Cafe in Bath

“One of my favourite stores to buy hot chocolate powder. We can buy it for ourselves or as a souvenir/gift for family or friends. Many variety of chocolate, and tea to choose. The store provides free sample of hot chocolate, hot white chocolate, and some hot teas. The staff was friendly, and helpful. Toilets for customers are not available.”

“Lovely place, you can either sit outside or inside in the second floor, the view and decoration are amazing. The staffs are cute and friendly too, good tea and food. Highly recommended for anyone who visiting Bath, you really have to try this once”

“I had a fantastic experience at Hall & Woodhouse. The food was absolutely excellent—full of flavour, beautifully presented, and arrived piping hot despite how busy it was. What really made the visit outstanding, though, was the service. Everyone there was outstanding. Luke went above and beyond for us, even during the hectic Christmas period. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. A brilliant visit all round. Highly recommend!”

“I was travelling with my toddler and parents. The staff obliged me with an early check-in for one of the rooms, which was very considerate. The location is great and property itself is very nice. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I recommend this property to anyone wanting a nice stay at Bath. We also thank Fauzia for going out of her way to help us. “Oliwia was fantastic! So friendly, attentive and helpful. She was patient as we decided and checked on us several times. My husband and I both ordered filets. They were delicious, however mine was one notch above the temp I requested. But I didn’t say anything as the cut was a good quality so it was enjoyable. The chips and sides we ordered were also delicious. The Diane and Peppercorn sauces didn’t taste very different (they may use the same base for both) but they have several sauces to choose from which is nice. You can tell this place specializes in burgers and steaks so it’s a good go to if you’re in the mood for either. The waitstaff goes above and beyond to make you feel looked after (with several people checking in with us throughout our meal). Ask for Oliwia if you stop by!”

“We had lunch here and really enjoyed it. I had a nice Welsh Rarebit and a cup of soup, the wife had a jacket potato with lemon tuna mayonnaise. All tasted great. These two meals, a bottle of rhubarb lemon, a bottle of ginger beer and a packet of crisps was less than £30. There was a big range of lovely looking cakes, teas and coffees, but we were a bit full to have anything else.”

“We stayed overnight and loved it. The room was really comfortable and had a nice view over the river. The pub serves really good food and the staff are really friendly. It is also dog friendly which was great as we had our pup with us. Will definitely stay here again!”

“My ‘go to’ menu item everytime I visit is the ‘Full Monty’! Proper dirty breakfast bap full of good stuff. Bacon, sausage, black pudding, hash browns egg and mushrooms. Especially favoured the morning after a heavy night out. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. A must visit if you’re ever in the area.”

“Lovely garden centre at the top end of Bath with fair prices too. Lots of choice and free advice from the friendly staff, worth signing up for the extras you get at checkout ! Big car park down the hill so don't think it's full when pulling into the entrance.”

“Came in here for lunch. The service was good and very quick. We ordered the bacon and cheese burger with fries. I didn't enjoy the sauce which came with the burger, the rest of the burger was delicious. It was a fair size and a really good price. The bacon and cheese burger was only £12.”

“We went to Cafe Rouge in the evening for an early dinner. They have an interesting menu with ample veg/non veg and vegan options. The staff is very courteous. We paid around 40£ for 2 adults and a kid.”

“Charming Traditional style cafe in the indoor Guildhall Market. No fancy coffee here. It's tea or coffee, and the menu is a basic cafe menu. It's got a reasonable amount of seating, and the service was fairly fast. Plenty of locals were coming and going, so it was quite a popular place. I had the English breakfast, which was nice. There are plenty of sandwich and toasty options.”

“I was out early, doing my garden bird food shopping, etc.The garden centre shop was quiet. I tried the Secret Garden Cafe for the 1st time & found this was where all the shoppers were! I had a full English B/F. The staff was friendly. My server was the lovely Maisey. I can't wait for better weather. Then, you can sit outside if you like! J.W.”

“Beautiful little cafe, we didn't know it existed. Popular place to stop for a cup of tea, coffee, cake or ice cream for walkers and cyclists.”

“What an exquisite building, and it's many uses, steeped in history, before being adapted to this wonderful restaurant! The first time I'd been recommended by my Daughter and her husband. I went to Bath for a two night stay with two friends, who also had not visited before. We all agreed it was a fabulous evening! It was most certainly a treat, likewise was the food! The Sunday roast was very tasty and with unlimited yorkshire puddings & gravy. We did book our table. The service was swift and attentive!”

“This place is lovely and welcoming. The service was great, food was amazing. The only downside is they add a gratuity onto the bill without telling you or even giving you a heads up (we had a party of 4). When questioned this they said that it’s added due to the level of service. I live in Canada (grew up in UK) and when I go to a restaurant, regardless of the service, I always like to choose what I’m going to tip. The sad thing about it was I was going to leave a really nice tip but seeing as this wasn’t disclosed when we received our bill, one of the guests asked them to take it off and I gave the tip but less than what I initially had in mind as I felt this was so sneaky.”
