“Andy gave me a brilliant haircut. I walked in spontaneously and after reading these reviews. It was a dry cut (trim) with clippers and scissors. Andy really listened to what I wanted, checked in along the way and she was super careful to ensure I was happy with how it was going. “My wife and I had dinner on Christmas Eve and it was really good. We both had pizzas that tasted fresh and full of flavour. The orange juice was really fresh and tasty. The end of meal latte was beautifully made. Good food and lovely friendly staff made for a really enjoyable meal.”

“It's a standing joke in my family that Jaba Yard is one of my first stops whenever I'm in Brighton. I've bought quite a few items both in store and online and I love the fact that, in general, the clothes are different to what you can get on the high street. I find the staff friendly and willing to help without being too pushy (in fact I've had some very good advice about what suits me and what doesn't) and the clothes are good quality. At my most recent visit, earlier this month, I saw an outfit but didn't try on or buy, thinking I would be able to buy online when I got home. Unfortunately it wasn't on the website. I emailed Jaba Yard with a description of the clothes I wanted and they were added to the website so I was able to go through the normal ordering process. Amazing. Orders are turned around very quickly and generally received within 3 days of being placed. The returns process is also good. I returned something I ordered that was the wrong size using the prepaid return slip and my replacement items were delivered the following week. I highly recommend this shop.”

“This alley may be famous for its appearance in the film Quadrophenia, but beyond its cinematic significance, there's not much else to do there. However, its central location in the town center makes it incredibly convenient to swing by for a quick photo op. So, if you're already in the area, it's definitely worth the short stroll to check it out.”

“While they had a shop in Carnaby Street somewhatI didn't find one I could wear. But their online shop has huge sellection! Treasure trove of not only amazing shoes but handbags are gorgeous！I own quite a few of both. They are investment for future. I am very sad to learn their manufacturer isn't available any more so clearance is going on (September 2025). Get bargain before closure! I hope they can find a British manufacturer soon, and don't let the wonderful designs lost forever. It will be crime against style!”

“I couldn't recommend this place more! I had my hair cut here and they did a great job, then a little while ago I brought my toddler in to get her fringe trimmed and she was hesitant to come in. The girls were amazing and tried lots of ways to encourage her to come up, even sat on the floor colouring with her until she was comfortable and then cut her hair no problems. So grateful thank you!!”

At my last visit the wonderful staff had put aside a couple of dresses for me to try that I'd messaged about earlier in the week. They also had my perfect velvet jumpsuit in store, that wasn't available online - they specifically went out of their way to find it for me. “Being a first time shopper here I have honoured this store with five star rating. I always assed it would be the kind of outlet where you would need a second mortgage to afford any items and always walked past it. How naive of me to do so.. As winter is rolling in I browsed around Worthing looking for a coat and found many stores that had restricted movements in the arms. When I tried here as a "browse" I was impressed with the same quality of jacket reduced to £40 compared with the likes of TKMAXX which wanted £120.. Saved me £80 coming here.. If like me and you work outside I would highly recommend this store.. Staff seemed friendly and professional.. Service is top notch and as a customer seeking clothing items it is one of the best experiences I have encountered.. I will definitely be returning and investing my money if I get quick, professional, quality service as well as the products.. What I bought is the technical performance winter jacket reduced from £90 to £40 and since leaving the store I haven't taken it off I'm that impressed with the quality.. Overall shopping time here:- 10 minutes maximum.”

“What an amazing shop Daisy Daisy I ordered an Albee bee but unfortunately it got stolen from outside my house so I contacted them to say what happened and said they would contact Royal mail and said the bad news was they had sold out but one of the girls had put one to oneside and no longer wanted it so sent me it in the post came within 2 days what an amazing thing to do. My granddaughter is so happy and I can't thank them enough would recommend them to everyone buying a Jellycat 5 star service.”

“I recently travelled from Canada to the UK for my sister-in-law's wedding. I brought a frock with me but wasn't entirely pleased with the fit. On a whim, I popped into Hobbs, Brighton, on a 'just in case I see something' basis. Well, thank goodness for Lorraine. In the end, I threw myself on her mercy: "Please help!" Having lost my shopping 'eye' some time ago, I asked Lorraine to suggest some things for me and ended up trying on quite a few different dresses, jackets and so on. Including things I would not have picked out for myself. Lorraine displayed the patience of a saint and, when I asked her for it, gave me her honest opinion about what looked best. In the end, it came down to two options (both gorgeous and very flattering). I um'd and ah'd until I remembered that the joy of being a menopausal woman - who can't make a decision and has long since forgotten how to shop - is that I could afford to buy both. Many thanks to Lorraine, and her lovely colleague whose name I didn't get, for such friendly kindness and expert advice.”
