“First ever visit - absolutely loved it. The food was hot n seemed freshly prepared and it was oh-my-god delicious. The sauces offered on their table are vegan and taste damn good with the noodles, must try. The ambience of the restaurant is also beautiful, serene and tidy. They have good veg options. The staff helped me understand the items on menu, as all of it was new to me. I'm glad I tried Itsu.”

“Really nice chicken katsu curry. £11.50 is extremely reasonable for the big portion you get and I enjoy it! Can’t say I’ve ever had authentic katsu curry to compare this to but I like the dish enough that I’ve gone back for it a couple times. Also interesting to note that I can eat it despite having terrible spice tolerance. I asked the lady at checkout if this dish was meant to be spicy and she said no - I ordered it and although I did find it spicy, I somehow enjoyed it? Usually if something is spicy to me I cannot eat it at all but I ate the whole plate. Just an extra bonus that this dish is helping me develop my tolerance lol!”

“I ordered a sauce for my noodles, which wasn't to my liking. I voiced my displeasure, and one of the workers Ahmed, took it from me and mixed it with another sauce and it came out lovely. Brilliant service from him, and greeted me and my friends with a smile on his face at 12am!”

I have always felt the food is the best in the whole of Bath, and to boot the atmosphere has a warm buzz every time we go, the service staff are always really friendly and welcoming. “We visited Tuk Tuk as we’d heard their Korean Fried chicken was delicious and it certainly was, it was the highlight of our meal. The beef brisket boa buns were also delicious, the meat fell apart. The chicken dumplings were tasty, personally we prefer fried ones, although they had a slight crisp on the bottom and for steamed dumplings they were the tastiest I’ve had. The sauce with them was also very nice, in other places I’ve found it too acidic but it was the perfect balance and really added to the flavour. Friends ordered the prawn bites and salt and pepper squid which they both enjoyed. They also had the katsu fries, the sauce was really good, although they did find the powder on top had quite a kick to it (it’s not listened on the menu so if you want it mild ask them to leave this off). We also shared the yakitori, Japanese style chicken teriyaki skewers which we wouldn’t order again. It tasted fine but we all felt we were expecting more from the dish and compared to everything else was just okay. The chicken pieces are small so you get more for your money from the other dishes portion or taste wise. Service was great, the staff were friendly and attentive. One friend requested no peanuts on her chicken, a preference, but they were good to straight away check no allergies. We pre booked online on the day, it was quick and easy to do. We visited 6:30 on a Saturday evening, most others were walks ins and it was fairly busy. The food came out quickly and nice and fresh and hot.”

“Whilst walking to the Bristol Museum via Park Street, we spotted some Chinese pastries in the hot display so we stopped by for some snack / desserts after visiting the museum. My dad was more intrigued with the name of the cafe as my parents are from Sai Kung. You order at the counter and it's cash only. We ordered egg tarts (蛋撻), char siu pastry (叉燒酥), mango pudding (芒果布甸) and mango sago pudding (楊枝甘露). I've forgotten what's the individual price but it was £19.40 for the four items. Reasonable price. The best points were the flavours and the portion size. We enjoyed the pastries that seemed like they were just out fresh from the oven. Hot, crispy, not too sweet and plentiful of meat filling (for the char siu pastry). Same for the pudding; not too sweet and decent portion size. They were pre-made and stored in a tub in the fridge. Definitely would stop by again when we visit Bristol in the future.”

“8 of us descended on this lovely cafe after running part of the Cotswold Way. Service was excellent. We all have different breakfast meals but they all came out hot and fairly quickly. The cakes looked to die for but no room left. All of us will definitely be back when in the area again.”

“Absolutely loved our meal at Bandook! The chicken and lamb biryani were full of flavour – tender meat and fragrant rice. Would be great to have a spice-level option for the lamb. The samosa chaat was delicious but could use two samosas instead of one, especially for sharing. The fish and chicken wings were both standout – crispy, juicy, and packed with flavour. Washed it all down with a super refreshing nimboo pani. Friendly service and great atmosphere. A couple of small tweaks and it would be perfect. Highly recommend the restaurant. It is a bit on the pricy side which you'd expect for the area!”

“Enjoyed a beautiful meal with my sister here this evening! Such a lovely little restaurant, we enjoyed olives & calamari followed by a beautiful spinach risotto & four cheese pasta, all absolutely delicious! We were fussing over what to have for desert and we really fancied Affogato (ice cream with an espresso poured over) which wasn’t listed, but they kindly agreed to provide for us!! The staff were really attentive & welcoming and the food & wine couldn’t be faulted; we’ll definitely be returning! Thank you for a wonderful evening ☺️”

“Ever since it reopened, The Rose has become such a gem of a place. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, with lovely staff who always make you feel at home—Tony especially stands out, he’s brilliant. The Wednesday quiz nights are so much fun and easily one of the best around. Great mix of laughs and a bit of competition. I’m more into wine and spirits, and there’s a fab selection (my partner rates the beer too). It’s the perfect spot for a casual night out. Highly recommend!”

“Visited for a Sunday roast, on entering was greeted by a clean but somewhat dated room, with a small bar and a serving area for a carvery. The room was busy but my party managed to find a table, after buying drinks we decided to eat, there was a choice of three meats and a wide choice of veg. After returning to our table and starting our meals everyone agreed that their meals were excellent and were all thoroughly enjoyed. Judging by how busy it was, everybody else enjoyed theirs. Can recommend eating here.”

“Best pizza in Trowbridge and surrounds by a long way! The dough is divine. Many toppings that are unavailable elsewhere, and the quantity is always generous. Prices are ridiculously reasonable. Funda and her team are just lovely. I’ve eaten pizza in various towns and cities in Italy and what is considered to be the best pizza place in New York. No complaints from me!”

“OMG absolutely incredible!!! I had Fried Chicken Katsu Curry and Noodles & Crispy Hoisin Duck Bao - 10/10. The bao was super soft, hoisin sauce was rich (duck was a little chewy but that is expected from duck) and was massive portion. Bit portion for the noddles - had enough for leftovers the next day. Will come back again”

Everything was well-presented and kept fresh, and I especially appreciated the dishes being cooked to order right in front of you. The quality of the food was impressive, and the flavors were delicious across the board. The staff were also friendly and attentive, which made the overall experience even better. So far, this is the best buffet I’ve had in the UK – great value for money and definitely worth a visit. I’ll be coming back again!”

“Well, this place is definitely a hidden gem! Really well decorated, perfect table settings, the food was excellent, the service was quick and friendly. I loved the glasses used for coke, and the little fish which acts as a chopstick holder. Nice touches. A perfect Sunday night meal.”
