“A group of 8 went for a meal here and it was fantastic! Emily was so welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. The food was superb , steaks cooked to perfection , starters beautifuly presented and generous portion size. Could not fault the place and will be going again. When back in Derby. Highly recommend a visit.”

Very good Indian good and really attentive service focused on the customers. Very economical pricing and quality is also good. Comparable to famous restaurants in Derby like Anoki etc.”

“Take my Dad here for breakfast on a Sunday . Food is always great and freshly prepared and never have to wait too long even when it’s busy. The staff are so friendly and helpful . They are a credit to the business .we visit on a regular basis even though Dad lives in Nottingham.”

“My wife and I had a lovely dinner to celebrate our anniversary and The Dial made it very special. They have decorated it for Christmas so nicely and the festive music and atmosphere was great too. “As a group of 39 people we were all seated in the outdoor pods for sunday lunch on 11th November. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff were polite and friendly. Once seated, it was a matter of minutes before our drinks orders were taken and we got told our pre ordered food wouldn't be long. Considering the size of our group and the pub itself was extremely busy, it was impressive how quickly we all got served. The staff were amazing, nothing asked was too much for them! The food was spectacular! With mainly roast dinners being ordered, no one said a bad word about anything. The meat just fell apart and the portions were generous. I would definitely recommend The Bluebell to anyone visiting the area, although I think booking would be the best option as extremely busy!”

“Our booking was for 20 people. The service was efficient and helpful, and everyone was served in good time. Two people ordered the Aubergine dish, but it wasn't to their taste, an exchange was offered, and no charge was made. It was handled very well. Much appreciated how they sorted out the bill for us to pay individually. Excellent!”

“The food was lovely, a perfect portion size, really good quality food and very tasty! It is lovely and welcoming and a bonus of being dog friendly along with getting a Pup cup for our pooch. Atmosphere was so relaxing, I could have stayed in there all day due to how cosy it was. Lovely cafe to visit after our dog walking sessions. It will certainly become a regular for us!”

“A pleasant country pub in pretty rural surroundings. I visited with a friend ona busy Friday evening. The staff were friendly, polite, professional and managed that difficult balance of attentiveness and unobtrusiveness perfectly. Both the selection of food available and it’s quality was very good, I will have to go back to try more of the menu soon. There was a wait between ordering and service but that is expected in the context of properly cooked food and I would not want it to change.”

“Had a lovely meal with my wife at the Thai Basement in Ashbourne. This had been recommended by our in-laws and it didn’t disappoint. Unlike other local Thai’s, the menu is more catered towards western tastes but the food and service did not disappoint. Would recommend a visit if you’re in the area and would also advise to make a reservation and not just turn up as it gets very busy.”

“I like this place so far. The food was good and fresh. Glad it wasn’t oily or greasy like many places. Red food coloring was concerning and could do more draft beers. Over all ok place to eat.”

“This is our favourite indian restaurant in Loughborough. The chicken is so soft unlike other places where it can be a bit tough. Never had a bad meal here and always come back. We enjoy eating in as the inside is really modern and the staff are great.”

“Beautiful restaurant serving authentic Thai cuisine. Everything about this restaurant is excellent: the decor is elegant but inviting, the food is superb, and the staff are fantastic. There’s plenty of options for vegetarians and diners with dietary restrictions. Dishes can also be adjusted according to your personal preference. Special mention and thank you to the lady (sorry I didn’t get your name) who was so lovely and made my day extra special when I told her it was my birthday. Your kindness was very much appreciated. I highly recommend visiting Thailand No.1 Matlock, but I would probably reserve a table if visiting at the weekend as I have a feeling it gets incredibly busy!”

“Very good, tasty and well cooked. They even make their own BBQ sauce for the ribs. Mostly Chinese dishes but some Malay, and few Thai and western style dishes to mix things up. We were asking how they made their roast pork, as we fancied trying to do it for a BBQ, a while later their cook dropped round with the key ingredient we were missing and told us how to do the marinade.”
