“Beautiful food, both in presentation and in taste. Just the right amount for a roast and everything on the plate was delicious and hot, nothing overcooked - really well put together roast. We had a chicken and a beef; other options available and also options for dietary requirements. Service was great to start but dropped off after we were served the roasts, so we ended up back at the bar to request bill. No biggy. It's a beautiful pub, warm and comfortable - very big family vibes on this Sunday we went, so if you're solo, or like us child free, bear that in mind; I rated 3/5 for atmosphere and that's entirely about personal preference not that the pub got anything wrong.”

“What a beautiful cafe and bar, to view all the wonderful cats (my favourite was Fifi so stoic and statue-like). The staff were friendly and made sure we knew all about the kitties and gave us treats to give to them. We had some cocktails which were very nice and some focaccia which was warm and crispy (yum). Would recommend if you love cats and observing their funny behaviour, very chill!”

“Restaurant - Tulsi, my ideal South Asian restaurant for a fortnightly takeaway. Having a fast pace lifestyle, this restaurant makes my day effortless, by ordering in a delivery or picking up a takeaway. Staff - The Restauranter, General Manager and the staff are hospitable, welcoming and always exchanging pleasantries. The Chef does a wonderful job and caters well to the preparation of my meals. Food & Beverage - I ordered the Badsha King Prawn dish, hallelujah! It's supreme. The prawns are buttery, with a interflow of exotic aromatic spices and oriental soya sauce. With this dish, I have lemon rice or cheese nan with a green salad, and Bhaji or Papadom on the side. Overall, I have been a loyal customer for nearly a decade, I appreciate the experiences and the culinary arts of Tulsi is spectacular. “Ok. Let’s start saying that I went to this place with very little expectation to find Sicilian street food, contrary wise this place exceeded my expectations. A precious little place in duke street that stand out for all the competitors in the street. I went safe for coffee and cake and it was ever so good that I decided to have an arancino al pistacchio after, and I was literally transported to Sicily with the flavours of the food. At the exit I managed to compliment myself with Davide the owner of the place, which was exquisite. His passion is clearly expressed into the food and the attention to details. I would not hesitate to come back for a coffee and cake, quick or long lunch, an aperitivo or a nice traditional unique Sicilian meal out. Ideal for everyone, from kids to adult and wheelchair friendly with ground floor access and tables. The unpretentiousness of this place makes it ideal for a solo meal as well as a romantic date to impress. Sicilian typical product also available to buy at the counter....not to be missed the “Crema al pistacchio”. In conclusion, this place is a must go either if you are Italian or not, and you will easily spot why is second to none. So far the best “arancini” in Brighton.”

“A true cafe in a world of cafés. Good food, slightly uncomfortable seats, outdated decor amazing garden. A last frontier of a dying breed of real seaside cafes couldn't recommend more.”

“Dropped into Café Coho in Brighton just before closing, and despite it being near the end of the day, the welcome was still warm and friendly — no sense of being hurried out the door. I ordered a strong flat white, and it was exactly what I needed: rich, full-bodied, and clearly made with care, even that close to closing time. The café itself has a clean, stylish feel without trying too hard — relaxed but with attention to detail. The staff were attentive and polite, and there was a sense that they genuinely cared about the quality of both the coffee and the customer experience. It’s easy for some places to switch off as the shutters go down, but not here. That level of consistency says a lot. I’ll absolutely be back again when I'm next in the area, whether it's for a slow sit-down or another quick pick-me-up. Highly recommend if you’re after proper coffee and a professional, no-fuss service in central Brighton.”

“I have visited a number of times over the past 5-6 years. I can safely say that I have never been disappointed. The food is authentic and fresh and the lovely lady who runs the restaurant is always so attentive and generous. There is no other Chinese restaurant I would rather go to with my friends and family. Reasonable prices for great portion sizes too! Thank you always!”

