“Excellent pub, fantastic range of real ales.”
“lovely food and great service. Some a good time eating here. Bear in mind Friday can be noisy.”
“A group of 8 went for a meal here and it was fantastic! Emily was so welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. The food was superb , steaks cooked to perfection , starters beautifuly presented and generous portion size. Could not fault the place and will be going again. When back in Derby. Highly recommend a visit.”
“The food was lovely, a perfect portion size, really good quality food and very tasty! It is lovely and welcoming and a bonus of being dog friendly along with getting a Pup cup for our pooch. Atmosphere was so relaxing, I could have stayed in there all day due to how cosy it was. Lovely cafe to visit after our dog walking sessions. It will certainly become a regular for us!”
“Great flavours. Seasoned so well. Unlike any Jerk you've had before. They definitely put love in the food. Excellent quality. Food packaged well. Good portion sizes for the prices.”
“Komang Ayu and Harsa started our night of well by looking after us with 2 for 1 Coctails and a quick bite to tide us over… I’ll be def stopping in each afternoon for happy hour (and a sneaky meal) before dinner each night for the rest of our trip. *I also had Brekky here and it was very good…”
“I recently revisited Bistrot Pierre after a long time and decided to try their Soirée Gastronomique evening, a six-course dining experience priced at just £26.95—an incredible value for money. As it was my birthday, I had signed up for Club Bistrot Pierre, which gifted me a free bottle of wine. We opted for the red, and it was a lovely addition to the meal. On top of that, the app offered a free bread side, which was absolutely delicious—fresh, hot, and paired with amazing butter that melted perfectly. The six courses were well-paced and thoughtfully curated. My favourite dish was the Camembert cheese with bread—rich, gooey, and indulgent. The full menu for the evening included: 1. Vegetable tortellini – A light yet flavourful start. 2. Baked Camembert – Absolute perfection with the bread. 3. Cod with potatoes – Cooked beautifully, simple yet satisfying. 4. Eton Mess-inspired dessert – Sweet, airy, and refreshing. 5. Cheese board – A well-balanced selection of cheeses. 6. Hot drink – A comforting end to a great meal (I didn’t take a photo of the tea) For the quality and variety of food, £26.95 per person felt like an absolute bargain. The service could have been faster, but it was super busy! The overall experience was fantastic, from the welcoming atmosphere to the thoughtfully crafted menu. I’d highly recommend this evening for anyone looking to enjoy a tasting-style dining experience at a great price. Looking forward to visiting again!”

“Quirky bar on the Ashbourne road. Serves three cask ales from its own brewery”
“We sat in the bar as we had the dog with us, but we were made to feel welcome. The service was quick, but we were the only ones in the bar area. We ordered The Greedy Greek Platter which was amazing! Good portions and delicious, I didn’t want it to end. One of the best meals I’ve had in a pub. Would definitely recommend.”
“One of the best steak houses I've been to! We went on a date because we had been highly recommended the place and it definitely did not disappoint. The staff are absolutely wonderful and we are very polite. The food's displays came out still cooking in front of you whilst you ate and the alcoholic drinks were amazing - especially the old fashioned. Lots of variety and everything is high quality. Thank you for a great night!”
“I have been here on a Sunday, first me and my friend came in for a drink and the service was lovely. The outside of the pub has incorporated the old fashion bank style as well as the pub design. Must admit I love the outside and the inside of the building. The only downside would be the outside area (garden) due to uneven surface, but you cannot have it all perfect. Other than that I absolutely loved the style all over the pub. Having a stoma bag it is important that toilet is acceptable to be able to change a stoma bag. I cannot thank enough and probably will be slightly bias to say I loved the toilet. It was more than enough to be able to change the bag without any discomfort. I would highly recommend this place to any disabled person. The toilet was clean, the style was lovely and the space was amazing. You cannot ever please anyone, but surely please my needs at the time. I had another drink (coctail) on a way back home whilst waiting for the bus. Again, amazing, polite service. The drink was lovely too. Cannot recommend enough. I cannot rate the food as I have not been ordering any food yet.”
“One of Derby's top three; Derby's top three all punch above their weight on a national scale.”
