“The village set up a charity and bought the building to save it from demolition, and it is run by volunteers. The building is dated 1867 and was a school, and the interior is reflected in that. Stunning looking historical building.”
“We recently had our wedding at Left Bank, and 5 stars doesn't feel like enough. Not only is it just THE most beautiful venue (our guests couldn't get over it!) but Sam and the team are just beyond words. They were there to help at every stage, suggesting suppliers and giving general advice on top of helping with more venue-specific things. They did all the set-up, all the take-down, they were so accommodating to every request, and so friendly and welcoming at every point in the planning process. We didn't have to worry about a single thing on the day because we just knew, and could fully trust the team to take care of everything. Everyone we've spoken to and every member of staff we've dealt with has been a delight and so happy to help, we genuinely don't have a single spot of negative feedback. It also feels so special that Left Bank isn't just a wedding venue, so we can return as much as we like for drinks or events and re-live our day. Thank you to the entire team (and especially Sam) for making our day a reality. You're all the absolute best!”
“Good size. Not absolutely massive but cosy and a good number of seats. Well decorated. Well maintained, doesnt feel like its falling to bits like some theatres do. Good temperature (it was cold outside, we were warm enough for coats off but not sweating), good sound and view. Good location -easy for taxis to drop off but still near city centre”
“Well done to everyone including volunteers at tonight's food collection. I currently support The Real Junk Food Project and I hate seeing good food go to waste when there are so many needing help right now. We're all living in strange circumstances and we having no income coming in (self employed), it's a blessing to find these guys. Thank You x”
“Attended a children's craft event, lots of fun & very helpful volunteers - well worth a visit”

“Leeds Town Hall is a breathtaking architectural masterpiece nestled in the heart of the city. Stepping inside, I was immediately struck by the grandeur of its Victorian-era design, complete with magnificent columns, intricate detailing, and a stunning concert hall. The building exudes a sense of history and importance, making it a must-visit for both tourists and locals alike. I had the pleasure of attending a performance in the concert hall, and the acoustics were truly exceptional, adding to the overall ambiance of the experience. Whether you're interested in history, architecture, or the arts, Leeds Town Hall is a cultural gem that should not be missed.”
“What a great little surprise. The manager was super helpful, and the place itself was exactly as a working men's club should be. I have never heard of the place before but will deffo remember it. Everyone should go. It's great and the beer is at the right price as it should be.”
“Great community run café personal service by volunteers. good freshly prepared food that is prepared/cooked to order. A full English breakfast and a pot of tea is less than a fiver.”

“I visited this store on Fri 9th October 2026 to buy a birthday present for a very special person - my future Son in Law. 9th October 2025 was a very special day - it was Mental Health Day. As I stood in the queue at the checkout desk I spent time reading a notice stuck to the customer facing side of the til. That notice explained that if you are struggling to mention it to a staff member because their shop is a "safe place," and someone will help you! A massive thanks to the Leeds United Shop staff and Manager for making sure those who are struggling, for whatever reason, are given a space and a listening ear offering support. However you could maybe make your notice a little bit bigger. If I hadn't been waiting I wouldn't have been stood staring at the counter and seen it. Remember "it's good to talk"!”

“Had a great experience at this salon with Luna. She was very professional and was able to advise me on my colour change. She was very chatty and made me feel at ease during my visit. “Great film school! Small but mighty! The best part about Met is the community: every lecturer is a working industry professional who has great relationships with all their students; non-teaching staff are also super friendly and know everyone's name creating an atmosphere which is very friendly but professional. As a student you will know the majority of your year group and have ample opportunities to network and socialise with other courses and year groups. (MetFilm also has the best parties in Leeds). The kit room is full of great kit available to rent out, although the process could do with streamlining. Modules are fun and very practical: you get your hands on kit a lot in lessons as well as assignments! Great place to study if you're passionate about film and/or acting!”
