“We came in here for a quick snack, it was 3:30pm so it was pretty empty! We had popadoms which were lovely. Got the lamb biryani which was 10/10, just what we needed, really flavoursome. Maybe add some potato? Will be back to try more. Reasonably priced.”

“So I ordered a combo box (3 wings, half chicken and cajun fries) from Soul Chicken. The wings were chunky cooked and marinated with jerk sauce which was slightly spicy but not to hot. Half chicken tasted nice again marinated with the same jerk sauce. The cajun fries was something different well cooked tasted really nice compared to normal fries well worth upgrading. The portion are large be aware good idea keeping empty stomach especially with the combo box. Well worth trying highly recommended.”

“I ordered oxtail with rice and veggies from this Jamaican/Caribbean takeaway, and honestly, it hit the spot. The oxtail was the star of the plate — juicy, rich, and full of flavour. I couldn’t help myself! Big shoutout to Mel, because I’m sure she was the one behind the pot. She really did her thing with the cooking. After a long and tiring day at work, that food brought me back to life. It lifted my mood, gave me energy, and turned my Sunday into a proper good one. I genuinely appreciate the beautiful food they make here. Definitely worth it.”

Such a friendly staff, which know what they’re doing and their passion for coffee is great. Gentleman there has 9 years experience with the coffee! You can pay with card or cash, coffee cups are so cute and adequate size, lovely coffee taste (not milky like almost everywhere), great choice of coffee beans (medium roast). “What I call proper home cooked food, we had cottage pie and a steak & kidney pie. Good choice of veg, both meals were hot and plenty. If still hungry puddings available. They also have a good menu catering for most tastes. A very short walk off the main road and bus station. Lovely staff”
