“My favourite cafe in Edinburgh! A perfect spot to sit to work or relax with a cake and coffee. Krem Karamel Cafe & More is a brilliant spot to stop by, especially if you're visiting the Royal Botanical Garden. It is a bit on the pricier side but the cakes are amazing and the atmosphere is so cute. It has lots of windows inside which brights the place up and they have lovely menu options along with a plethora of cakes to decide from. Its always hard to pick! They have very cute items for sale too at the back of the shop and at the front they have a little box of creations (earrings and pins) made by a young girl in Istanbul. I love seeing the cafe support a young independant creator, her work is so lovely and was excited to not only bring home a cute set of earrings but also to be able to help her jewelry making endeavors. Her Instagram is pera.craft. The cafe also seem to sell their cakes (if I am not mistaken) to other cafes around Edinburgh- so surely they are one of the best! So if you are looking for the perfect place to stop for a slice of cake and great atmosphere, definitely make the walk to Krem Karamel Cafe & More. (A beautiful walk from city center as well, and you can also take some of the trails around Edinburgh from other spots to find yourself there as well!) Also the bathroom was very clean and large. A good place to spot for a coffee and use the restroom if walking through the city.”

“Hands down one of the absolute most engaging and informative whisky tastings I’ve ever attended. The shop is modestly sized for what they do, and the caliber of quality and professionalism they bring to the table. These folks are bottlers. They are not distillers. Don’t confuse the two. The base of their operations is in Campbeltown. They own tons of barrels of whisky, primarily Scotch singles, but also grains, and other whiskies from around the world. This enables them to oversee the aging themselves. When they are ready to release a particular barrel, they bottle it. They have a phenomenal team of specialists watching over the barrels, because I swear many of their releases were better than what the distilleries are putting out there. What a treat.”

“We were travelling from Wales to Edinburgh and the engine of the car had a breakdown. None of the garages were willing to receive us because we didn't book in advance. Zico learned about us and received us after work. He even fixed the car while we were waiting for uber! He also solved problems that we couldn't solve at other garages, it was really amazing! “This charming and comfortable restaurant inside the Scotch Whisky Experience is a wonderful place. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and service throughout our dinner was exceptional. Both my husband and I got a 2-course meal. We started with the sea trout, which was very fresh and perfectly cooked. It was served with a potato cake, and fresh peas with fennel and a lovely white sauce. The dish was beautifully composed and presented. My husband had a 15-year-old whiskey, while I had lovely craft whiskey cocktail. For dessert, I had the chocolate whiskey tart and my husband had the sticky toffee pudding. Both were excellent. A perfect dining experience.”
