“This is the best Indian restaurant we have found, it really is worth travelling to. We have been three times so far and it has been consistently good, the main dishes are great then finishing off with amazing desserts and a pot of coffee with a jug of cream after the desserts which is how it should be but so many others aren't. To top it off it is reasonably priced and the setting which is underground really has a wow factor.”

“Best Indian in Loughborough, if not Leicestershire. We had butter chicken, naan, rice, saagwala and Dansak and they were delicious. The chicken was so tender it fell apart in your mouth. You could taste the difference between the curries which is oddly rare as many seem to use such heavy spices that all flavour is overtaken by them. Great portions and at such a good price too. The man who dealt with us was friendly too.”

“An absolutely faultless, Christmas's Day meal / experience! Often, I've been for Christmas Day meals, only to be left disappointed by the food, service, or friendliness of the staff. This far surpasses anything I've previously experienced! I know it's hard for staff to work on Christmas Day, but these couldn't have done more for us. The team were all extremely friendly, and welcoming. Our server (Ollie) couldn't have done more for us. He was always there for drinks orders, and even made time to chat, despite being very busy. The food was exceptional and very presented. The price, considering it was Christmas Day, was extremely reasonable too. Even the little touches, such as a Christmas card, added to a very pleasant meal. Thank you so much to The Otter, and their excellent team and service.”

The highlight of my visit was the THIC Chick buttermilk chicken burger, which was nothing short of spectacular. The flavours were excellently balanced and the presentation was outstanding, making the dish a delight not only to taste but also to behold. Accompanying the burger, I opted for the plain chips, which were cooked to perfection. However, I also had the chance to sample the Afrikana chips from my wife's plate and was impressed by their delightful seasoning. I wholeheartedly recommend opting for these seasoned chips as they add a wonderful flavour dimension to the meal. The atmosphere at Afrikana was vibrant and inviting, with Afro music providing a smooth and energetic backdrop to the dining experience. “Visited for Sunday lunch. It was excellent. We had the gammon and the pie. Food was all cooked perfectly. A great selection of vegetables. Roast and mashed potatoes. All food was piping hot. Staff were all very good, helpful and attentive. First visit for food - been before and sat outside for a drink. Will definitely return as this Sunday lunch was amazing.”

“Very good, tasty and well cooked. They even make their own BBQ sauce for the ribs. Mostly Chinese dishes but some Malay, and few Thai and western style dishes to mix things up. We were asking how they made their roast pork, as we fancied trying to do it for a BBQ, a while later their cook dropped round with the key ingredient we were missing and told us how to do the marinade.”

“Wow!! We ordered takeaway tonight to our hotel on Uber Eats and the food and service was absolutely excellent. I'm so glad we went with this restaurant. The Singapore noodles and Kung Po dishes were particularly amazing, but all the dishes were great. I accidentally ordered one dish incorrectly, but I phoned and they fixed it no problem as well as preparing our order extra spicy as we requested. It was also really fast delivery of hot food, big portions and well sealed containers. If I lived here I would wash out and keep the containers. I wish we lived in Derby so we could order it again! Best Chinese food I've had.”

“I've tried all the Chinese restaurants in Loughborough and this is by far the best. Great taste, Portions are very generous, the prices are very fair and the staff are super friendly. Best salt and pepper chips, and they make the best King Prawn fried rice ever. I used to go there every day, and i still would if i didn't change work place!”
