“It saddens me that a recent customer in Spring 2025, chose to use Google to criticise The Swing Cafe. As a local community cafe we don't have the commercial barista coffee machines of bigger organisations so prepare drinks and food with as much TLC as we can. Our aim, as volunteers, is, as much as anything, to provide a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our customers. I wish this lady had made her concerns known on the day. Perhaps our colleague had had a bad day or wasn't feeling 100% but hadn't shared their feelings with others. Had we had the opportunity to discuss it, perhaps we could have made things better on the day rather than left the customer with a bad memory of their experience.”

“An extraordinary church, very historic and interesting. The famous writer Agatha Christie is said to have married here. It can be found at the end of Princess Street Gardens. The very helpful and friendly staff at this church allowed us to enter and take a few photos. The stained glass windows are beautiful. I would recommend a visit if you have the opportunity.”

“We had our kitchen, downstairs toilet and wardrobes designed and fitted by Forever Spaces. From the off Roderick guided us through the process with patience. Nothing was any bother. The team was excellent. Their problem solving abilities second to none. They were friendly and efficient and did what they said they would. We are absolutely delighted with the result and want to thank Roderick, Dave, John, Tony, Robson, Finn, Ali (and his apprentice) and Erty for bringing our ideas to fruition. “Perfect holiday experience. Williamscraig is a set of several high spec holiday homes. 8 of our family stayed in Laurel cottage. It was spacious, well equipped and the beds were very comfy. There was plenty of parking. We made use of the hottub every night, explored the beautiful, peaceful surroundings on foot, and got to feed the gorgeous Highland cows. The town of Linlithgow was a lovely surprise including the stunning castle and St. Micheal's church. The regular trains from Linlithgow station meant Edinburgh and Glasgow are within easy reach for visiting.”

“Lovely place to chill out enjoy beautiful surroundings and colourful gardens. You can have a walk, read a book enjoy a light lunch, take a seat view the water or Arthur's seat. Then go next door to Jock Tamsins garden as this has lovely flowers, fruit trees, views just as delightful . All free except lunch obviously.”

“This venue is absolutely stunning, from the moment you walk through the entrance to the beautifully designed courtyard and the impressive assembly hall itself. The attention to detail in the architecture and decor makes it a truly memorable location for any event. We had the pleasure of attending a performance of Shrek Burlesque (Swamplesque) here, and the hall provided the perfect atmosphere for such a unique and entertaining show. The acoustics were excellent, and the seating offered great views from every angle. I couldn’t recommend this place enough to anyone looking for a top-notch venue. The staff here are also incredibly helpful and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable.”

This was after another saloon I had a reservation with failed me miserably with their services.
