“I've started Tennis coaching at Oriams new 6 court indoor tennis centre. What an excellent resource this is and the coaching is top flight. The courts are brand new and perfectly laid with more than adequate space between then. Racquets and shoes can be provided if needed and the changing facilities, showers etc are very good too. You dont need to be a member just download the Oriam app and book a court or coaching session. There is social tennis too on Tuesday mornings and Friday evenings. I found the prices to be excellent too. There is not just Tennis here the Sports Performance centre caters for Gym, football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, you name it and Its not just for students although they get a discount. The Community program is for adults and children of all ages. Get along and get fit”

“This place is an oasis of calm even when the rest of the city is busy! It's a members only club, and there is sometimes a wait for membership - I had to wait about 6 months, but it was worth it. The pool is often very quiet, with only one or two other people in it - I've had it to myself occasionally! There is a steam room, sauna, and hot pool by the pool, as well as a fully kitted out gym upstairs. The staff are friendly, as are the other members. One of the unique features of this place is that when you join, you get a small locker where you can keep your swimwear. Tag your swimwear with your locker number and you can actually chuck it into the laundry baskets with the towels and the staff will wash and dry it for you overnight, and leave it back in your locker. This means that I can go straight from work, for example, to the club without having to go home to pick up my swimwear. Very convenient!”

“Very friendly and helpful staff, we came on holiday to the area and used the swimming facilities, prices reasonable, facilities clean and staff very polite and helpful, the lifeguard gave the kids floats, goggles and toys, the ladies at reception were super helpful and even ordered a taxi for us, when we struggled. The Costa coffee is reasonable amd the staff were polite”

“The gym is excellent. Equipment very high tech but easy to use. Changing rooms nice and clean and staff really lovely. Hairdryer button is hidden at the back. Not much space makes it difficult to get dressed in the shower cubicle. Quiet at lunch times.”

“Love this pool, me and my children come here often, the wave pool is great and the slide is fun. I like how it slopes from shallow to deep, suitable for babies and great swimmers. Showers are good and loads changing rooms. Kids area has little play parts in the pool.”

“Just read the previous terrible review giving this lovely facility one star and felt I had to respond. This is a beautiful pool and it has a sauna and steam room. It is very clean and well maintained and the staff are so helpful and friendly. I attended an aquafit class here, then I had a swim and sauna. I left the building feeling very relaxed after all the exercise. The £63 membership that the one star reviewer referred to is a full fitness one- this means unlimited access to any pool, gym or fitness class in the city run by Edinburgh Leisure. Pure Gym only offer gym facilities- there is no pool so there are no aquafit classes there. I would not imagine that they are able to provide the range of classes that Edinburgh Leisure do- at Leith Victoria in addition to Aquafit they run Pilates, yoga, Group cycle, RPM, Zumba and many others. I regularly use both the pool at Warrender and attend classes at the Royal Commonwealth Pool and I was very impressed by this facility and will definitely be back.”

“Honestly this pool is a hidden gem in the middle of Edinburgh tucked conveniently behind Haymarket Station. I went at 9am on Sunday morning and was surprised at how busy it was. The group of older gents in the early morning queue were super friendly and jolly and I had a nice laugh with one of them about the lockers and someone stealing his shoes (kids, joking). The pool itself is clean and bright and the space is lovely. On poolside changing which is a nod to the victorian baths. Poolside was really clean. Five lanes catering for different speeds. Let me use my finger paddles which was cool. Showers fine on poolside. The other swimmers were lovely, the lifeguard waved goodbye to me when I left. I’ve rarely been in a nicer friendlier environment. The ONLY downside was the steps to get into the pool were really odd and wouldn’t fit someone with not great mobility to get in and out. There was a brilliant cafe near by for my post swim breakfast. I’ll definitely be back when I next visit Edinburgh. Wonderful.”

“Oh my goodness!!! This was such an amazing spa!! We've been to many and One Spa is definitely at the top of my list. After traveling Ireland and the UK, we thought it would be nice to spend the last day of our trip at the Spa to relax and rejuvenate. My husband and I chose the "Signature at One" package that included 1 hour and 50 minute treatment (body scrub, facial and massage). It also included 3 hours of their Thermal Spa experience. It was absolutely amazing and I recommend everyone experience it!”

“I have only the highest praise for the staff and pharmacists at Rowlands Pharmacy. They are professional and friendly. My wife was doubled over in agony at the weekend with an IBS flare up and she was almost in tears with the pain. In desperation, I went to Rowlands Pharmacy to see if there was anything I could get across the counter. The lady behind the counter listened attentively to my wife's symptoms. She asked me questions to help confirm diagnosis and the on duty pharmacist came to speak to me as well. Some Buscopan, Heartburn & Acid Reflux Esomeprazole tablets and Peptac peppermint liquid were prescribed. I was given great advice on how my wife should take the medication and what to expect in terms of the effects. When I got the medication home, my wife gratefully took the prescribed dosage. The effect was almost immediate and my wife had instant relief from the pain she had been in. A heartful thank you to Rowlands Pharmacy for the exceptional customer service.”
