“Met up with family to celebrate our son's birthday. The waiting staff girls were really friendly. We ate fairly early (6pm). The tables were spaced far enough apart to make it seem intimate. Lovely atmosphere in The Crown and the food was delicious and nicely presented. Good choice of beers.”

“It's got a great venue, but I just like the garden and sitting in St Nicks market... Lots of fun people, always a good place to go and watch the world do it's thing... When I say garden. I mean the venue is technically the seating area out front, even though there's no grass... I call it a garden, and it's nice to sit there any evening..”

“Great place to stay! The rooms are freshly renovated and feel brand new. Super comfy bed and a small but cozy bathroom. The pub downstairs, owned by the host, has a great vibe with friendly locals. There are nice restaurants and a spar 2 in the same street. Bus stop right at the door takes you to the old town, or it's an easy 30-minute walk. The host was very responsive and even left us some Easter treats. We highly recommend staying here!”

“We have always wanted to try this pub, as we have lived in Bath for over a year now. We came in Saturday and asked about their Sunday roast, and how the cauliflower cheese was done. Daniel said “I’ll show you” he then went into the kitchen and made his home made Yorkshire pudding and a pot of cauliflower cheese, as a taster. This was amazing, so we came back for the roast on Sunday and wasn’t disappointed the size of the plate and food was fantastic. They also put the Women’s Rugby on for us, which was a bonus. Lovely place, with friendly staff and will definitely be back. Thank you for a great experience.”

“We order dominos to be delivered to me often and the guys who deliver are always so friendly and love seeing my dog. The food is amazing. We got the burger fries and the carbonara pizza for the first time and oh my gosh they were amazing.”

“My daughter had a tooth extraction with Mark at the Knowle, Bristol branch. She was beyond anxious and we communicated this with Mark before. He was fabulous, calm and explained all he needed to explaining the risks but in a sensitive/ positive way. He allowed her to listen to her music and whilst she didn’t enjoy the experience, even she admitted it was better than she expected! My sincere thanks to Mark”

“The hotel and bar are steeped in history, reflected in the oak beams and narrow corridors. The rooms and breakfast were very good and the staff friendly and helpful. A perfect location right in the market square, although the bar can get very busy as it's a popular place (especially on a Wednesday for market day). Very limited and tight parking- we had to park in the long stay council car park in Tucker Street; a ten minute walk but only £4 for 24 hours. Well worth a visit, we will come again.”

“We had a Sunday carvery which was booked late. They were very accommodating and the food was lovely. We were told to wait 10 minutes if we wanted fresh beef which we did as this is what my husband wanted. I had Turkey and there was a large choice of vegetables, with mash and roast potatoes. All of it was hot and the meat was very tender. Will definitely return. Thank you.”

“Amazing service as always. I have shopped at Crown Hill Nursery many times now, and no longer buy flowers anywhere else. This was my first attempt at ordering the flowers online, and once again I was impressed with the whole process. Ordering was simple, the choice was huge (also split into occasion categories which helped me loads seeing as I have no idea what’s appropriate for certain occasions), There were clear pictures and descriptions so that I knew exactly what I was buying, along with message spaces to request alterations to the order or to ask questions or add a personal message to a card. I was also pleased to be able to use PayPal as an additional payment to the regular credit/debit card options. Although the store was closed when I placed my order I still received a personal reply and confirmation of my order within 30 minutes, from Michelle responding to a comment I left while placing my order. (This was the icing on the cake) I didn’t opt to have the flowers delivered, and had requested to collect them myself on a Sunday. The atmosphere as always was very friendly and welcoming. My order was ready and waiting for me and was absolutely perfect in quality & presentation. I would have no concerns about having flowers delivered from here without seeing them first. The young woman that served me discreetly noticed I was totally unprepared to transport fresh cut flowers that had been ordered complete in water filled vase in display wrap (hey, I'm a typical bloke, what do you expect) She was kind enough to loan me a wooden container to prevent the flowers from falling over in the car (Even if she did threaten to chase me if I didn’t return it the following week. Maybe I should have held onto it a little longer to see what happened haha). Crown Hill Nursery goes above and beyond when it comes to making sure the customer is happy. I will be returning again in May. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed. Roy”

“Stayed here for three nights before moving closer to Oxford. Wished we had spent all of our time in this beautiful country establishment. The owners and their wonderful team were beyond wonderful. Service was impeccable and the rooms were beautifully presented and comfortable. Meals were absolutely delicious and the pub was everything you expect of an ancient country inn, fireplace, fabulous bar, anda warm and friendly atmosphere. This place was the stand out highlight of our UK holiday”

“I have been well looked after here by helpful friendly competent staff, including when I was unexpectedly unwell. My most recent work was a filling without anaesthetic - it was done with care and didn’t hurt. Note: Quite a lot of people come in wanting to be seen immediately with a dental problem, however they don’t do walk-in appointments. You need to dial NHS 111. John on reception patiently explains this many times every day!”

“Saw Dr Gaye and Huda the hygienist. Have been a patient of Gaye and this practice since I was a child but hadn’t been since before the pandemic and got through to reception on 2 rings. They were able to book me in the next week. Gaye is great and did a checkup and Huda was friendly and did a really thorough clean. She took her time to go through my dental routine and recommend the correct size interdental brushes. Although the hygienist is private, the price was extremely reasonable. In the current climate, I feel so grateful to be a patient of this NHS practice. Thank you Bupa Dental Care.”

“What can I say? Apart from now on these guys are my number one go to for any body repairs! Had some insurance work done elsewhere, poping around body shops getting some prices, when a few days later I get a call from Mark at irg Bristol (workshop manager).my number got passed to him by another body shop manager that thought these guys would be the better option for my car. He'd heard about what happened with my car previous from a different body shop and knew he could help me! I popped over the same day to see him and what a sound guy! Cleaned and inspected my car, figured out what needed doing and dealt with everything for me! Gave me a rather impressive hire car! Got the car back a few days ago and what a difference! Car looks amazing and the grin on my face said it all to be honest! If your after a professional company to take care of your pride and joy irg Bristol is the way to go! You also get a perfectly brewed tea when your there! If only all company's was run like this and took as much pride in their work!”