“The Font is one of my favourite spots. The atmosphere is always chilled and welcoming, and the staff are brilliant. Harvey especially is an absolute star. He’s always friendly, on the ball and just makes the whole experience better. You can tell he really cares about what he does. Honestly can’t recommend this place enough. Great drinks, good people, and top service.”

“We stopped in here for a quick bite to eat. They have a self service kiosk where you can browse the menu, order and pay for your food. I found this really convenient. I ordered the loaded chilli fries which tasted really good. The fruits were light and fluffy sand the hot sauce had a kick to it. We didn't have to wait long for our food and we would eat here again.”

“My partner and I took a chance and entered this venue which was surprisingly quiet. The menu had brunch items which were appealing. We chose our table, the decor was really cool, servers were exceptionally friendly and when the food came out, it was excellent. Reasonably priced and great quality. Served with a smile. “I've been visiting Sky High Fish Bar since childhood, and it remains a standout. The family-run establishment is always welcoming, offering delicious food with impressive efficiency. It's also very affordable, especially compared to other fish and chip shops in the area. A large cod and chips costs just £10, which is fantastic value. The current staff are lovely and provide excellent service. I highly recommend Sky High Fish Bar.”

“OMG !! Why can’t I leave 6 stars ??? Anna, Lauren and the team absolutely Smashed Christmas out of the park…..AGAIN !!! The children getting to see the reindeer and Santa Claus was so special. Memories that will last a lifetime were made and we as a family can’t Thankyou enough for how special it has made Christmas. Please please do this again next year. “Had a lovely evening at pizza express being served by the lovely Paulina! She was bubbly and attentive, helping us sort out issues with the app and so we were able to utilize the deals available. Manager Jim helped us out too, and was confident and reassured us we would get everything we wanted, and we did! Food was great, came out super speedy, thank you chefs!”

“I recently moved to the area and have now ordered from Spice Lounge twice in the last 10 days or so. The food is top quality and the Chicken Dhansak I order is as good, if not better, than I've had anywhere....I moved here from London and have been to India many, many times so I don't say that lightly. Abdul is also a very nice fella and when I arrived after trying to order in advance online (network issues) he still gave me the 20% discount and extra poppadums. Jabel, who was helping out, was also a nice friendly bloke. People with this great approach to customers combined with quality food deserve to have a thriving business. Excellent!”

“I had the chicken shish at Nayeb Kebab House and it was honestly incredible. The chicken was tender, perfectly seasoned and cooked with so much flavour that you can taste the care that goes into it. The whole place has such a warm, welcoming feel, and the staff were genuinely friendly from the moment I walked in. It’s rare to find somewhere that gets both the food and the atmosphere this right. An amazing experience all round. I’ll always be back.”

“Lovely refurb of the Palmiera! Lovely and fresh with some nice arty touches. Great deals for for food and drinks. Free pool on Tuesdays and lots of sport available. Fun for kids and a great spacey garden space out back too. Lovely friendly staff !”

“Atmosphere was a bit quiet as there was a huge storm outside so it was less busy than usual. It's normally lively and enjoyable though. Food was exceptionally good, as it always is here. Great value, especially with the annual members card. Fantastic variety, catering for veggies and vegans too, yay! Would love a bit more vegan protein that isn't fake meat, but hey, I'm not complaining, just gently suggesting! Staff are always friendly, capable, available and competent. All in all a reliably fantastic restaurant with great prices, wonderful food, super service and a friendly vibe. Highly recommended!”

“This is a wonderful little gem of a cafe which can easily be missed along the hustle and bustle of Lewes Road. I come in and find the atmosphere inviting and very calm. Definitely a great Ma & Pa joint with plenty of friendly locals (and good food!). Cozy chairs by big windows are a great place to be for some brunch or a morning coffee. Drop by and give it a try!”

“Very modern hotel with everything needed. The car park isn't on site, but it's only a short walk. I would imagine it's a great place to stop in the summer, with views over the Marina. All the staff were very pleasant, helpful and friendly. A good hotel base for exploring Brighton.”
