βIβve been going to Aaron for a number of years now and he is by far the best barber Iβve ever had. He is professional and always provides a top class service with incredible attention to detail. Heβs a top class bloke and an excellent barber. By far the best barber in Lewes!!β
βJust a lovely place to eat and relax in Lewes. Attentive and kind service, excellent food, a real local treasure. We chose fish fingers sandwich, Croque Monsieur and chicken poke. All were really good and very proudly presented to us. Well worth a visit.β
βSuch a lovely surprise! We were visiting Lewes and just wanting a nice cup of tea, and stumbled upon this lovely gem. The back room had a lovely tea service, including a small escape room game that can be played, great service, tasty scones. It did fill up quickly as only 4-5 tables in the back, so there could be a wait (but it is worth it!)β
βFrom the moment we walked in, the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The service was impeccable throughout our visitβfriendly without being overbearing, and always on hand just when you needed them. Itβs clear the team takes pride in creating a relaxed yet polished dining experience. The food lived up to every expectation. Fresh, vibrant ingredients shine in every dish, from the beautifully presented starters to the generous mains. To top it all off, dessert was a true indulgence, a perfect end to the meal.β
βGreat little store. Very helpful staff and they usually have stock of the items that you want. Staff also very good and help with a "have you got a thing that does this?" type queries.β
βMassive thank you to the staff at the Lewes branch. Today they went above and beyond for me today in my hour of need. Exceptionally great team. Thanks all.β
βWe had our sons first birthday at the kings head on a busy Saturday 1pm for 20 people and a few kids, they were so accommodating and went out their way to make the party perfect. All staff were super helpful and welcoming and Ollie was great. Really recommend this cosy pub for a party or just for drinks.β
βGood qualit Great takeaways and conveniemt for picnicks.β
βMainly a takeaway, but they kindly & happily arranged the table for us to eat in. Service was quick, food delicious, very good value & service couldn't have been better! It's obviously very popular with locals & rightly so imo. Would definitely go again.β
βVery lovely organic cafΓ© and shop with coffee/tea/juice, homemade pastries and a well chosen selection of organic and sugarfree products. Relaxed place, high quality food and the friendliest owner. Lovvve it!!!β
βZiggy's has an incredible range of food for my cat, Trudy, and, best of all, Kim and her staff are always incredibly helpful and friendly. I highly recommended them!β
βThis is a great place to bring the kids for lunch. They have delicious ice creams. Also the portions are good sized. Itβs not expensive at all and itβs quite tasty. The people are quite nice, accommodating and really friendly. Itβs right in the park and next to the paddling pool so the kids can have loads of fun here, you can really spend the day, and have loads of fun recommended.β
βWe had a lovely evening at Squisito. Wonderful food, friendly staff and all round great experienceβ¦ we run a local business too so like to support other locals! Great place - thank youβ
βExcellent food, drinks and service. Really nice ambience. Highly recommended.β
βThis is by far the best and most authentic Thai food I have experienced in the UK! My wife is half Thai and has lived there and even she was amazed at some of the dishes available here that we haven't found anywhere else except Thailand itself. Its a BYOB, which we didn't mind at all. There is a corkage fee but it wasn't over the top by any means. The staff were lovely and were very quick to accommodate anything we asked for, including things like providing small bowls so we could share a larger soup like a starter and other random requests. If you are a fan of Asian food or especially Thai food and can get over to this restaurant I cannot recommend it enough! The venue is small, however, so it's best to book in advance as there's no guarantee you could get a table otherwise.β
βSince my first review 2 years ago. I'm really pleased to see how this place has developed. The meals aren't huge, but just right for lunch. The homemade burgers are seasonal flavours. Their Christmas nut burger was a delightful mix of flavours and textures. The loaded fries with vegan cheese and red onion chutney was delicious.β
βWent here to watch one of the film that was on during the week (Urchin) and had a wonderful experience. Very smooth process from booking online, arriving and interacting with very friendly staff. Then the actual theatre. Absolutely comfortable 10/10. Very clean environment; comfortable seating; and the sound system was perfect. Literally had a better movie experience here than I did at a much larger operated cinema 2 days prior.β
βShared a range of starters with my friend, great portion sizes and particular standout was the Tzatziki. Main couldβve done with more seasoning but I would go back to try other mains. Halloumi is out of this world - definitely recommend. Overall a lovely experience and would recommend.β
βExcellent pub, great British food done well. Great pint of Harveyβs and wonderful atmosphere. Exactly what was needed after a day walking in the South Downs. Was only in the area for a couple days but would make effort to revisit in the future.β
βYou want ale, you wsnt lots of ales, you want locals to chat to you, you don't want Sky sports distraction, you want character, you want small pub, you want a proper slice of English hospitality.....you got all these at the Gardeners. And it is reasonably priced too...I only popped in for a half and hours later left. Plenty of well kept ales.β
βBrilliant service from start to finish - Brendon gave a variety of recommendations for the mattress with different levels of hard/softness and allowed us to try in store. We ended up ordering a King-Size Ottoman bedframe and mattress, which Brendon kindly installed himself. It was exactly as described and super comfortable! The price was far more competitive than anywhere else we looked. Highly recommended!β
βSuch an enchanting shop. Beautiful displays. Lovely stock selection. Friendly & helpful staff. I will keep returning.β
βWonderful B&B in a quiet location offering great value for money. Really enjoyed our stay here, a warm welcome from the owners upon our arrival, the room had a beautiful view over the garden and field behind - We were given a map to keep of the local area and an ice cold bottle of water for the room. Tea & coffee was also available in the room. Bramble barn was a medium walk to town, maybe 15-20 minutes. Breakfast was excellent and very generous - freshly cooked to order, with vegetarian options that could easily be tweaked to a vegan cooked breakfast if required. I would 100% stay again!β
βJust had the most amazing haircut by Poppy! Was able to get a last minute hair appointment today and I couldnβt fault the salon. Lovely service, such attentive staff and a great haircut, thanks so much!β
βI look forward to every appointment at Esthetic. The whole team are always so welcoming and I always leave happy. Charlotte and Chaland have created a really special place that Lewes is so lucky to have.β
βHannah and the other lovely lady today at the Coffee shop were so friendly and the coffee and pastries were amazing. Really made my day thank you .β
βBeyond the good choice of tasty food etc our visit was made exceptional by the outstanding high quality of service by Ellie. NOTHING was too much trouble - warm, friendly, genuine. A first class ambassador for hospitality standards!β
βService was fast and food delicious. Got 3 small tapas plates which was perfect for my appetite. I particularly loved the veggie quesadillas. Also got a free soft drink with it (tapas Tuesday). The veggie options are great and diverse. The ambience in the evening is great although the music a bit loud. Great for a meal with a friend!β
βGreat for showing sports on multiple screens and a game of "toad in the hole". Very friendly atmosphere..β
βI think this must be fairly new as I have no recollection of this pub / restaurant. Thomas Paine has strong local connections, unlike Casta and Madge. He helped inspire the American revolutionary war and almost lost his head in the French one. Silly so and so. I had another Harvey's Sussex best bitter. One of three real ales on my visit. Very good. Up steep stairs finds a roof terrace. Must be lovely on a warm sunny day / evening. Free wifi.β
