“My wife and I booked to see Venom: The Last Dance on a whim as this was the only cinema with advanced bookings and we're so glad we did! Sleekly designed, clean, modern and spacious it really made going to the cinema feel like a luxury. The sofas were so much more comfortable than traditional seating and having legroom as two six foot people was superb. The staff were engaging, polite, welcoming and helpful. They even went out of their way to offer a substitution on my wife's ice cream sundae when they'd run out of matchmakers. The food and drink was reasonably priced considering the level of service as well as being delicious. The decaf cappuccino I had was of good quality and that's rare to come by. Overall, we're completely sold on this cinema being the best visit to watch a movie of our adult lives, we will be back, and you should check it out too.”

“Lovely authentic feel to the building. The seats in screen 4 are so comfy and would be cheap at twice the price! I had the most amazing time! One teeny tiny negative was the surround sound was overwhelmingly LOUD.”

“What a brilliant little theatre! A Lewes gem. Comfy seats, fabulous little bar upstairs serving Harvey. Heck, there’s even real tea on tap. I can’t comment on the quality of the plays (ours was a blast: Hound of the Baskervilles), but the venue is marvellously sincere.”

Please may I say a special thank you to the female usher with the short hair who was kind enough to assist me on Saturday 6th December at the 2pm pantomime performance (Peter pan) I was embarrassingly overcome by a fear of heights and she was so compassionate and understanding and found me and my family new seats. ““Every cloud has a silver lining”. This is so much true for what happened with the Hever Festival theatre. After a devastating fire a couple of years ago, the management has done everything possible to rebuild the premises, and continue with the marvellous summer festival - in almost impossible conditions. However, now a days the new open theatre looks amazing, has a large see-through roof and the seating is as comfortable as ever. Combined with a choice of either luxury dining in the Pavilion near the lake or a picnic anywhere on the grounds, if one so wishes, it is a marvellous place to spend a long afternoon and evening. But that’s not the only plus! The event promoters for this lovely venue have done outstanding job engaging highly professional, highly skilled, super talented artists, musicians, singers, actors, comedians, entertainers. There hasn’t been one performance that has fallen below par. Each event leaves so much joy and pleasure! Each performance is provided by extremely well rehearsed, polished, professional acts. Another plus - the volunteers. It’s rare nowadays to come to a venue where the ushers, helpers and ticket booth checkers are so kind, calm, well trained and helpful! Well done! And if the British wether behaves, each summer night spent at the Festival theatre can turn easily into a forever memorable event. The new building relies on the government’s and the public support.”

“I like the Capitol. I find the atrium area attractive and welcoming, the seating in the theatre is comfortable and you can get some good value cinema tickets here. The bar area can get full if there's a full house in the theatre and sometimes the queues for the bar are too long. A nice alternative is to go upstairs to am additional seating area and balcony - there's an extra toilet up there too. Unfortunately no bar upstairs though. Overall, I always have a good experience here.”

“The backstage tour is interesting, eye-opening and contains a spiral staircase of impressive height. Enthusiastic people taking you round and a cup of tea to finish. Definitely worth adding to your agenda.”

“Always a wonderful venue to visit. Such lovely staff who are always willing to assist and go the extra mile for everyone. The venue has the most amazing shows. We've seen acts from tribute singers, top touring West End productions to even circus acts. Would be nice to reintroduce more ice-cream flavours and have coke, lemonade, fanta, etc, on tap rather than be given a pint tin of lemonade for a shandy but apart from that very minor niggle, I honestly can't fault this place. It's a great venue to have in a great location.”

“This is such a fab local cinema. Good screen, good sound and comfy seats. Its decor may be a little faded, but the ticket prices are super reasonable and we always buy our snacks and drinks at the kiosk because the prices are fair and cheap (not a rip off like big chain cinemas). This is such a gem in Burgess Hill. We always go here :-)”

“All three of my daughters and my husband have worked with this very inclusive company. My youngest daughter has been with PTC since they first started on a Saturday with very few students and still loves going every week. Everyone is given a equal chance to have a go at everything regardless of there ability. Very Highly recommended company.”

“The pantomime was brilliant. It was our first ever visit to a panto at White Rock and we weren't sure what to expect. However it had excellent scenery, script, costumes, dance routines and of course the lead characters. Couldn't fault it. We will definitely be going next year!”

We chose our table, the decor was really cool, servers were exceptionally friendly and when the food came out, it was excellent. Reasonably priced and great quality. Served with a smile. “Had lunch here with some friends. Large popular pub and not ruined by a makeover. The food was very good and reasonably priced. They have special offers depending on the day of the week. The Harvey's beer was in good condition. It was a Tuesday and fairly quiet. I understand it gets busy in the evenings and at weekends. There is a large outdoor seating area if you like that sort of thing. Will definitely go back when next in Lewes.”
