βOrdered a takeaway, absolutely delicious! We had a few different options between the group and every single dish was divine. We went to collect too and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming when I walked in!β
βReally nice food, Pizza Hut is always a nice treat to have. The Portland road branch has improved over the years. The delivery driver was polite and friendly tonight, credit to the store.β
βWhat a fantastic place, I spent new years eve here with my friends, the atmosphere was spot on, everyone was so welcoming, the dj line up was quality. Thanx for having usβ€β
βAtmosphere- 5/5 Drinks-5/5 Food-4.9/5 Service- 5/5 Having Dinner at Ollie's was the best decision me and my friend made to close our day trip to Brighton, before heading back home to London!!! I cannot fault anything that we ordered. From the fragrant Rice and Peas, to the Fresh Salad and Coleslaw to the Creamy Mac and Cheese. The chicken was cooked to perfection, very well seasoned and fell off the bone effortlessly. Blown away!!! I have been to many and I mean mannnyyyy restaurants and takeaways that sale Caribbean food. Rarely anyone ever gets the whole menu right. Ollie's is a definite Top Contender in my TOP 5! When I'm in Brighton again I will definitely be eating here again.β
βGreat restaurant. Delicious food. The cheese parfait and pistachio-mango desert were amazingβ
βWeβve just had a great meal tonight! Everything was perfect and itβs one of the better authentic and affordable curry houses weβve been too, especially in Brighton where prices can get a little steep! They looked after us from start to finish, but mainly, the food was great :) The chutney tray was extensive, with a few extra options compared to usual which was nice. The mains and sides were all very flavoursome and not overly oily. The chapati and mushroom rice were okay, but completely outshone by the chicken tikka which was sizzling and very moist, and the Chana saag which was delicious. The korma was a little sweet, but heavy on coconut which was lovely. All in all, this was cracking!β
βA very warm welcome set the tone of tasteful dishes and a lovely atmosphere. I ordered a veggie chart, butter chicken with boiled rice, yoghurt and side salad. Very filling and fresh. Pavel was sincere, kind and genuine. You could feel the passion in the service. Will definitely visit again.β
βBest prawn pad Thai in Brighton! Really delicious, generous portion, prawns were big and fresh tasting. Mother in law had recently had dental surgery and was unable to eat solid foods but wanted to go out, our waitress was so kind and accommodating. She brought out a piece of tofu so she could see if it was soft enough! MIL had Tom Ka without any solids and it was so so delicious - will definitely order this when we next come (with all the usual fixings) Thank you so much for such a lovely dinner !β
βOrdered delivery for the first time from this place. Fast delivery, tasty food. The satay sauce is really good! Will be ordering from here again.β
βConsistent tasty food. Authentic Hong Kong menu and very reasonable prices. If you like sweet and sour HK style or roasted pork or duck etc youβll love it here. Other dishes are great too! Staff are attentive and polite and food is served quickly, hot and fresh! Definitely has the ιζ°£!β
βPopped in for dinner as a treat after a busy day. Food was really lovely - probably the nicest Wimpy Iβve had - and the staff were super nice and friendly (I had the OG quarter pounder meal followed by a Wimpy Whirl). Thank you so much!β
βGreat trendy local Italian restaurant. Authentic fresh Italian ingredients and very reasonable prices. Good selection of drinks including cocktails and craft beer. The pasta is made at the premises and both the pasta dishes we had were excellent, fresh and well balanced in terms of flavour. We will certainly come again to try the pizza which looked amazing. The service by what seems to be a mainly Italian team was very friendly. Highly recommended.β
βIβve been to The Grenadier Pub a few times now, and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the food is pretty good value for money β generous portions, tasty, and fairly priced. The staff really make the difference here. Kiera always greets you with a big smile and delivers excellent customer service β friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Hallam is also a pleasure to deal with β always polite, professional, and helpful, adding to the great experience. Itβs the kind of place where you feel looked after and appreciated as a customer. Highly recommend if you're looking for a chilled spot with good food and great service. Iβll definitely be back!β
βWent for a spare of the moment lunch with with my two children today, they had a great choice of food and the childrens menu was also devent quality food too. Another huge plus was that didnt break the bank either. My son has a PEG which he feeds through if he doesnt eat orally, I realised I had forgotten my portable blender, asked the pub on the off chance if they could blend up his meal and they did without any hesitation. They even offered to package up the left overs. Lovely little garden, lots of seating also available inside too where it was nice and cool. They also have a little toy/kids corner which kept the kids entertained before eating. Will definitely be eating there again! Thank you so much for being accommodating to my sons needs.β
