βRecently attended A and E as a patient. Very impressed with the new location and set up. Very organised with several waiting areas, vast improvement from previous A and E. Well organised and efficient, all staff i came into contact with were professional and polite. Waiting time was acceptable, one should accept that this a busy A and E dealing with hundreds of walk in patients . Patience is the watch word . To me the wait is more than acceptable when considering the high work load . I was admitted as an in patient firstly to Majors ward and then to ward 32 . Throughout my stay i was impressed by the professional and polite attitude by all members of staff i came into contact with and the high standards of care. I found the ward very clean and well maintained a credit to all. A vast improvement from the last time i had cause to visit the hospital as a patient several years ago Peter veeversβ

βI know our NHS isn't perfect but I've just spent 6 days as a patient in Whiston Hospital, I have never met more friendly, hardworking, caring & dedicated people. That includes the doctors, nurses and auxiliary staff. A special mention must be given to all the young nurses working both 12hr shifts. Where would we be without it.β
βDr whittenburg has been great. Whenever I have been unwell he has always been helpful and put me at ease and if needed referred me to hospital clinics when I have needed to be seen by specialist. Please disregard those putting negative comments.. I have been at their surgery for over 15yrs and i have never had any issues ever. he has always been professional and caring about your illness.β
βGreat dentist all the staff very professional and knowledgeable in dealing with patients. The dentist takes the time to explain what treatment is needed & listen to any questions you may have about your upcoming treatments & advise you accordingly. Appointment only. Would recommend this practice if need a regular dentist. As they do accept NHS patients over 18s of entitled to free treatment as & when spaces available, children welcome & they offer a competitive private dental packages with affordable monthly payments to suit all budgetsβ
βNever had a problem with reception, emergency appointments or overall quality of service. The Doctors are very good, i have had to go quite a lot recently. It is a very busy practice and the receptionists have to deal with a lot, to be honest it's some patients I've seen being rude, not the staff, so please keep that in mind when looking at reviews.β
βAmazing staff in the blairbell, Luton, Simpson wards. Very caring, reassuring before and after delivery. I can't thank them enough! Parking wise here, its awful. I advise to set off 20 minutes earlier so you can find a space. More often than not you'll have to go to the overflow at the bottom, however even then it can be full.β
βOur daughter's time at the M.H. hospital was a turning point in her life, thanks to the outstanding care provided by the most professional consultant Psychiatrist, her team & the compassionate nurse teams. The support, empathy, and guidance offered by the sympathetic and caring staff were exceptional. With their help, our daughter progressed into a mature, healthy, and independent young woman. They also dealt and communicated with the outside family in a very supportive and respectful manner. We are immensely grateful for the positive impact this facility had on our family and would highly recommend this serene setting to anyone that needs this support.β
βLovely Reception staff and Doctors. Great surgery!β
βEveryone in the surgery goes above and beyond to make sure patients are looked after. Every time I needed an appointment or support from admin staff it was always sorted, all staff is polite and helpful. I am grateful for being a patient in your surgery.β
βOur experience at this hospital's emergency department was truly positive. We were treated with care and didnβt have to wait long β just the expected time. The hospital was clean, spacious, and quiet. This was our first experience at a hospital in the UK, and we feel very lucky that it happened to be here, especially since some online reviews were not great. The staff were helpful, and we felt safe and supported β which meant a lot to us. There was no discrimination; we were all simply patients. The doctor who saw us was kind and reassuring, and that's exactly what we needed at that moment.β
βJust want to say a huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone at Glan Clwyd Hospital A&E resus and majors for the incredible care they gave my mum during her two recent admissions. When itβs your own family, those hospital visits feel scary and exhausting β but every single member of staff we met showed such kindness, patience, and genuine warmth. They checked on her, reassured us, explained things clearly, and treated her like a person, not just another patient in a busy department. I could see how much pressure theyβre working under. The constant flow of patients, the non stop demands placed on the staffβ¦ yet somehow they still found the time to smile, comfort, and give the best care they possibly could. It honestly meant the world to us. To the nurses, doctors, healthcare assistants, porters β everyone β thank you. You made two very difficult times a lot less frightening, and weβll never forget the compassion you all showed.β
βI highly recommend this surgery. We moved here a number of years ago as our previous surgery was horrific and also lost our medical records. We moved here although itβs a little bit further to travel. I ring up at 0800hrs and always manage to get an appointment for the same day. I get referred immediately for any complaints or bloods required. Recently my 7 year old daughter was sent home from school for a UTI. I rang around midday and she was seen at 330pm the same day. For my pre arranged appointments you never wait for more than five minutes. The staff and doctors all have good bed side manner. Really satisfied by the performance of this practice. By far the best in the area as I have tried other surgeries in the past, so have something to compare them to.β
βThis GP practice is the best by far, my son has been with Wingate since 1998, and cannot fault them. I became a patient last year 20 monthβs ago and couldnβt wish for a better medical center.β
βFantastic practice! The receptionists are friendly, polite and helpful. The GPβs are all really patient, understanding and never make you feel like youβre wasting their time. Dr Martin in particular has been amazing at seeing our little one promptly when heβs been unwellβ
βI attend regularly and I always get someone to make an appointment whether by face2face or via telephone. The service is extremely exceptional. There are times when I attend that the receptionist is busy already making appointments for patients, as well as patients waiting to be booked in for their appointment. There is a new telephone system in place so it may take longer to answer. If I need to speak to nurse, doctor or admin staff who are part time, you can leave a message in their answer machine.β
