the Clock Inn and thought why not! Popped in had a pint. What a brilliant pub with both the staff and the "regulars" all being really friendly. Wish I lived a lot closer.”