βVisited on Sunday 14th December 2025 at around 5.30pm and ended up waiting about 40 minutes for the drinks to be served and then a further 1hour for our food to come, the steak was not very hot and very chewy. The place was not very busy and the staff were struggling to cope the 2 waitresses Maxie and Mia were the only saving grace and tried their best to appease the situation. The resturant needs more staff both in the kitchen and in the resturantβ
βThe food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Everything was fresh, well-cooked, and nicely presented. The portion sizes were generous, and the taste exceeded expectations. Overall, it was a very satisfying meal and definitely worth trying again.β
βHad a lovely visit here, there were plenty of tables available and we got to choose where to sit. The welcome was friendly, the menu was great, the service was attentive and not crowding. The whole place was lovely clean and tidy and the food was served quickly and tasted fabulous!...β
βA great teadional Italian restaurant situated at the heart of The Lanes, so you can spend the day shopping and the chill and eat. Excellent food at a reasonable price. Warm and welcoming and lost of space so you should always be able to find a table. Pasta is made fresh daily. They also do a two course of three course special menu which is very good value. Nice selection of wines. Can't fault it.β
βVery tasty Sunday roast! Well decorated pub, clean with views to the sea. Good portions, well cooked and plenty of veggies. Amazing cauliflower/broccoli cheese. Good drink selection (and non alcoholic drinks available too). Quite busy on Sunday so better to book it to ensure a place. Service is 10 out of 10.β
βI've been there yesterday (19/01) for the second time, this time with a friend who is even pickier than me... And again! Nothing to complain. The food was amazing, it is a family run business and you can feel the love and attention they put into it. We had lahmcum and Adana kofte. Besides the great food, the place is clean and well decorated - a nice atmosphere. They have a wooden oven which makes the total difference. After moving from London it was a great relief to find a proper Turkish restaurant in Brightonβ
βThank you so much to Sadie and the rest of the team for coordinating our booking. Having somebody to help with organising our party took a lot of the pressure off of planning and we had a fabulous time. I especially loved the interactive darts and the wines. We had a big booking and were very well looked after from start to finish, and I really appreciated the check-ins on what we needed leading up to the event. Thanks team- we will definitely be back again!β
βWe were pleasantly surprised by the service, the accommodating decisions made by the managers, and the attentive care from our server, Jasmine, during our Christmas get-together last night. Even though we had a few last-minute cancellations, the team kindly compensated us with extra time in the private area, along with complimentary shots and food. After our meal, they reserved a table for us in the live lounge where we enjoyed a great DJ set. As expected in a lively venue, a few glasses and bottles were broken, but the staff were quick and attentive in cleaning everything up. The bouncers communicated well with the servers, which helped keep the night running smoothly. Overall, a great experienceβwould definitely recommend to others.β
βLovely cafe with great ambience and atmosphere. The staff are really friendly and nice. It got a warm welcoming vibe and feels like a family and friendly place where everyone knows everyone. The coffees are excellent same as italian coffees strong and flavoured. Really good quality coffees. They have a variety of food like pastries cooked fresh in store, cakes and toasties paninis. It got outdoor seating and sliding windows which gives a fresh breeze while enjoying coffee from indoors and next to the sea and close to all the shopping stores and high street.β
βJust had the Special Meal Deal for 2 for Β£30, fabulous food at outstanding value. Highly recommendβ
βThe oldest gay bar in Brighton. Mainly men 40+ Busiest on Sat eve's. Friendly bar staff. Doesn't serve food.β
βHave been using this place for 7 years now and not once had a bad meal, I would highly recommend this place for a banging Chinese.β
βFirst time trying this place, It was really lovely food that wasn't at all stodgy or oily. Food was really good portion size and delicious. thank youβ
βOrdered a meal for 20 on a Sunday lunchtime, arrived exactly on time. The food was as tasty as ever and well received by everyone. Thanks Againβ
βBeen here a couple of times and the food is always fab. They have redecorated since we were last here and it looks great. Service is good and staff really nice and chatty. Such good value on the set menus. We stay in the hotel across from it each year and so ideal as we prefer Asian to pub food. Will be back next year. Only downside on this visit was that it closed at 7pm which meant eating earlier than we normally would. I guess out of season times.β
βGreat atmosphere, friendly staff and sub of the day is just the cherry on top of it. Would 11/10 recommend it to my friends. Also one of the last subways to offer cookie / crisps, and a cup drink instead of those 5My Fruit stuff with Kids Paks. Really good! Never going to those low-end ones in town center againβ
