βthe staff were lovely drinks were amazing food was amazing loved it will be back. lydia made our iced coffees sheβs so sweet and lovely xxβ
β1) Beautiful setting on the beachfront. PLUS you can see the old derelict pier. 2) Staff are really friendly and make good recommendations (not just to get you to spend more!) 3) The food was delicious! Bonus point - as you can see the wine was really chilled which I love! C&Cβ
βVisited for the pub quiz as part of a social group. First time have been in and was a really great evening. Good mix of people, good atmosphere and drinks well priced. The pub quiz was fun. Best part was the host, she was really entertaining and sheβs a great front of house person. They seem to run quite a few social things so weβll definitely be back.β
βAmazing place! We arrived late on a random Wednesday evening with our kids and the staff were so friendly, gave us extras and just generally were awesome lovely people. We are eating our fish & chips on the beach right now as I type this, and the whole family agree it is delicious! Highly recommend : )β
βGorgeous aesthetics, calm yet upbeat funky atmosphere and most importantly great food with something catered for everyone Safe to say a new favourite place pricey but worth it definitely springs to mind perfect place for a date or a special occasion, booked up quickly and friendly staff. Nothing bad to say about it as it was very nice I was even recommend a better option from gentleman serving which I enjoyed a lot, even people cooking smiling and enjoying their jobs really nice atmosphere and a very enjoyable experience overall will return another evening, I even had my child and asked to use the restroom outside the front of the premises which they allowed at the time but when entering smelt the food and needed to sit down and try it and so glad I did. I'd been missing out on this little gem! Worth a visit! thank you.β
βClean spacious store, lots of choice, good prices. Great location in central Brighton.β
βOutstanding Restaurant I had the pleasure of dining here on a Friday evening. The first thing I was so impressed with the menu great choices for vegetarian and meat consumers alike. I started with scalops which I shared with my girlfriend and the portion was ample for two. Then I had pork belly. My girlfriend had the beef. Every mouthful of food was absolutely superb. The staff are friendly helpful and proactive. Even the drinks were first class. I cannot wait to return. Not overpriced tooβ
βIt hasn't got a Michelin star but what a lovely place. Overlooked by the majority and wrongly so. We'll worth a visit for the occasional fried breakfast, of which there is a great choice and good value. I went with my son and we were warmly welcomed so don't be put off if you think it's only for truckers. The coffee was good and I love coffee. Just like the figure that stands by the door - I'll be back.β
βThe Font is one of my favourite spots. The atmosphere is always chilled and welcoming, and the staff are brilliant. Harvey especially is an absolute star. Heβs always friendly, on the ball and just makes the whole experience better. You can tell he really cares about what he does. Honestly canβt recommend this place enough. Great drinks, good people, and top service.β
βReally lovely pub, feels very homely even when really busy. Close to the station and a great atmosphere every time I've beenβ
βBrilliant Italian food! A lovely restaurant, friendly staff and a great choice on the menu! Went here for my birthday and it was the best lunch. The lasagne was delicious and the fudge cake. Iβd definitely recommend! Itβs in a lovely part of Brighton.β
βReally liked this place. Came here on a Wednesday evening with booking a table beforehand. I would suggest you'd do the same as it was full for a Wednesday (always a good sign). We ordered drinks, two small plates and two large plates and it came out of the kitchen really quickly (we were eating main meal in the next 20-25 minutes). After that we decided to have a dessert and with that it took one whole hour to order, get the desserts, finish and pay. So the service was a bit slow in the end but nothing to complain about as they were really nice and friendly. I loved the food, fairly priced and loved the fresh ingredients. One thing that bothered me was the lamb's lettuce on everything. Could be at least flavored, or maybe not there at all? I loved the atmosphere of the place, pretty decor, nice music...somebody really thought this through. Overall a great experience and would definitely visit again.β
βAbsolutely amazing. Food was fresh, hot and crispy. Tasted beautiful. Staff were delightful and friendly and really enjoyed the time there. The place is clean and cozy. We sat downstairs but there is seating upstairs and outside. We already want to go back.β
βStopped in for a meal and was greeted by a lovely, welcoming team β the service here really adds to the experience. The ambience is relaxed but still feels special, with that fresh sea air right outside. The fish of the day was absolutely delicious β fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. The croquetas were a real highlight too: crisp on the outside, soft and rich inside. The potatoes wereβ¦ fine, nothing to write home about, but everything else more than made up for it. With a glass of wine each, we spent about Β£50 per person, which felt fair for the quality and location. Definitely worth a visit if you want fresh seafood in Brighton with friendly service and a nice setting.β
