“I am so very sad to see this wonderful practice close. Since 2017 they have cared for my dogs in such a professional, kind and caring manner. Marj Edwards in particular has treated some of mine with homeopathy alongside conventional medicine, actually allowing my whippet, Rupert, to enjoy eleven comfortable months following a terminal cancer diagnosis in 2017. My heartfelt thanks goes out to Marj and also to Rhian who was so kind when I had to make the decision to have my greyhound, Wilson, put to sleep only four days after he became ill so suddenly. Of course I hope more than anything to see the practice reopen and will return immediately. However Marj Edwards will be a hard act to follow. Thank you Marj for seven years of outstanding veterinary care. Thank you too from my current two, Guinness and Adrian.”
“My dog broke his leg a couple of months ago & the whole team from the very start have been amazing. A big thank you to the Nurses, Vets & Receptionists for their care. Wouldn't go anywhere else!”
“We have used Park Vets for the past 25+ years and always found them excellent. Over the last nine months our dog Harry who was 15 under went an operation on his neck. It was a great success and he bounced out of it, with a new lease of life. Sadly he was taken ill in July and it was decided he would have teeth out. Following tests it was found he was a very poorly boy. We made the sad decision for him to be put to sleep. Through all of this the practise were excellent, in particular Michaela made this sad process easier to bear. All staff were so lovely and supportive. I would recommend them to everyone.”
“Brought our 2 new puppies here for their second vaccinations. All staff we encountered were so lovely, the vet was great with them, and the appointment went without a hitch. Not only is it close to where we live, so that is great, they do a healthcare plan too. 10/10 recommend to everyone. :-)”
“Great service. Very polite staff and on time. This is definitely my new vet for our girl which may not be happy now”
“Lovely vets, made my little girl feel so comfortable she gets excited to go now! Update: I got my dog spayed here, and I cannot thank the lovely lady who discharged her enough. When dropping her off in the morning, she explained everything I needed to know. When I picked her up she went through everything, answered all the questions I had, and didn’t make me feel silly for being emotional. My little dog is my whole world, and after some previous dogs of mine had bad experiences with the vets they went to I was very nervous about this process. The staff here are wonderful, and I wouldn’t dream of taking her anywhere else. Thank you all for looking after my little Gwenllian ♥️”
“Lovely vet practice . Have attended for many years . Very friendly and caring staff .”
“Unfortunately we had our border collie called buster put to sleep this morning and everyone at the vets including emma was amazing and can't thank you enough for everything you done for us and emma should be proud of herself and if any vets need a course on how to deal with things like this they or to watch emma in action she was more professional than professional can be that's all I am going to say is emma what a vet u are what a person u are and last word you and the team are perfect”

“I would highly recommend Summercourt Vets in Caerphilly. They are always really helpful and give lots of practical advice regarding my Sprocker and her puppies. A local practice with parking .Very reasonable prices .”
“This veterinary practice is brilliant! I have been 100% happy and trust them implicitly to care for my dogs. Today was no exception. I am currently fostering a mixed breed dog, Spotty, from Romanian (Amicili dog rescued). She is naturally a very nervous and anxious little girl. I have had her since 19/11/23 and while she has made a lot of progress, she remains naturally very fearful of unfamiliar people, barking and backing away from them. Spotty needed to be weighed for her flea and worming treatment, and a check over by the vet. I also took my spaniel Nia as company. Spotty didn't hesitate, as I had anticipated, going into the practice and I attribute this to the calm atmosphere of the surgery made by all the staff. I cannot thank the vet Mirac and veterinary nurse Tracey enough for their quiet, caring patience and the time they took to gain Spottys confidence. They were amazing, not just with Spotty but also Nia (whose mission was to snaffle any stray treats!). Mirac was able to examine Spotty. I was overwhelmed as I had anticipated Spottys resistance and the whole experience being stressful for her. I don't know how long Spotty will be with me before she finds her forever home, but if she needs to visit the veterinary practice again, I hope she will remember today's positive experience. Thank you all so very much.”
“My chihuahua always looks a billion dollars after coming to the groom room here. Also staff are extremely gifted with their knowledge of pets. Shout out to Jodi who gave me fab advice about pet nutrition and helped my dog with flea repellent. £4 a month to treat your pet and you never have to worry about fleas again!”
“We brought our rabbits in for neutering this week and I have to commend the practice and our vet Ross and vet nurse Steph for the thorough and kind care provided to our boys. No question felt too much and we felt so supported through not the easiest of times. Thank you all for your warmth, kind energy and honesty for our boys - we are pleased to report they are both doing really well.”
