“Really enjoyed the meal here. The burger was cooked well and tasted great. The fireball fries were spicy enough to make your lips tingle but not a long burn. The milkshakes were straw crushingly thick. Just the way I like them! The staff were friendly and attentive. The place reminded me of a mini hard rock cafe. If only this place was more local to me. I would be a regular.”

“We called here for a bite to eat before heading around to DeMontfort Hall on Saturday. Our food was cooked fresh to order and tasted lovely. The staff were also lovely (but apologies to the person serving us for asking you to repeat yourself multiple times - I'm terrible with accents!). Slight snag - I did feel bad for the people sat near us that evening, as we ended up stinking of fried food!”

“Really friendly and attentive staff. Comfortable, relaxed seating and atmosphere with the smells of spices from the kitchen occasionally. The onion bhaji was the best I've ever had, very fresh with slight crispiness. Not at all greasy like some places. I also had the Lamb Madras, one of the best (if not the best) curry I've had as well. Fresh and so full of flavour. The curry was hot but not overpowering and there was lots of tender lamb as well. The rice was also lovely and a perfect contrast to the hot spice of the Madras, complimenting the curry very well. As a side I had the keema naan, again, a big portion and very fresh, full of flavour and spicing. Would absolutely recommend this place and will come again if I'm in the area. Managed to thank the chef and his brigade on the way out as well and it was great to see the whole restaurant team obviously take such pride in what they do. Excellent meal, thanks!”

“Heard about Indian Sweet Box on social media. Just had to make the trip from Birmingham to try it out. Thankfully they had a bit of indoor seating with room for our pushchair. Every single thing about this place was absolutely fantastic! So glad we made the trip! Have to admit, after learning about their prices, I was a bit sceptical, thinking that the portions would be tiny. So glad I was wrong. I satisfied my pau bhaji craving for £3. 99. Where else can you get such a delicious, filling portion of pau bhaji for that price? Everything was remarkably cheap and delicious. The samosas were probably the best I've ever had. So filling and tasty, not overly greasy. Had the daal kachori and ghobi paratha box which came with dahi and daal. Everything was so delicious, we got a mithai box to take away. Got a pista barfi, carrot barfi, coconut barfi, chocolate barfi, pista roll, and something we just had to try, the snickers barfi, which was so good, better than an actual snickers bar in my opinion! All of this, the mithai box and lunch, for less than £15!! My wife and I both left feeling satisfied and stuffed! I loved how everything was made fresh. It was evident that the samosas and ghobi paratha, were fresh, made in house. It really came across in the unique, beautiful taste. I'm going to say that I feel the mithai is made in house too. I've tasted a lot of mithai and theirs is outstanding, the best! None of it was overly sweet. They were all more fragrant than anything. Most mithai tends to be overpowered with sweetness and all tastes the same. We could actually taste what the barfi were meant to be... coconut tasted of coconut, pista of pista etc. and the snickers barfi was out of this world! It's not often you get such fresh, amazing home cooked food at such prices and also meet genuinely kind people! The lovely man who works there even gave us some hot jalebi that had just been fried, for free, as we were leaving! Would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone and everyone! Shame we don't live closer, or we would be regular customers!”

“Chatwala at Leicester, is a lovely Indian restaurant. It serves genuine Indian foods and the taste and portion is value for money. We has Aloo Parathas,gobi Parathas,dal tadka and roti, samosa chast,masala tea and soya cheap. It's easy on pocket and good portion too. I recommend this restaurant for genuine Indian food. “Update in Aug 2019 Been here quite a few times now and the food standard is still keeping it up and we almost tried the whole menu. Chinese Dim Sum still my favourite and the sashimi/sushi is also delicious, fresh and descent price. Staffs are friendly and they even kept my hoodie which I had left here 4-5 months ago :) ************************** previous review Decent food and very nice atmosphere... A lot to choose from but we mainly stick with dim sum that evening... friend staff and food was quick. Could be quite busy at night but there are plenty of seats and you could sit at the bar side too.”

“Da Vinci Ristorante is my preferred Italian restaurant in Coalville with it's cosy atmosphere and friendly staff. My last visit was our first since lockdown and surpassed anything that had gone before, it was like coming home after being away for a long time. On arrival the welcome was so special and nothing that we asked for was to much trouble. The all new menu was very exciting and it was difficult to make a decision but we all managed. The food was presented quickly and efficiently in a very friendly service, each dish that I ordered was cooked to perfection and the main course that I ordered was the best I have ever tasted, Marco exelled himself and I have always thought him to be the best chef in the area for Italian cuisine. I can't wait to go back if I am truthful.”

“Good little food hall with a decent variety of options. I do miss the old layout though—it used to feel more like an actual hall. Now it feels like you’re eating in a walkway, which isn’t ideal. If you choose to sit outside the restaurant itself, people are constantly walking past, and the walkway is surprisingly narrow. Still, the food options make it worth a visit.”

“Fosse Park is so much better now that it has this large food court with a really wide variety of restaurants, it makes going to the retail park so much nicer, it’s all new looking and well designed and there are even more places to eat on the other side such as the excellent Volpo Lounge, Boo burgers and Zizzi are also really good. There is so much on offer, hope your stomach can take it.”

“Excellent Takeaway Experience in Leicester During the recent Halloween holiday, we took our children to explore Leicester and selected this time-honoured Chinese takeaway for a meal. It is, without a doubt, the finest takeout I have ever experienced. The food was remarkably fresh and flavorful, and it was still delightfully warm upon our arrival at the holiday rental. Our son highly enjoyed the chicken balls, chicken noodles, and the sweet and sour chicken. We also found the staff to be exceptionally hospitable and kind. I would strongly recommend this establishment to anyone. It is certain to meet your expectations.”

“I had a Lamb Bhuna slightly hot with Pilau Rice and a Plain Naan. The Bhuna was nice and thick traditional style as it is a semi-condensed curry, the flavour balance was perfect. The Lamb was very tender which is always a sign of a very good chef, the portions were very generous. The rice was nice and fluffy, vibrant colours pleased the eye as well as the mouth. The Naan was a good size and was cooked perfectly, nice and soft in the centre with a lovely crispness on the edges. Well worth a visit”
