“Went in there today (Sunday 16th August 2020) the roast pork belly was absolutely outstanding, some of the best crackling and juicy tender pork I've ever eaten at a pub/restaurant! The gravy was full of rich flavour, the vegetables were cooked to perfection and a great selection too. I really highly recommend this establishment! The food really was top draw, attentive staff too and very well organised and sign posted during these times made the whole experience a real treat, i will be returning and I cant wait to do so! Also the lemon cheese cake with vanilla ice cream was the perfect finisher for this delicious meal!”

“This is a wonderful outdoor stall selling fresh fruit and vegetables at very good prices. It is just outside Marks and Spencer and open from 8:00am on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. This is an excellent safe place to stock up with fresh healthy produce without having to enter a crowded supermarket.”

“We came here for a Sunday roast, and it was one of the best roasts I’ve ever had! The quality of the food was amazing. We shared 3 different cuts of lamb which were cooked to perfection. The presentation of the food was exceptional, and there were plenty of vegetables. Everything was top-notch. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. This is such a lovely place in a beautiful town. I’d highly recommend this place. I will definitely be back to try something else on the menu.”

“We only came here because the restaurants we wanted to go to were closed, and thank god they were. The garlic bread with cheese was really good, the pepperoni and the cheese from the pepperoni pizza was absolutely delicious, and the fries we got were one of the best fries I’ve tasted this year, I finished it in a few minutes. The waiters were also really friendly and nice, only criticism I have is the 4 person table we sat on was kind of small, forcing me to be a bit separated from the table. Either way, the interior was also really beautiful, especially the paintings.”

“Visited on a quiet Tuesday lunch time with my daughter and had the £10 adults meal deal which includes a 9” inch Marg (I paid an extra quid for prosciutto), dip (I went for the pesto mayo) and any soft drink. Food all superb, their sourdough pizzas and faultless and I’m obsessed with the dips. Kids meal deal at £10 is slightly higher end but the pasta and ice cream were both demolished with relish so worth it! Kids do eat free with an adults main though (Sun to Friday) - so next time I’d pay for a 12” regular pizza and get the kids meal free, I was just a bit flappy yesterday and hadnt worked out which was better value! (Doh…) Marked slightly lower for atmosphere just because it was a bit empty in there when we visited, but I’ve been when it’s busier and it’s very ‘buzzy.’ We love the decor and vibe.”

“I have been coming here semi-regularly since it opened and both the food quality and experience is consistently great. The service is always friendly and many of the staff members appear to have been there for some time - I good sign IMO. The food from the lunch, main and Sunday menus is tasty, well-presented and high quality. I appreciate the strong focus on local produce (food and drinks menu), both from a taste point and the positive local economic impacts that this has. The in-house gin and honey production are also lovely touches. They are a great addition to Staple Hill, both aesthetically with the beautiful green-wall and my garden benefits the extra bee pollinators.”

“Harry, Sam, and Leann were absolutely lovely – the kind of people who make you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time walking in. Service with a smile (and possibly psychic powers, because they always seemed to appear just when you needed something). As for the food? Outstanding. So good, I considered proposing to the chef – or at least writing them a strongly worded love letter. Every bite was a reminder that happiness can, in fact, be deep-fried or slow-roasted. Honestly, I’ve been trying really hard to find something to complain about – maybe the chairs were too comfortable? Or the portions were too generous? Nope. Can’t find a single fault. 10/10 would eat again (and again… and again).”

“We generally stop at this little cafe when we do our local food shopping in North Street. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Service is pretty prompt. There's inside & outside seating and you can usually find a table. The coffee is reliably good. We sometimes have brunch/lunch and have always enjoyed eating here. The menu changes periodically and whilst there's no 'traditional' breakfast, the choices are always interesting. Food is freshly prepared, hot & tasty and usually has lots of fresh herbs. Sausage rolls are good too!”

“A lovely place to have bunch on a lazy Sunday! The price is reasonable for two bagels and cups of coffee. The bagel is out of the park and the cafe uses milk from a nearby farm for their coffee. There is parking on site and pretty accessible. Great atmosphere for a morning date.”