“10/10!! Just want to say a massive thank you, from the bottom of our hearts to all the staff that was working on Tuesday 4th February! My cat was hit by a car ( we think) and I turned up such a mess, Hannah took my cat straight away and checked her over, the receptionists were absaloutly golden, so compassionate. They had answers and solutions straight away! They kept me updated constantly, offered and explained everything to me and now My little warrior is home on the mend! I can't recommend or thank them enough!”
“I have nothing but good things to say about the Pontcanna branch - they have always been fantastic with our Labrador. Dr Richard is a fantastic chap and an excellent vet - he is very personable, knowledgable and professional. I would highly recommend.”
“Always a calm and caring environment. Jess is extremely efficient and knowledgeable. She takes time to explain treatment options and costs involved clearly. Although busy the whole team takes time to ensure both pet and owner looked after with dignity and respect.”
“I brought my dog to Vets4Pets Newport Road after a rough experience at another vet in Cardiff. There are a few things I appreciate about this hospital: - The vets are skilled with good bedside manner, and I was impressed that they offer sonography, radiology, and orthopaedics. They also take the time to talk through your pets care with you and make sure that you understand everything. - They offer emergency services. Although my dog's case was pushed back a day, they helped another pup with an urgent surgery. I am from the States, and these cases nearly always get bumped to emergency clinics and speciality hospitals. - They respect my knowledge as a licensed vet nurse in the States. Other vets dismissed any concerns or knowledge I had of vet med. I've been in the field for 16 years, and I am a skilled nurse, so I appreciate that being recognized. - Their prices are reasonable. - Most of the staff handled it well when I was upset when my old dog's case was deferred to the following week (there may be some lingering irritation with me from some staff, but that is okay). The only issue I had was with an estimate being a little off, but that happens in vet med. They were able to fix some things to honor the price they quoted me.”
“Such a lovely group of staff, always so friendly and helpful. I put an appointment request form through in the night about 1am and I got a call as soon as they opened this morning to book an appointment in today:)”
“We cant thank the team at Valley Vets enough for taking care of our boy and us, at a really difficult time. The team were so caring and compassionate, they treated our dog as their own. Forever grateful for how they acted in his last moments.”
“Frank and Narla had a two week stay with Puss in Rhoose. All of our cats medication needs were met and our two were allowed to share a suite. They had the choice of both indoor and outdoor space which they could mooch in and out of depending on their mood. Both spaces are very hygienic and the food is supplied unless like us your cat has dietary needs which Donata was happy to use our own. Thank you for looking after our moggies and I would highly recommend this place......for cats obviously.”
“Took my dog here 23/12. Excellent service, kind an very helpful at a very stressful time”
“I have been with Richard and Vale Vets for the last 10 years and I have had nothing but a great service throughout those years. More recently this past December my dog Lexi who is now 13 years old went in for a general check of health, but Richard discovered a mass growing in her stomach. It was not looking good for Lexi as she was an older dog. We didn't know how she was going to react to surgery, we didn't know whether or not she would survive the anesthetic and we did know how much of the mass had integrated into the rest of her body. We made the decision to go ahead with the surgery to give Lexi the best chance of surviving. Richard and his team went above and beyond to care for Lexi and I could never have asked for a greater group of people to care for her. Somehow Richard managed to remove a two kilogram mass from Lexi, Lexi only being 18 kilogram to start with. The surgery was successful and Lexi had come out of the anesthetic. We went in to the surgery to meet with Richard and to see Lexi for the first time, we were given all of the options where it was a 50/50 chance whether or not Lexi would survive the night and we made the decision that we would care for her at home regardless of the outcome, which we had the full support of Richard and his team and again I echo that they were amazing and went above and beyond their job and they there responsibilities. Richard didn't have to do this but he kept in touch with me. He was about to go on holiday with his family, but he kept in touch with me all the way through the night to make sure that Lexi was still going strong. Lexi made it through the night. Lexi was back at the surgery the next day to have a check up, watching her walk back into the building was one of the proudest things I've seen that old dog do. She was greeted with affection from everybody and by this time everybody had heard the story of Lexi and everyone was truly amazed that she had pulled through what was a horrific surgery. We are now three months on and Lexi is doing better than ever. She is running around with our kids, still thinking she is still a puppy. Lexi would not be here if it wasn't for Richard and the team at Barry Vale Vets. We could never thank you all enough.”

“Took our anxious cat to this cattery for 3 nights and I couldn’t recommend it enough. Although she wasn’t too happy to be there, she was given fantastic care and love. They made a big effort to make a fuss of her and build trust. The cattery was clean and warm. Would definitely come here again and highly recommend!”
“This is the best cattery I've come across, and I'm typing this a little reluctantly because if everyone finds out they may not have space for our cats when we need it. The premises are secure and clean, and the staff know all the cats very well, and deal with them all as individuals.”
