“Room was pristine, bumped into the housekeeper as I was checking in and she made sure I had everything I needed. The hotel is attached to a charming country style pub with amazing food and fantastic staff. The location is on a busy road but also a 5 minute bus from the town centre which was a beautiful place to spend the day and has lots of local amenities. I would recommend this hotel to a person travelling alone or as a couple for a peaceful retreat as the location has fantastic transport links all over the country.”

“Never thought to eat here but reviews were favourable so had a quick stop for dinner. It definitely had a drinkers vibe but the lounge was quieter. Anyway, seeing the price of the food (pie / chilli @£5.95!!) we did wonder what the quality would be like. I ordered boozy pie. The puff lid, if I'm being picky, could've been done crisper, but there was tons of tender meat, and the chips and the veg were cooked to perfection. Partners chilli was reported to be very tasty too. Enjoyed our meals. Six quid!!!!!!!”

“Called ahead first to ask about bringing three of my service users (one learning disabilities and two complex needs). Couldn't be more helpful on the phone. Even suggested we could have a table in the quietest area. Once there, the staff were amazing. Extremely helpful, courteous and couldn't do enough to make sure our people were comfortable and stress free. Took the guys names so the bills didn't get confused and allowed us as much time as we needed at the table. Mitchell and Aaron, you were both brilliant and a credit to the pub. Thankyou both and we will definitely be back soon”

“We went for winter wonderland and weren't disappointed. It was absolutely brilliant and we'd definitely come again, there's something for everyone! From snow play to a pantomime and Christmas music, it put us into the festive spirit, the decorations outside were amazing too! We were gifted our tickets via Acorns Children's Hospice and the disabled access was amazing too!”

“Was fancying something different than a fish and chips on a Friday so decided to give monsoon a try. I can tell you one thing for sure the food was delicious all cooked fresh while we waited the flavour of the jalfrezi was amazing the korma was delicious naans were full of flavour and chips that were fresh and we were given some popadoms and dips. Fridays are going to be a lot different from today!!!”

“It's a Wilko, always clean and tidy and the staff are always polite and helpful. Good variety of items and great prices on most things. Don't forget the Pic 'n' Mix offers on school holidays. The retail park it's in can get quite busy but if you pick your times it's a good overall site.”

“Our family had the most wonderful stay-and-play experience at Drayton Manor Resort, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! My wife, our 5-year-old son, and I visited recently during their Halloween special, and it was a magical experience from start to finish. Everything — from the themed décor to the warm hospitality — made it one of the best family getaways we’ve ever had. The highlight of our trip was, without a doubt, the Thomas Land theme park. Our little boy is a huge Thomas the Tank Engine fan, and seeing his face light up when we entered was priceless. He absolutely loved riding on the Thomas-themed trains, meeting his favourite characters, and exploring all the fun rides designed especially for younger children. The park was beautifully decorated for Halloween with pumpkins, friendly ghosts, and cheerful seasonal music, creating a festive yet family-friendly atmosphere. Every corner had something new to discover, and it was clear that a lot of thought had gone into making the experience enjoyable for both kids and parents. We also stayed overnight in one of the Thomas & Friends-themed rooms, and it was simply amazing. The attention to detail was outstanding — from the Thomas bedding and wall art to the little touches that made our son feel like he was sleeping in Sodor itself. He was so thrilled that he didn’t want to go to bed, and the next morning, he didn’t want to leave! In fact, he kept asking if we could stay “just one more night” so he could go back to Thomas Land again. The staff throughout the resort were friendly, helpful, and always smiling, which made the experience even better. The food options were great, and everything was clean, well-organized, and family-oriented. Overall, Drayton Manor Resort is a dream destination for families, especially those with young children. We created some truly special memories and can’t wait to visit again — maybe next time for Christmas or summer!”

(3.9.24) The girl was in her 20’s I’d say with dark curly hair and was so friendly and polite whilst she served customers. “I needed to return a faulty camping chair, I must say the service was EXCELLENT, nothing was too much trouble, they even carried the chairs in from my car. I purchased online, and it turned out I bought from Millets, after Blacks were unable to supply, this was back in May, but no problem they exchanged for two new ones, and refunded on my CC immediately. My thanks to the Manager for his excellent service.”

“Poundland really good store to go to great prices and staff are very friendly and nice only thing is would be great if each store could actually keep and eye on disabled parking or have someone dictate to that as job like a parking enforcement meter because people are abusing the disabled parking parking there just waiting to pick someone up or parking there so they can go shopping yet again the amount of cars I seen just parking in the disabled parking because nothing gets done about it they act like it’s a perk is disabled people have and it’s not it’s to make things easier for us but no point in having it when you got stuck up people abusing and don’t actually care the amount time I had to say something to people and they really don’t care they ignore you it’s disgusting it does need to be sorted out but other than this Poundland really good place to shop”

“An entirely new experience for this 66 year old! I jumped as part of a team effort for Homeless One, an organisation that offers help for the disadvantaged and vulnerable of Birmingham. To say that I was a bag of raw nerves doesn't even come close, but the guys on the ground and in the 'cage' during the ascent were utterly brilliant; they boosted my confidence no end. An unforgettable day and thank you for making it so memorable.”
