“Stayed here for the night while myself and Mum saw a concert at peace hall the staff where lovely and welcoming the DJ outside during the day played all the best music and the roast chicken wrap van was a very nice touch. The rooms where clean and the beds where extremely comfortable we will definitely be staying here again if we are in the area Thanks for a great stay”

“Visited here tonight with some work friends for a Christmas meal - haven't been in the pub for a few years but impressed with the renovations. We all ate from the Christmas menu - the food was fantastic with all 3 courses. Tables around us were eating from the normal menu and what they had looked delicious. Great service from staff too. “Ordered a delivery. Arrived within around 30 mins. The driver was extremely polite and respectful when he rang to double check my address and door number! I had the Chicken Makhani, chapati, chips. All my food was fresh and hot! Complimentary salad and mint yoghurt sauce- and it was FRESH! I enjoyed this too! My chicken makhani was spicier than i had expected (i did choose mild, i think) but it was still so delicious! I really liked that the chicken was cut into smaller chunks! I will be ordering again!”

“A friendly accommodating staff offering a genuine professional service . The afternoon tea for my wife and daughter offered an excellent range of quality sandwiches , scones and cakes . Myself I enjoyed the smoked salmon , scrambled egg on toasted sourdough bread which well presented but was also able to partake in the delicious afternoon tea. In my opinion well worth a further visit very soon .”

I called in to borrow the toilet, as I said to the lady behind the bar "it would be damned rude not to have a gill" I'd like to call again some time and maybe stop for a couple of hours, maybe on a Sunday.