βFrom the front line of the reception staff they are so caring and the kind person's that answer the telephone who are life savers to people who are in distress that are amazing and the doctor's are amazing too .. plus it is always very clean so thank you to the cleaners too .β
βThis place is fantastic we are from London and one of my family members was up Liverpool- and was admitted to clock view the staff were kind lovely And gentle also keeping us updated - we have never been Through anything like this and didnβt know much - but they were there to help us every time we needed information Thank you so much - 10/10β
βHad a blood test at Bath street. Easy to book, friendly reception staff. Seen a lovely, compassionate, kind phlebotomy called Wingshi Yuen. So efficient, so lovely. I normally end up with a large bruise having blood taken but there wasn't a mark where she'd done it. Great example of what health practitioners should be like all the time.β
βAccompanied a loved one who was struggling to the Mere Suite for an emergency assessment. Night staff seemed to genuinely care and Christian a solid plan together, didn't play pass the parcel like previous experiences with A&E or similar.β
βI cannot fault the Firdale practice. I have been fortunate to not need to see Drβs frequently but when I do need advice or to be seen the process has been efficient and professional. The online consultation works brilliantly and is followed up by either telephone appointment or in person if necessary and the Drβs you see always take adequate time to listen and prescribe accordingly. I can only praise the surgery and grateful to be able to be a patient there.β
βBeen coming to this dentist for a while. The staff are super lovely and receptionist is so attentive. Sometimes it takes a long time to get through on the phone but I donβt think that can be helped given the state of things in the UK atm. My dentist is also very informative and considerate.β
βAs someone who has had many experiences in different psychiatric hospitals, I never thought I'd ever find myself leaving a review remotely like this... I was on Weaver Ward for approximately 3 weeks and the experience I had as a patient was unbelievable and this is mainly down to the staff. The staff at this hospital are just amazing. Every, single, one of them. They spend so much time and effort in supporting all the patients, and its clear they're all so passionate and caring. They have the highest levels of empathy, and not once did any staff ever react in a bad or negative way towards a patient, even in extreme circumstances. They are clearly all so highly trained, knowledgeable, skilled and compassionate All of the below are things that I have never experienced at any other psychiatric hospital but did here: There were psychological groups regularly throughout the week There were things to do on the wards for entertainment such as a tablet you could borrow and use, a radio, a TV that you could control, extensive art supplies, a pool table, a ping pong table and more...and except for making loud noises at night so that you don't disturb other patients, you could do whatever of the above, whenever you wanted There was pet therapy - the most amazing experience ever. You got to hold and feed and take pictures lots of different animals including a rabbit, a tortoise, a skink, a guinea pig, a skunk, a centipede and more... I got given escorted leave every single day which meant I could go shopping and buy whatever I wanted and even went to a cafe to have coffee and cakes while chatting with staff They provided free disposable vapes if people needed them I actually knew who my named nurse was, and they spent a significant amount of time with me, getting to know and understand me and finding actual ways to help me which worked. Nadine, you are an absolute asset to the NHS and one of (if not the best) mental health nurse I have ever met in the NHS. There aren't words to describe how amazing she is, and how thankful I am to her. I will never forget her for the rest of my life I had the most fantastic experience and actually left the hospital a million times better than when I went in (also a first for me) I seriously hope that if I ever need to go back into hospital again, that I'm sent back to Weaver Wardβ
βThis is a lovely practice. The GPs here are kind, caring and knowledgeable. The service I've received for myself and my children has been very good.β
βI have been a patient of Castlefields my whole life. Never had a bad experience. Yes on occasion its been hard to get an appointment but this new call back service/triage form is great no problems. Thanks to all who work there. I appreciate you all.β
βSimply the best GP care I've had in almost 60 years of adult life. When your problem is serious, same day appointments are offered, or for routine matters, book ahead. If, like me, you aren't fully mobile, a phone consult can be arranged if appropriate. And in-person appointments are often followed up by phone. The doctors are supported by a comprehensive team of nurses, pharmacists, care assistants and admin staff β including specialists, eg for diabetes. In this context: my Libre blood sugar monitor is checked online by the specialist nurse every week or so - and if the numbers are out of range, I get a phone call to discuss my insulin and food. Just what the doctor ordered, if you'll pardon the phrase! Unless you ask specially [and are prepared to wait] you probably won't see the same doc every time - but their system captures all relevant info so you get continuity, and that's what matters. Appointments can be at Ropewalks - near the Liverpool One shops β or in the old redbrick royal infirmary building at Pembroke Place, just yards downhill from the new Royal hospital. And BTW the surgery records are linked to the main NHS system β so if you ever need an emergency ambulance the paramedic can see your current record and medication before you arrive at the hospital. This is what primary care should look like!β
βThe mental health team is really good and they have helped me quite a lotβ
βExtremely good reception staff, will always try to fit you in for an appointment.I'vebeen with them since i was a child and can't fault the service they do.β
βI don't frequent the doctor's surgery very often but I have elderly disabled parents so you get to know what is a good or bad GP experience. I have had several appointments in the last 12 months and I have to say I am much happier at Lache Health Centre than I was at Hawarden Health Centre. Staff have been courteous and the doctors have been attentive. I have had multiple different reasons for appointments and I have no negative feedback after seeing several different GPs. I would recommend this practise to anyone in the local area. There is plenty of parking available tooβ
