“We took some friends here as we had been previously and had an amazing experience and time, so thought we would share with some more friends who travelled from Stoke on Trent. We were all absolutely delighted and the staff team delivered outstanding customer service, we were met and greeted by Leah and Natasha who are lovely ladies and what great senses of humour! Guy, Harry and the Chef Jay and Ahmed took exceptional care of the 6 of us. The menu has an excellent array of choices and we had deep fried onion rings and cheesy garlic bread the best we’ve ever tasted. The Bacon chop, cottage pie and chicken parmigiana were quite simply delicious and excellent value for money and we all tried something different and we all agreed it was worth the journey from Stoke on Trent. One of our group bought some chocolates as we were leaving but they were gone by the time we arrived home! Thanks to Guy and the team who made our visit perfect nothing was too much trouble and they all went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed! We shall definitely be back! An outstanding customer service experience in such an iconic setting we shall definitely return!”

It was also excellent value for money, not only did we get to take out own boxes of chocolate at home the prosecco and chocolate fondue at the end was a lovely surprise. thank you very much for being wonderful hosts and looking after my crazy family.”

“Went there Tuesday night before going across to the Cineworld cinema. The prices have gone up but the food was amazing. I had the triple cookie dough which is £8.95, the person serving was super friendly and the dessert was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Definitely recommend coming here for a treat! (The chairs could do with upgrading though as they're looking pretty tatty, which is a shame as it's a lovely restaurant)”

“I have had delivery from here a few times. The pizza is always spot on, and the delivery drivers are always courteous. Also, it gets here within a very reasonable time every time, even on peak times like Friday or Saturday evenings. Especially great when you get half-price deals on the app.”

“I visited this cafe on the way back to my car parked in Touchwood. I hate bucket size coffees and here they serve a small size at £2.65 which is great value and perfect for those who don't need loads of liquid. The lady who runs it is lovely and very friendly. I will definitely be returning.”

Only thing is the menu up on the wall - the size was small with my poor eyesight but they had plenty of menus on each table to look at!”

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and full of positive energy. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and made us feel completely at home right away. Now, let’s talk about the food — because wow! The mixed grill was absolutely phenomenal. Every single item on the platter was cooked to perfection — tender, juicy, and packed with incredible flavor. You can really tell that the chefs take pride in their cooking. The fish was another highlight — fresh, perfectly seasoned, and grilled just right. It honestly melted in the mouth. It’s rare to find a place that nails both meat with such consistency, but Merrymaid absolutely does. The service was top-notch throughout our visit. , the food came out hot and fresh, and the servers were attentive without being intrusive. What really impressed me, though, was the personal touch — the owner, Ranjit, personally came over to our table to ask how everything was. That kind of attention and care speaks volumes about how much pride he takes in his restaurant and how much he values his customers. It’s not just a meal here — it’s an experience. Everything about this place says quality — from the cleanliness of the restaurant to the presentation of the food and the friendly, family-like vibe that makes you want to stay longer. You can tell the whole team truly cares about what they do, and it shows in every detail. We will be back to try the curry. Merrymaid Bar and Grill is the place to go.
