Each dish had that signature Shimlas taste — rich, authentic, and full of spice and aroma. What really made the experience stand out, though, was Sister Qamar’s exceptional service. She was warm, professional, and attentive throughout, making sure every detail was just right. I would suugest them to expand their menu to include Tawa platters, Arabic cuisine like Mandi and also some Noodles & Soups. They also help us celebrate our Birth Day party with nice chanting. “I love Al Nawab. Always fabulous food to take away or eat in. Very good sized portions, everything freshly cooked. Chicken sizzler is my favourite with lovely large chunks of chicken. You can ask for curries to be more or less spicy and the owners lovely son gives good recommendations. I have had curries from other local restaurants, but they are not as good quality and way more expensive. I like the fact you can take your own booze as it is obviously much cheaper and for anyone who doesn’t realise it isn’t licensed, a quick stroll to Tesco Co-op or Lidl can get you something to wash it all down with. Lovely family business great food and staff, highly recommended.”

“We had a fantastic dining experience at Kobane Kurdish Restaurant. We ordered the lamb Qozi, and it was absolutely great! The portion size was huge, and the food was incredibly tasty. The service was excellent as well—very attentive and friendly. I especially enjoyed the soup that was served before the main meal, and the Kurdish tea at the end really completed the whole experience. Thank you for a wonderful meal! “Wow. 20 years I've been coming here and never had a bad meal. The food is truly exquisite with perfectly balanced flavours, interesting combinations and always beautifully presented. “Been going here for a few weeks now, usually with a lads night out, not been disappointed once, great starters, mains etc Ask your sides, naans,chapattis beautifully made, front of house very good and listens to how you want your food and the spice You need to try it at least once and then you might have found your go too curry place at a very reasonable price”

“If you want to experience traditional Pakistani food this is the place to go the meat masala on the bone and meat pilau is amazing and the roti is absolutely beautiful cheap prices best roti house in Bradford in my opinion its the closest to home made you can get”

“We went as a fam of 4. We ordered- Chaat mains and dessert. The ‘must order’ dishes are definitely Sev Puri, Papdi Chaat and the Parathay. I have to say every single plate of food that came to our table tasted home cooked and freshly made. The Saag parathay are to die for honestly! I can’t wait to go back for another one haha! Being a family run business as well- they can alter the food as you like it and deliver an amaazing experience. The husband and wife duo were very courteous, friendly and hospitable. This kind of food- the proper desi Punjabi food is hard to find in Bradford- it’s a must try!!”

“We attended today for Mary Poppins and thought let's have some lunch. Theatre food I thought okay we can always get something else later. How wrong I was, we had 3 courses and it was some of the best food I have ever tasted. Every course was what I would expect from a celebrity restaurant and when the bill came I was shocked in how little it cost. I would love to see the 1914 website showcase the chefs face and name as their food is phenomenal.”

“This is a impressive old building standing in immaculatey kept grounds. There are a range of restaurants holding AA rosettes up to Michelin star awards. We had lunch in Fletchers restaurant where the food and service was first class.”

“This stay was part of a road trip staying in similar ancient coaching inns. This one definitely had a more modern feel to it. The room was to a high standard and the bed was the comfiest on the trip. Breakfast was excellent. The bar is cosy and a nice place to pass a few hours. Car park was fun! But if you can get parked it is free. Great location. Staff were all great.”

“Was recommended by a friend so I thought I'd give it a try. I've been enjoying a curry for over 50 years in the heavy woolen area and I can honestly say it's one of the best takeaways I've had and I've tried quite a few. It reminds me of the Shama in Dewsbury I frequented in the 70s. I've had 5 from here and each meal was spot on. Top quality ingredients and generous portions. Well done Shama, my go to curry house from now on!”
