“Been going here for years but the current set up is top notch. We went for my sons 21st birthday and from the moment we went in to book to the moment we went after the meal, everything was superb. Food was great, service spot on and not too pushy to get us out and we had an area reserved for my FIL who is elderly and in a wheelchair so they accommodated him without any fuss at all. Rachel who managed us was awesome and her team are a credit to her. Thanks Rachel.”

“Me and my sister go quite often, usually once a week. The food is often nice (too nice, hence why we are now fat and broke,a Nandos diet is much needed). Staff are friendly, especially Lewis (pretty sure it is his name, apologises if not). He is always very friendly and has great customer service.”

“After a great first visit in November, I returned to La Cantina in February 2025 for another business lunch – this time with a different group of colleagues. One of my business partners ordered the Chicken Saffron, which looked and smelled fantastic, while I decided to try something new… and epic. I went for The Beast – a massive steak, also called Tomahawk by the chef (who I suspect might be Spanish – which would make sense, given how truly Mediterranean the kitchen feels). Whether it was 32oz or 42oz, I’m not sure – but the size and presentation were unforgettable. Served on the bone, grilled medium-well, juicy, rich in flavour… easily one of the most impressive steaks I’ve ever had. As a starter, I ordered the King Prawns Alla Cantina – partly because my business partner from the first visit couldn’t stop talking about them. And yes, he was right – they were juicy, full of flavour and served hot, just the way they should be. I finished (barely!) with the chocolate fudge cake, which once again delivered that warm, rich, gooey texture I loved the first time – plus smooth vanilla ice cream and generous chocolate sauce. Incredible. I’ll absolutely return to explore more of the menu – because everything I’ve tried so far has been fantastic. And if you’re reading this: drop a comment if you’ve tried The Beast yourself – for me it was a serious challenge. One thing I know for sure now: no more starters before that steak! :))”

“Got a takeaway from here while picking my dog up from a salon nearby. (Not from the area) What a great choice that was. The woman serving was very friendly, I was their first customer of the afternoon, and they made my food quickly and actually seasoned it to perfection. It was really well done. So well done I had to do a review. If you are in the area, it's well worth a visit. I'll be going anytime I get the chance.”

“Had a great visit here. Food was really nice, served hot, tasted great and was good value for money. Nice drinks selection and not overly priced like a lot of places. The service made our visit though. Charlotte our waitress was fantastic. She was happy, smiley, polite and went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. She even came back after we had our meals to ensure everything was OK. The restaurant was busy and she was running round all over the place ( a great employee, just what a busy pub needs). Look forward to our next visit.”

“I have been a customer here for several years and never been disappointed. I popped in a few days ago for my usual chicken chow mein and was asked if I would like to try one of their new noodle boxes instead. Liking noodles but with few local options having been that good I decided to give it a try. I got a hot box which was really tasty, loads of meat and filled me up. Excellent choice to start doing these. I will definitely be ordering one again.”

“Called into the market to do a bit of shopping, my aunt suggested a sit down and a cup of tea, we found a table quite easy even though it was busy, the smell of the food made us hungry , so we had a cup of tea and a full breakfast each. One of the best cups of tea I’ve had in a long time, and the breakfast was delicious, everything cooked just right and more than enough food for the average appetites . The wait for the food was only a few minutes, Staff were very polite, attentive and friendly, tables and floors all very clean and tidy, staff were on the ball , as soon as a table became free , the staff were clearing and cleaning the tables ready for the next clients, staff were always surveying the room to either help anyone that required assistance or clearing tables . Our experience was wonderful, although it was busy, you could still chat without being drowned out by background noise, access is excellent, if you’re not too steady on your feet or use a buggy, there are more than enough tables available around the perimeter… and easy routes between tables , atmosphere is excellent too, the cafe is a cash only I believe but that’s not a problem there are enough cash machines around the building ….. thoroughly enjoyed our break .”

“One of us got a breakfast which is standard you would expect, nice. I ordered a chicken kebab with rice and salad, it took a while to arrive but was absolutely delicious! Well worth the wait, reasonably price and the staff are lovely as always.”