βWebt there during a visit to our relatives. A fine local pub. Cordial staff. Nice selection of beers and wines. Cozy indoors and lovely outdoors. We didn't try it, but the smell of Thai food was very tempting. The menu seemed very interesting. Will come back to sample it at some point.β
βVenesssa, Nakita, Denise were incredibly hospitable. Being from a a different county, these girls made us feel comfortable. They are great and lovely. I really appreciate going into a pub that actually cares about the patrons that walk in. Honestly. The best pub in Brightonβ
βAbsolutely wonderful place!! The food is veggie and vegan and it is incredible! The loaded fries with bacon jam were so good! The decor is so lovely, it's just such a warm and inviting place! Looking forward to being there on a live music night! :) The supervisor on shift, Kitty, was just so sweet and nice! :) will visit againβ
βPopped in for impromptu lunch and chat with a mate. Warm, jolly welcome. Beer (Long Man) very pleasant and nicely kept. Food was excellent (I had the gammon, egg and chips - nice piece of meat, plenty of it and very tasty, my friend had a burger). Both very happy with the food, service and ambiance. Decamped outside for a smoke, to the large, covered seating area (with booths and heaters); we were so comfy we stayed outside for the rest of our visit. In all we stayed about 4-5 hours.β
β"We stopped by for a Thai lunch deal and were pleasantly surprised! The food was absolutely deliciousβflavors were spot on and very enjoyable. The portion sizes might feel a little small, depending on your appetite (my wife found them a tad modest), but for me, they were just right. Overall, a lovely dining experience!"β
βHad very beautiful time and the bartender was very helpful with choosing my cocktail and cider~highly recommend!β
βOh my, the food at The Walrus was AMAZING. We all had a Monday roast, there was a half lemon &thyme chicken, roast pork belly, and a trio roast which had the chicken, pork and a thick tender slice of beef. We thought it might be quiet being a Monday but was surprised by how busy it was at 6.30pm Beer was good too Definitely recommendβ
βCame here for a roast with my closest friend and it was super. The atmosphere is bet linch at her finest with glamorous surroundings and animal prints. The roast we had was delicious. The girls who served us were delightful and couldnβt do enough for us. A gentlemen there also provided a bowl of water for our furry friend. Definitely worth visiting for a homemade meal.β
βBeautiful food, both in presentation and in taste. Just the right amount for a roast and everything on the plate was delicious and hot, nothing overcooked - really well put together roast. We had a chicken and a beef; other options available and also options for dietary requirements. Service was great to start but dropped off after we were served the roasts, so we ended up back at the bar to request bill. No biggy. It's a beautiful pub, warm and comfortable - very big family vibes on this Sunday we went, so if you're solo, or like us child free, bear that in mind; I rated 3/5 for atmosphere and that's entirely about personal preference not that the pub got anything wrong.β
βWent to the Tiger today for a very special funeral lunch. The service and food was exceptional. Staff were helpful but discretely so. The food was varied finger food and so delicious. We all appreciated their kindness. Thank youβ
βExcellent range menu Great relaxed atmosphere and staff are welcoming and provide an excellent service Great quality food, and value Lovely cafe, would highly recommendβ
βWe were in Eastbourne on a half term break and we came here for dinner. Wow, it was better than the big well known BBQ/American restaurants in London! Very good portions, food was freshly prepared and a great menu for adults and kids. Also, we were surprised how reasonable the bill was at the end for family of 4 and we ordered beers. Decor was fab and staff were lovely too. Would highly recommend and we would definitely go back when we are next in town.β
βBeyond the good choice of tasty food etc our visit was made exceptional by the outstanding high quality of service by Ellie. NOTHING was too much trouble - warm, friendly, genuine. A first class ambassador for hospitality standards!β
βService was fast and food delicious. Got 3 small tapas plates which was perfect for my appetite. I particularly loved the veggie quesadillas. Also got a free soft drink with it (tapas Tuesday). The veggie options are great and diverse. The ambience in the evening is great although the music a bit loud. Great for a meal with a friend!β
βGreat for showing sports on multiple screens and a game of "toad in the hole". Very friendly atmosphere..β
βI think this must be fairly new as I have no recollection of this pub / restaurant. Thomas Paine has strong local connections, unlike Casta and Madge. He helped inspire the American revolutionary war and almost lost his head in the French one. Silly so and so. I had another Harvey's Sussex best bitter. One of three real ales on my visit. Very good. Up steep stairs finds a roof terrace. Must be lovely on a warm sunny day / evening. Free wifi.β
