“Excellent pub and the best in Hove by a long way. The selection and quality of real ales is outstanding. The atmosphere is warm, friendly and relaxed. The sports screens are a huge plus for a rugby/cricket fan like myself. I've only eaten at the Blind Busker twice in the three years that I've been going there so I can't really comment on the food. A very clean establishment with good decor. Amy and her team are spot on with their hospitality...and they always remind me about my real ale loyalty card (buy 6 & get a 7th free). If you are nearby on the day then give this pub a visit, I'd be surprised if you were disappointed .”
“At The Roastery, there’s a cup that stops you in your tracks. Green Monkey. Dark, rich, and a little wild. Bitter chocolate running deep, velvet on the tongue, a roast that tastes like coffee the way coffee should be— no frills, just heaven in a cup. Sip it slow, or let it jolt you awake. Either way, it’s the best.”
“I’ve been coming to this Taj for many many years buying lots of exotic fruits and veg. I also use the London Road branch and always find the quality to be top draw. Today I met the owner and have to say what an absolute gent. He went out of his way to ask me if I needed any help getting my shopping in my car (I had a trolley full of onion bags) and also asked if there was enough of what I required. I also watched him interact with several other customers and they all seemed very fond of him. Great business and superb management!”
“Food was absolutely amazing, went in for my mates 50th. Instantly the lady was welcoming and friendly. Service was great, and then when our food arrived I was blown away by the flavours, it was definitely the best Chinese we’ve ever had. Everyone left feeling happy. They even brought out a dessert for the birthday boy, and topped off with a shot. Thank you we will be back”
“The salad bar is my favorite. I appreciate the wide selection of vegetables with several sauces to choose from. I also recommend the pizzas; there are eight varieties to choose from, and they are delicious. Drinks and desserts are not included in the price and need to be purchased separately. Very kind, friendly service.”
“Lovely little pub positioned at the top end of Rottingdean. The decor is great and has a comfortable feeling about it. It also has a lovely pub garden. Great food menu choices. There is also a great selection of beers and wine. I can personally recommend the Sunday roast it was excellent. Service was excellent and attentive. Highly recommended.”
“Incredible restaurant serving authentic greek food. Ordered for takeaway and it was fantastic, my favourite being the courgette fritters with the feta dip. 10/10 would recommend”
“Ibrahim served me and was very patient and kind when I couldn't decide what to eat. He recommended the chicken thigh wrap which I got as a to go order. Food was very tasty and flavourful. I got the medium hot sauce which was spicy enough for me. Seating was plentiful and clean. Definitely coming here again!”
“Great chicken burger, we’ve ordered grilled one and was delicious, full of flavour; there are vegetarian options too! you will need to order fries separately, and there is sweet potato ones, they are my favourite. Great service and very central in the heart of North lanes!”
“Definitely a go to. A nice atmosphere and well decorated making it feel homely. Staff are brilliant and have a cracking sense of humour a great place to have a drink and a laugh. Karaoke on a Saturday which is great always a fun night! Quiz on a Sunday a great way to end the week. Will always return ☺️”
“Lovely pub with a great atmosphere. I had the mushroom chilli which was very very nice.”
“Great Rock Oriented bar to find in the centre of Brighton. There are not enough of these venues left and if you are into rock you should support these types of bar at any opportunity! A large range of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages available, friendly atmosphere, with great staff!”
“Great ice creams me and my son were left feeling very happy after our experience with the lawns cafe! Special shout out to Alice who had great serving skills.”
“Best coffee and cakes in the area with Nasiba’s lovely service. I’ll definitely come and breath this positive atmosphere again soon.”
“If art deco decor and floor to ceiling bay windows to die for are your thing, then Paskins Town House is the spot for you. My partner and I have stayed here numerous times over the years and we just love the laid back vibe, every room we have stayed in has been clean and well looked after and hosts are so friendly and welcoming. I couldn't recommend Paskins anymore!”
“Reliable family pub who always keep the prices reasonable. They were also so brilliant during covid with the outdoor spaces.”
“I love this shop. I used to go to Yum Yums in the lanes for my ketchip manis, a culinary necessity in my house! And I can't find it in Maidstone. But it doesn't open early enough for school drop off.. Sorry, guys! I stumbled upon Yun Feng Foods last month and was pleasantly surprised by the range, considering the size of the shop. The cost of everything has gone up everywhere but I still find the prices reasonable for the quality of the goods. Their range of frozen dim sum dumplings and steamed Buns is awesome. And whilst they may not have as many products as the larger stores, I always find everything I want, and more! But please don't phone asking questions in English and then call them rude for not being able to respond. This is an Asian store with Asian products and staff. The young lady is always very helpful and friendly. Have a wander in, I'm sure you'll be as pleasantly surprised as I was.”
“One of the best Indian tea I had ever in the UK prepared by the very amazing Anu”
“I was there in 2019 doing my master degree I had breakfast here just so amazing. I like how the owner families working together serving their customers with great service mind and I can tell they are doing it with passion and by heart ❤️. I'll definitely be back to visit this place again.”
“I absolutely love this place. Friendly owners and drivers. Great quality hot food everything. The salt and pepper mix box is plenty enough for 2 people if you just want a good mix but all of their food is good tbh. Better than other local take aways .”
“Was down from South Wales and my mum always raves about this Chinese. The owners are friendly and always look after my mum. Food was ordered at the counter and after some friendly rapport the food came out. Got home and everything was roasting hot and very tasty. Would recommend as all people were happy.”
“Found this to be the most authentic Thai in Brighton/Hove area. We had a takeaway that was full of flavour, we really enjoyed it. Thank you!”
“Always such lovely service and the quality of food for such a cheap price always makes kudos our choice for dinner and living so close means we end up here often - thank you it’s always so delicious”
“I would like to thank this amazing Turkish restaurant for their exceptional service and dedication. I made a mistake with my order, and they were incredibly attentive and made sure to refund my money without any hesitation. This truly reflects their professionalism and respect for their customers. My heart grows with gratitude for such hardworking and honest people. I highly recommend this restaurant, not only for the quality of their food but also for their high ethics and outstanding service. Thank you so much!”
“Went during dinner time Had kung pao chicken, pickled cabbage fish soup and saliva chicken The owner is friendly ! Efficient service, the kung pao chicken is truly the best for me for overall flavor. Good price for the amount of food you get Will come back to try other dishes”
“It is a good takeaway shop for our family. We love Chinese food and this was perfect. Service was quick and when the food arrived it was still fresh.”
“Just be aware they take cash or bank transfer, but the food is very good and worth it. A little oily but that's normal with Chinese food. A wide variety of options and comfortable seating while you wait.”
“A beautiful park, a perfect setting for armistice day. A time to remember.”
“Everything was very good. It was easy to check in, the room was clean and fresh, so were the beds and towels. We had a TV, tea and coffee facilities, a good shower, also an extra heater if it was chilly and even a hair dryer. It was very good value for money and the lady who met us on arrival was very friendly. The location was excellent we had a coffee shop and a pub plus lots of shops at one end of the street and a five minute walk to the beech at the other end. There was lots of independent eateries and bars within a short walk. We were also only about a 10 or 15 minute walk from the Royal Pavilion and the Museum or the Lanes and the shops. It was also on a very good bus route.”
“Regional Chinese food from the north of the country. The cuisine was very different to the fare from a standard Chinese restaurant in Britain. We had Haggis soup(!), Chinese burger, tomato and beef frisked and Braised Pork meal (which wasn’t on the menu but we asked for it because the woman next to us was eating it and it looked delicious - and it was). All of it was great.”
