“Reserved space here for a birthday celebration and had a fantastic afternoon. A perfect Brighton pub, relaxed vibes, bright spaces, great music, nice Thai food menu, a really good beer selection including gluten free and alcohol free options on tap. Friendly and chilled staff add to the easy going but thoroughly enjoyable atmosphere. It felt a really inclusive and friendly pub and was clearly popular with Brighton and Hove locals. Good for kids as well during the day.”

“Was a bit dubious when we first arrived as not a great deal of kerb appeal. Once inside, this changed dramatically and was greatly surprised how fab it was! Staff was friendly and the food was well portioned and tasty. The milkshakes are great!”

I have several gorgeous hoodies and a jumper from them, they are washing well and give me that feel good feeling of a special garment every time I wear them. I love it that they are a bit different and have that cool Brighton vibe. Can’t wait to get another garment soon!”

“The Gladdy is back !!! After the long awaited dismissal of the last manager, ( what a nobber !!) (who definitely didn't understand how to run this bastion of old school brighton pubs ) it is now under new management and what a breath of fresh air !! this place is banging once more. Great staff, regular gigs, music and real punters !! And now open past 9:00pm !! One of the best pubs in Brighton !! Always great gigs. See ya there !!! P.s. Don't vote tory, Not my king x”

“Good experience! Stopped by for a quick pint and a light snack. Daniel greeted us warmly and even offered to describe the beers if we had any questions. We ordered a fish pie, which was hearty and delicious. Thank you Pump House!”

“I ordered Shawerma and lamb grilled plater with hummos and yoghurt and Chips with salad on side, it was delicious i enjoyed the meal, salad was fresh, Shawerma and lamb were Juicyyyy loved the service inside the restaurant, they were fast, very respectful and understanding, they even asked me if i have any allergies before ordering!!”

“I ordered them off deliveroo and I was so pleasantly surprised. It's authentic and just so flavourful. I went for the spicy papaya salad and it was so spicy so good I just can't believe I found this place in Brighton. Also they got the BEST tom yum absolutely not a doubt there.”

“10/5 stars. Best burger in a 3 mile radius. Edit 5 years later (3/4/23). Best food that you can get delivered in the whole city. The owner is so nice. Tonight I ordered for collection, little did I know that the sausage was missing from my order, he ran along the street calling after me to ensure I received my order. I've been a customer for many years and have never had a bad experience.”

It's probably not the biggest portion I've got, but it was delicious and both chilli and peanuts came in separate little bags, which is really great, I could regulate the level of spice. “Just had a brilliant and kind experience. We bought the cheese burger for my son and there was burger relish on it which upset my son as he wasn’t expecting and didn’t like it so he refused to eat. I nervously asked the chef for a replacement because my son is autistic and refused to eat it. He immediately said ‘say no more - I totally understand’ and cooked us a fresh plain burger. We are so grateful and my son was so happy. It tastes great too!! Thank you for helping us all avoid a meltdown!”

“We absolutely love this place! The food is always delicious, and the service is fantastic. Kelly goes above and beyond to make every customer happy — she’s a star. The only downside is the drinks selection — it’s a bit disappointing that they don’t serve fresh orange juice. For a lovely spot that’s perfect for Sunday brunch, you’d expect fresh juice rather than canned or bottled. Other than that, it’s a great place overall!”
