“Very happy with the solid oak picture shelf from Shelfdirect. It is good quality and was easy to install with the fittings provided. I needed them to hold off on delivery as we were going to be away, and they were very helpful with the request. It’s also nice to have someone at the end of the phone these days; they were pleasant and helpful to talk to. I wouldn’t hesitate using them in the future.”

“Stopped by this place while venturing around ‘The Lanes’ with my partner and a friend and what an amazing find (even worth a visit for the coffee alone!) The staff were extremely welcoming and attentive and really made our morning. We only stopped for coffee but decided to stay for breakfast after looking at the menus, our friend opted for the Islas Breakfast which looked amazing (lovely bit of sausage), my partner went for the No Meat Breakfast; both would have given me food envy had my Hash not been so tasty! The food arrived quickly and nothing was too much to ask of the staff. Definitely a little gem and we will definitely be returning!”

“Had a takeaway from here a few nights ago, staff were very friendly and answered all questions with a smile. I had a large cod and chips and the fish was well cooked and the batter was crispy and not at all soggy or greasy, my wife had the cod nuggets, which were large chunks of fresh fish in the same crispy batter. Great fish and chips, I would highly recommend!”

“We came here for brunch as we had our dog with us and we needed somewhere that was dog-friendly. The ladies working there are super friendly and our order was taken quickly. The food came quickly and was well-cooked it didn't have excess grease and the portion size was great.”

“Genuinely maybe the best 3 course meal I've ever had, booked the function room for a surprise 30th and was genuinely unbelievable. We had Riccardo (might be slightly wrong) but couldn't have asked for any more. It is slightly on the more expensive side but one million % worth it if you want the full experience. “First time ever to an Ivy restaurant and it was fantastic. Greeted warmly at the door and taken straight to our table. Our waiter was lovely, he was charismatic and friendly. The restaurant was fully booked and the atmosphere was great. Now the food- one of the best meals I have ever had. Scallops and soup to start and they were happy to accommodate my fussy eating with the starter. Mains were sea bass and flat iron chicken and we couldn’t fault it. Great value for money considering the high quality food and service provided. Thank you”

“Fantastic experience at Spice Tandoori. What an underrated spot. The type of place you drive past 100 times and think to visit but don’t, then when you do you think ‘why have I never come here?!’. Traditional curry house, white table clothes, smartly dressed waiters and most importantly wonderful cuisine. I will be back!”

“Reservation online was super easy. We had a lovely lunch with amazing food. Our fish was fresh and dessert very indulgent. We've sampled most of the menu recently with various visits. Staff are welcoming and friendly, service is always great. Good range of drinks available, and simple but delicious menu. Proper pub grub! The inerior is tastefully decorated, a lovely garden and a hugely popular teepee for rainy days at the rear. We'll visit again soon.”

“Love this place. It isn't cheap but the food and service are great and it has a buzz to the place and nice ambience. Staff are friendly, helpful and guide you on what to eat or how to have it cooked. They also check if anyone has allergies which is great. Dessert was huge and decent choices. Only downside, toilets... they let the place down.”

“One of the most exceptional restaurants in Brighton. The quality of the cuisine is always my top priority when I dine at a restaurant, and this one is truly exceptional. Every dish, from Falafel to Mixed Kabob to Tagine Lamb, was bursting with flavor. During our conversation with Mr. Sabri, we discovered that the spices are meticulously selected and prepared at home. The quality of the ingredients is essential in any culinary endeavor. The aroma is genuinely detectable. And most importantly, the chef has acquired the ability to cook and is meticulous about the quality of his food. He does not just combine spices and serve a cuisine. He loves what he does and it reflects in his dishes. Mr. Sabri's hospitality is what truly distinguishes him, as it is exceedingly warm. It never felt as though we were dining in a restaurant; rather, it was as though we were dining at home.”

“Absolutely amazing nail salon! These were my birthday nails I got done by Claudia and the service was amazing! She was very nice and she was being with precise when shaping my nails and painting french tips and the salon is clean and hygienic and I recommend going to this salon to do nail extensions which uses poly gel and these nails held for a month and used best quality products to keep my nails healthy!”

My family loves the food and they always say there is never a single fault! This restaurant deserves more than 5 stars, it’s our absolute favourite! “Outstanding by every measure. The picture of a self-made success, from the story printed on the menu to seeing the owner come through the door with groceries - she even came to chat for a bit, an absolutely charming lady. I ordered huge fried king prawns on a bed of rice. The portion was massive, prawns were plentiful and delicious, perfect crisp and taste. Rice was sweet and mixed with prawn bits perfectly. Others at ther table ordered all sorts, noodles and rice and vegetables each, and all of them were hugely portioned, delicious, and kept us fed the whole day. I can't believe how lucky I am to have this place so close to my house.”

“Just to highlight the excellence service - Spice I Am is our favourite takeaway and the food is always excellent. On this occasion they got our order wrong with one of the curries and i didn't see when i collected - we tried what they had sent but it was too hot. So i rang them and explained and they apologised and had the replacement delived to us without a fuss. Can't praise them highly enough”
